well it runs with Unity, so the font should just be a SDF texture included in the game. If all else fails, have you tried Valve's Proton? Simplest way to do so is to just add the game to your Steam library and run with Proton turned on in the preferences, but you can also try to install ProtonGE or similar and see if that fixes anything.

You can just make a "bottle", select Proton, Wine, or something else, and add every font and whatever else you need. It also has a command-line interface that you can use instead, so you don't have to start the GUI every time.
