Ren'Py - The DeLuca Family [Season 1] [HopesGaming]

After having finished version 0.05 which btw already has an insane amount of content,I was stuck with a question in my mind. How can I best describe this game? And the only word that seemed appropriate for it was unique,not necessarily in terms of it's gameplay loop and mechanics or even the setting but the characters themselves which includes your character as well, as you have the ability to mold their perception,either turning them into a cold blooded mafioso or someone who maintains their empathy in a world of killers and warring factions. The dev has clearly put a lot of care into the characters and as you play you will get attached to them especially to Luna. The renders and animation(very little for now) are up there with the best of them but it's easily the story that has the potential to become something great. I for one will follow this to it's completion

I feel sorry to admit that 1 great update (0.05) doesn't make it a perfect game at all! It's just burned into my mind somehow. So much past drama out of nowhere - the latest story event setting was breathtaking, no doubt! I just don't know what to think about the whole game concept. It's less porn than usual. That suits me fine! Mafia plot - yeah, why not? And meeting Wilfred seems to be a big part of the gameplay, yet. But doing text missions without any content is not really entertaining (except for the shopping part maybe). And semi-free-roaming again and again to explore what exactly? Night and day? A gallery option might please repeaters, too.

Nice work hopsgaming one of the best games I've ever played if not the best the 3d models ,the game play & the game flow every thing is just excellent . But the story OMG even with the lack of sex acts and scenes the story is just mesmerizing . I almost cry at the part of little Luna story .You are really good my friend keep up the good work .
PS , Don't you dare kill Luna at the end of the story or at any part of it especially not by that man she fought at "straffan" mission and she ask him to find her later (sorry for the spoiler) but again don't you dare do it ...... I'll hunt you for the rest of your life.

Directly to my favorite games

The game is very good. drawing, characters, story, animation, even comedy and drama
I enjoyed a lot despite not having many characters
I liked the story's mystery and wanted more. The story is very interesting.
I don't see defects even though I don't have full sex. But I liked the caresses, especially with Luna

The best I've played without a doubt. The whole plot involving Luna really caught my eye and in general, all the characters presented were very well done. I really became a fan! Looking forward for updates.

I'll try to keep this straight-forward/ blunt. The game has a lot of potential. However, please be advised, this game has no intercourse in it. Just light touching and a few tease pictures. That is the main reason I took off the stars. I spent hours expecting something to happen and nothing did (felt like I got tricked).

Also, I appreciate the depth of the characters and the back and forth banter. However, sometimes, I wished they would pull back a bit and progress.

If they ever get around to adding the actual scenes you would think a game like this would have, I would give it 4 1/2 stars.

Ok, so it started like a silly comedy about a criminal family, where everything is stupid. Then it stopped being silly, while keeping the comedy parts. Then is suddenly stopped being comedy and turned into an actual criminal drama, but with superpowers. And then feels came, and I fell in love with the game.

Also, Luna is the best girl.

The story starts a bit slow and confusing but it opens up into something unique and beautiful. Luna is the most fleshed character so far and also my favorite. Our romance with her is very adorable and cute and the build up has been insane atm.

I also like the mystery surrounding the mother , our own family and the deluca family. Definitely excited for that. Oh yeah, the render is really fucking great too and the models are hot.

Now the negative ( borderline nitpicking tbh ) :

1. I'd love to explore / develop the 'work' part a bit more , maybe make it connected to the story often or something like that. Would love to actually rise in the rank and command people to do our bidding etc.

2. It's hardly a negative for me but the lack of vaginal sex / sex can actually bother some people to get into this game

This is almost a perfect game for me, i mean if some parts are tidied up and improved it's actually my top 1 in this website no joke. But as it stand it's "only" my top 3. Anyway that's enough from me, hope the dev keep up the good work and the world not ending before this game is finished.

