This game makes no fucking sense.
I was doing Rachel's dares, and at a certain point the protagonist said something about some boys outside the school building that she could have known only if she had previously met them... but I've never seen them, so the protagonist shouldn't even know about them, plus after that I went to search for them and couldn't find anyone.
After some time Terry Mason told the protagonist that he is sure some people are hanging around inside the school at night, and wants the protagonist to investigate because he had heard she's some sort of detective... but from who did he hear that? Because not once did I go to the institute, so I did not even agree to be a "fixer" yet.
I finally met those boys while doing one of Rachel's dares, but then I could no longer interact with them. Okay. Sure. Whatever.
Then Cassidy approached the protagonist on a Friday at lunch break saying that Mira went missing. The "on a Friday at lunch" part is important. For the first part of the quest, I'm supposed to ask around... except there's only the standard talk button. Ok, so let's talk around, I suppose. The Sweet Girls in the afternoon after classes? I can only dance with them. The Needle Girls? Placeholder everything. Felix who is not even in the list of NPCs? Same as the Needle Girls. Danielle sitting outside in the residential area? The protagonist doesn't ask about Mira. Robin inside the house? Same as Danielle. And I did not talk with them just once, but multiple times. Not that I should have: the protagonist should have asked automatically the first time around anyway. Saturday and Sunday I visited some other NPCs like Oskar, Jaylee, Ashon, Sandy, Trixie... but it isn't possible to ask them anything. Guess what happened a few days later "on a school day in the morning"? You fucking guessed it: I interacted with Robin and the protagonist just so happened to ask about Mira! Go fuck yourself.
You think it ended there? No fucking way. Because I finally managed to make the boys that play soccer on the school sports field appear. Yep, you read that right: when you go the field there's no fucking one there, so you have to perform a summoning ritual which involves you running like an idiot (because, let's be clear, you can increase your fitness by dancing in the school gym or running at the park, no need to run on the track field). Either that or they were just invisible and decided to make their presence known after you run a few times. Remember kids: don't approach anyone during track and field unless you are sure they have run. So, where was I... ah yes, the boys and the find Mira quest line. I finally managed to ask them about Mira. Then Dan, one of the aforementioned boys, approached me one morning in school and said something about he being friend with Mira and knowing where she worked. I can understand you not wanting to tell the protagonist that with the rest of the boys present, but at least bring her somewhere private and tell her right there and then. No need to make me waste time like that.
After that the objective updated and I talked with Cassidy. Then talked with Cassidy again. Then talked with Cassidy yet again and went to the highway. Now, I bet you can guess what the next thing that irritated me is, but I'll say it anyway: after going around asking random whores about Mira (oh look! The protagonist can ask others about Mira out of her own volition and without them having to be in a specific location else the protagonist would just chat about the weather) and not learning anything, the protagonist dares to say something like "oh I know who I can ask next". Well you bitch, I don't. Mind telling me directly who you are talking about? The quest got updated and now says: "try to find out anything about Mira from people I know". Sure, let's go talk with people I know who I haven't tried to ask about Mira yet. According to the NPC list, these are: Emile, who is gone; Dr. Ratan, Dr. James, Sede, Svetlana and Anabel, who I have yet to talk with about Mira and that I should find easily (Svetlana and Anabel I can easily talk with, I simply have to approach them just after lesson or something and ask them if they can hang with me for a few minutes - What did you say? I "can't do that"? Well, re-read the first sentence of this post); Terry, Shane, Marcus, who I can't proactively talk with because they pop into existence only when they want to interact with the protagonist. And that's it.
...
Well, now I want the protagonist to be an NPC: they usually don't exist (or are invisible, whatever), but on the rare occasions they pop into existence at least they interact with the protagonist and tell her whatever it is they want to tell her

Contrast that with the protagonist: she usually exists, but can't interact with others
Finally, one last thing. I have a task from Felix called "Starting the magazine", in which I'm supposed to give him four porn magazines (that can be bought from the motel reception lady). I talked with Felix, placeholder text. Then I asked him about work, Felix reiterated that he wants some magazines, which I have, and the protagonist said "Okay". Because that's what happens IRL, too, right? You ask a friend to bring you something, you two meet, chat a bit, you ask him to give you the things you had asked him to bring and that he brought, he says "Okay", then he returns home. With the things he was meant to give you. And that's fair. I mean, he was not supposed to "chat with you". He was supposed to "give gift"
P.s.: Actually, you asked your friend to bring with him and give you four magazines. Do you expect him to give those four magazines to you? No, that would be silly.
First, you ask him to give you the magazines, and he gives you one.
Then you ask for the magazines again, and he gives you another one.
Then you ask again, and he gives you yet another one.
And then you ask one more time, and he finally gives you the last one.
Or rather, it's clear that the protagonist really wants to keep those porn magazine to herself, and is hoping that Felix will catch on, grow tired of this charade partway through, and let the protagonist keep the remaining magazines for herself.
P.p.s.: I completed all Rachel's dares currently in game, but I did not get the exhibitionist trait.
