I recognized Kite and Mezzoforte scenes right away. Wouldn't be a bad idea to use AI to create new art in this style for the game.
You are wrong. This is the beginning of a What If? of Yellow Star. At the end of the Yellow Star episode the stepfather gets blown up on the rooftop. Everything in this after the rooftop is divergent from the source. And this used less still frames and really expanded the gangbang scene. Honestly, the original OVA only worked as a storyline. The animation was absolute crap and they literally just rapid flashed pictures with no dialogue for the most impactful sex scene. Honestly, Cool Devices could really use a remaster with proper animators and writers because looking back, its absolute garbage.
That was it, cool Devices. Knew I knew those images from somewhere. Meh, there were cooler plots to follow.
Edited - and now after I scroll down i see that was mentioned in the actual intro post... I will just go back to putting to my corner now.

I don't usually leave reviews because I've experienced some harsh reviews myself for my game, however this is a game I've so far played all the way through (version 1.1) as I am a big fan of the character Ayana.
My Review: 5 Stars
Overview
Classic cult episode of Cool Devices (Yellow Star) Reimagined in a VN, much props to the creator for bringing this classic back to life in their own way. While I agree that the artwork isn't up to par with the original, it still suffices and Ayana is by far one of my favorite hentai/anime characters of all time with her innocent schoolgirl (pigtail/uniform) vibe and her big teen tits being not out of the realm of realistic, but big enough to fulfil big tit fetishes.
My points of opinion:
1. Fantastic! The creator of the VN added a prologue that comes full circle at the end of version 1.1, leaving us with a cliffhanger that has us wanting to see this continued. This prologue was not part of the original.
2. The creator of the VN takes us through the original story, but makes some additions (as in the backseat of the car scene) and extras that you don't get in the original OVA, keeping it fresh and interesting.
3. The game shows multiple perspectives (so far only we only get one) which will add to the depth of the experience once the other perspectives are completed.
4. With only Chapter 1, the VN offers enough content to leave you satisfied with the promise of much more to come!
5. Although the sex scenes are extended and done, some things are left out of the original in the VN that I would have liked to see, while other things such as her pain are described, which makes it realistic, but I would have liked to see the aphrodisiac of the yellow star become more obvious, along with her acceptance of the feelings of pleasure where she actually begins to enjoy things rather than just despising the acts being done to her. Do this, while maintaining her reluctance, and you have a recipe for enjoyment, as rape isn't everyone's cup of tea, including myself. If she wasn't such a great character, then I'd probably pass on this game without her actually enjoying it. So to the creator, perhaps add in the aphrodisiac aspect and her enjoying it reluctantly and this will be much better.
6. While I prefer Renpy for VN's, the HTML is a classic approach and lends to the feel of this being a classic from the past. My main issues with the html version however is the UI overlaps in areas and doesn't allow us to minimize the main menu. You also cannot use the << button, perhaps it is disabled for now? Either way, I prefer Renpy over HTML, but it is still okay.
7. Nothing better than a continuation of a original masterpiece ended way too shortly. I agree that the original may have left us wanting more, especially in the sex scenes with the animations being poorly done (with two or three images being repeated), but if the creator of the VN can capitalize on improving the sex scenes and animations as well as continue on where the original left off...
Then we are all LUCKY to have this and all should support this creator in keeping this project alive. Please go subscribe!
I gave 5 stars instead of 4 because this is truly a project that deserves support and attention as you don't see anyone else continuing or adding to an already cult classic from the past like this. The main character Ayana truly deserves a continuation as she is by far one of my favorite all time characters.
I do, however, feel like the creator still has some improvements to make. There are a few misspellings and if they could improve some of the animations, then I feel like it would be just that much better.