This game can best be described as, at your own pace. This is probably the most chill game on this site when it comes to gameplay. You progress the story when you want to. If you want to kick back, save the story for later, focus on missions, getting paid, and available romance quests, it's at your pace. There's plenty of action, tons of humor, and even mystery in this game. It's a mob game and a very well done one at that. So well done that, to me, it even rivals movies.

There is no sexual content yet, a whole lot of teasing, but no sexual content, yet for reasons that I can't explain, I am not in a hurry for it. Maybe, because the story is that * good, the lack of sexual content is not a big issue for me. I don't know. What I do know is that this game is my favorite VN Ren'Py on this site.

Right off the bat, I just want to say I don't typically take the time to write reviews. However, after playing this and thinking about the quality of this game; I just had to let my first review on F95 to be for this game specifically.

In fact, it was so good; I played through it a second time just to do different choices.

First off, this game is top notch quality. I don't just mean graphically; the plot, the characters and the subject matter are well thought out.

The game starts off with you getting roped into a well known and respected Mafia family. From there you get to roam the house, interact with everyone in the family and build your relationships with them.

You have:

Gracie: The "Princess" of the family. She is smart, she's gorgeous, a little closed off from the world and quite frankly full of surprises.

Luna: The bad ass with a tragic backstory (that's all I'm going to say; play to find out what I mean). Now, this is the character that truly won me over! I admittedly didn't like Luna a ton to begin with. She did intrigue me though. I wanted to learn more about her. But, holy crap was I completely wrong in every way. She is my favorite character in this game. The character development of Luna is so captivating. Everything from her personality to her background to who she really is as a person. What she believes, the things she hides and the walls that are built up that you get to break down. I found myself by the end of the current build completely and utterly sold for Luna. I cannot wait to see how her story turns out. (There is a part that you can choose how to view something specific in her life. If you truly want to become immersed in Luna then I recommend you take the long version. Some may not like what happens...but that's the point. Without it though, I don't think you can truly appreciate her character. And that would be a shame cause she's truly amazing.).....Okay, so I have a crush on Luna.....Haha

Uncle: He's 2nd in command to Mother. And, well not much is known about him yet. However, it's very comical the interactions between him and the MC when you order stuff.

Antonio: The son and heir to the family. Next up to be the Don.

Isabel: The wife of Antonio and...well a bit of a flirt.. *wink*

Last and certainly not least:

Mother: She is also very captivating. While interactions with her are limited at the moment; the interactions with her are so good that you can't help but wonder what's going to happen next.

As for the MC he's not a flake. You can choose to embrace what's happening or buck the system. His initial set up to how you choose to play it is great. I look forward to seeing what other options you have as the MC...will you eventually get a chance to be a Don? Will you learn to be a bad ass alongside Luna and Gracie? Will you just become your own bad ass with your own style? I don't know but I sure as hell can't wait to find out!


I'm telling you, story driven is the way to be and this delivers. Yes, there is "some" sexual content. However, if you are looking for fap material you may not find it here. This developer is clearly going for something more intellectually pleasing. Giving you little glimpses and nuggets for your efforts. But, I have to say I'm thrilled that this isn't just some dopey moron; with terrible social skills trying to fuck everyone he sees. When the sex happens in this game; I know there will be substance behind it and heck there may be some consequences...haha

All in all I can say, you are in for a treat if you enjoy stimulating the mind and physical. This to me is an example of how VN should be.

Do yourself a favor, play this game. Don't go into it looking for complete sexual stimulation, but go into it and allow your imagination to take flight.

Go into this ready to be a part of the DeLuca Family and get ready for the ride.

So little has been introduced into this game, and yet it interests me. The quality is great, the women are hot, and the story line is... odd, yet still captures my interest. I especially like Isabel's attention, though I am completely against adultery, for some reason, I want to take her away from him. I think she, and the mom, are my top interests. I wish I were able to visit the mom and get closer to her, but she keeps herself well hidden it seems. This is part of my watch list, and I rate it a 4/5 GREAT... which really says a lot considering how little has been introduced at only version 5... Great job so far.

