Definitely need more lesbian / yuri content in this game. Feels like the ladies would be quite traumatized by the male touch after dealing with the shit they go through in this world, so having a "softer" option would provide a sense of refuge. I'm sure there are integration points with strap-ons, the beach, the roommates, the sewing club, the bar... the list goes on. Would definitely be worth some repeat play.
More lesbian is planned. But it is planned to be a bit different from other general content. It will only be with named characters and involve more of a story/romance and less "lets get naked and sex". So the artwork will need to be drawn for those specific characters and not reuse generic art.

Bambi was a perk added because people wanted to start the game in a similar way as the broken perk. Having her recover ends the ability to do so. Former man perk is a bit of an outlier because it very much focuses on who Sammy was and not who she is, so with that one I want it to eventually go away so Sammy can become who she currently is. Living 5 years in the game and still complaining about how you used to be a man doesn't feel right with the story, but still being a bambi makes sense.
Well I don't think we really need perk shuffling so much as a progression of perks.
I wanted to try out playing a really meek and timid character who warmed up to her sexuality. Problem is that her character doesnt really adjust? I figured after a while, like when Sammy starts opening up to being more promiscuous, she would shed the bambi trait with all its desire and confidence de-buffs.
Maybe when you get to working on the park shuffling, Bambi depending on what route she goes on can morph into like a "fallen angel/pure maiden" trait path?

You also get boost from other perks as you continue to play. Whore trait for example boosts confidence. So it is entirely possible to play that way as you progress. Bambi caps your max confidence at 40, but other perks can increase it.
If you are talking about an actual storyline or something where you can evolve or level up the bambi perk, that will probably never happen as that will be a story very few players will be able to get unless they picked the Bambi perk. Time is better worked on other things.
Sam_Tail is going for a kind of organic progression with the perks. But it's a very difficult balancing act to walk. Real life makes for a very bad video game. Certain concessions have to be made.
You have control over your Sammy's actions, but not how she thinks or feels. A girl who doesn't want to whore will not whore. But it doesn't really matter in Sammy's case because the player is going to find a way to make it happen, if they want it to happen. That is not very "organic; " it is very much "game."
In contrast, when I think of a person who is weak-willed, they're easily influenced. This is well represented by the bullies, who take advantage of Sammy if she has poor will. We do get the opposite for whoring, but making compromises doesn't require confidence, as even in-game dialogue indicates, it occurs when a need must be fulfilled, and conventional methods are not working. This can happen if Sammy is poor, which makes sense. This is more organic.
But I would point out, in the game's current state, perks are not always consistent in their acquisition. You can whore your Sammy 20 times, but unless you offer pussy instead of blowjobs, you aren't going to get the whore perk. Meanwhile, it takes only about three of creampies to get the baby crazy perk.
Is a difficult balance, but at the same time it is also a game. Drink too much booze over a short time, gain alcoholic perk. It's not really meant to emulate real life though, it's meant to represent actions you have taken and respond to them, realistic or not.
Also all sex acts where you make money counts towards the whore perk. Some just count less than others.
As for shuffling perks, idk about the literal shuffling of perks where what you get is based on RNG. I don't like that idea. But I do think it's a great idea to be able to toggle perks on/off so the player can cater their game experience to their tastes.
To that end, perks coming or going (either all on their own or by toggle) does not make sense. Experiences are forever, but a person can learn how to mange them. A person does not become cured of alcoholism, they become a recovering alcoholic, and they will be a recovering alcoholic for the rest of their life. So maybe perks shouldn't be fully toggled on/off so much as they have diminished and prominent statuses? It's just an idea, albeit a complicated idea, so the game-ified on/off would be fine. But a couple of examples to express how it would work:
- if you're toggling Sammy's alcoholic perk, you're instead choosing between Alcoholic and Recovering Alcoholic.
- if your Sammy has a smoking addiction, you toggle between Smoker and Cold Turkey.
- and if your Sammy likes creampies, you're choosing between Creampie Lover and Playing it Safe, where Sammy tries to avoid creampies so as to not get pregnant but takes a happiness penalty.
Maybe shuffling was the wrong work. I didn't mean to press a button and get a whole set of random perks. But to be able to add and remove certain perks at the cost of money. Go to the psychologist, pay her a fortune, leave without the alcoholic perk.
I think traits (and yes they are traits IMHO definition of trait "a particular characteristic that can produce a particular type of behaviour", not perks one definition of perk "advantage or something extra") should be conditional and once that condition is no longer met you lose it. and we already have that to a degree like Virgin for example. I think it could make sense to extend this to other traits.
For example, if you make sure to always go to school and keep your intelligence over a certain point for at least X number of days you gain the nerd (or a variant of it) trait which now makes it so your intelligence no longer just drops over time but you still need to make sure to always go to school if you miss school too often you lose nerd and you intelligence starts dropping again.
The same thing could be done with Gym Bunny.
Traits may be the more accurate word for it. Very long ago in this thread though, people were calling them perks so that's what I called them. Mostly though they are additional parts to her character/personality. Some do come with negatives or are entirely negative.
Gaining traits like you mention though is somewhat planned for when I get time to do it. Current perk stuff though still needs to be worked out to an acceptable level before I do too much more on it.
