because she is baby crazy. she cares more about the fact that she got pregnant than about the how.
This actually brings up one of the few dislikes I have about this game. That would be that the "Baby Crazed" state is far too easy to get.
In my most recent play through, every one of Samantha's sexual encounters up through the birth of her first child was a rape. She still ended up with the Baby Crazed status.
I lack the coding skills to open up the game file and actually understand what I'm looking at, so I don't fully get how this status is gained. I thought it would be from consensual encounters where she asks her partner to cum inside at the player's direction. But here again, even in consensual encounters, this choice is often gone and she asks her partner to cum inside without any player input.
Here are my thoughts on how I think it should work. I believe that only consensual encounters where the player chooses the cum inside option should count towards the Baby Crazed status. Even then, asking the partner to cum inside during the riskiest part of the character's cycle should count more than it would at relatively safe parts of the cycle. If the player is not given the choice to ask the sexual partner to cum outside, it should not count towards Baby Crazed. If the player chooses the remain silent option, it should not count towards Baby Crazed if the man cums inside. It should only count when the
player chooses the cum inside option.
I also think that maybe Sam_Tail should consider dropping this mechanic entirely and instead give the player some agency in determining whether the character is Baby Crazed. This could take the form of dialogue options or even just internal monologue options. When the man cums inside, we the players could be given a number of reaction options. As an example (1) Excited (2) Don't Care (3) Resigned Acceptance (4) Horrified (5) Angry. These responses could then determine whether or not Samantha becomes baby crazed or has some other attitude towards becoming pregnant.
Even with all that, I would love to see the player have a choice in how Samantha responds when she learns she's pregnant. Regardless of how the pregnancy came about, it would be great to be able to decide whether she is happy, sad, scared, resigned, angry, etcetera. As a player, I find that having the thoughts and attitudes of the character I'm playing dictated to me always takes away from my enjoyment of the game.
I understand that in the world of
The Fixer, there are going to be situations that are outside of the main character's control, but it would be nice to have a little more control over how the character responds to those situations. This is actually a complaint I have about a lot of porn games. I'm allowed to control the character's actions, but have little or no say in thoughts or attitude. I would love to see that change.
Now, having said all that, I will say that overall, I think that
The Fixer is one of the best games on this site. What's there is good and I have a lot of fun playing the game and will continue to play whether Sam_Tail follows my advice or not. I believe that with a bit of polishing and more options in how the character is played,
The Fixer could be even more fun than it is now.