Amazing game so far. Dev put a lot of work into it. The characters are well thought out with decent backstory and mystery for each one. Story is top notch too. I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for more as I can't get enough of it. It's rare I show much interest in writing a review or even joining a game's discord etc.. I've done both for this beautiful game.

tl;dr: No quick and simple lewd adult game, main focus on story, character bonding and their progression


And now to the wall of text:

If you are looking for a simple adult game with lots of lewd scenes in quick succession, then you are at the wrong place. However if you are looking for a game with incredible story-telling and amazing characters and their individual progression throughout the so far ~5h long story, depending on how much you care about the dialogue and if you want do do all of the side-quests with the characters, then you are at the right place.
The game is even available in 4 different languages. And even though this isn't relevant to the game, check out the wallpapers to this game, which are linked at the bottom with the other downloads. They are nice themselves, but if you played the game and focused on the story of the individual characters, some will have a whole new meaning.

I downloaded this game with 0 expectations and honestly, because the girls on the banner look good (personal oppinion) and because of the good rating. Now I finished the game ind one session (might have stayed up a bit long) and now I dont even want the game to focus on lewd scenes. I just want to know how the story progresses. Of course said scenes will be a nice addition but no requirement for me to play the next updates what so ever.

If you are looking for instant gratification in the form of virtual girls who can’t restrain themselves from jumping onto the main character’s junk, The DeLuca Family might not be for you. As of now, the game is relatively tame in terms of lewdness.

However, what the game already has to offer is a setting which is quite unique among adult games, an innovative take on adding gameplay elements to a virtual novel, and most importantly, a story told with so much skill and effort that you don’t want to skip a single line of text, and this is coming from someone who gets bored rather quickly.

If you allow it to, this game will make you actually care for its characters - and at some point in the future, when these fine ladies will start dropping their clothes in front of you, it will be all the more rewarding.

Loved the story in the game, especially Luna's background. This and Being a Dik are my favourite games on this site.

Also I loved how well the sandbox part of the game is done. I usually hate sandbox games, they tend to be very unclear with what to do and the story becomes a mess. Here everything is very well detailed with the Journal and the Events section.

A Really good game, as from a Dating sim perspective, as from a Story game perspective and as from a "Adult game" perspective. The Characters are really interesting and have all an intresting background, even the MC. Many Plottwists that are suprising and good free roaming make this game one of my favorites of all time.

I really struggled to get into the story. There were parts of the story that were totally WTF with nonsense and hard to believe characters (the bald guy at the end of the detention). This game feels kinda "hysterical" going nuts for whatever reason.

Very interesting game. Only gripe i have is that there are little to no choices during the action portion of the game. Would also be nice if the equipment was shown in the actual game (such as the characters weapons and clothing) rather than just being stat modifiers. All in all I like the game but with it being so action oriented I would really like for there to be more choice as far as the fighting and missions are concerned. Before finishing the current build (005) I had already raised most of the stats to a really high point yet my character was still useless (for the most part) in the main missions so far, I feel the stats should reflect better in the storytelling.

Still, would definitely recommend this game due to the interesting plot. No sex currently so if you want to bate this isn't the title at the moment (though i usually play these games for the choices not the self gratification).

This is the most entrancing game I've played on this website ever. I put off playing it, because I thought it would be one of those games where nothing interesting happens for 3 hours, and people just liked the slow pace. And yes, it is slow, and even now, there isn't any substantial sex happening. But no, even the smallest touch between characters is overwhelming. Every light kiss on the cheek means butterflies. And every slightly sexy picture of any of the girls is enough to bring a boner back.
And I was just talking about the sex part of the game. And with all I can say about it, I can still easily say that this game is the perfect exemple of the expression "came for the sex, stayed for the plot". This is from another world.
