In his effort to make him look naïf or awkward, the dev is portraying the soldier look like a mentally challenged man. Not only he didn't knew people kiss in the mouth, but also he's unable to recognize the sound of the shower in the bathroom. I guess that in his time as a soldier they bathed with buckets.
Not that the rest of the characters are the brightest bulb in the box either. The milf was unable to recognize him at the vip, even if she has already seen him shirtless and wearing the same mask before. Only the black security guard was able to do it after a meticulous analysis.
And then Greg, whom was severely beaten by the gangster's son, plans to get revenge with the Milf's husband because he must have plenty of money. Totally logical.
Finally the daughter's blonde friend, whom hasn't better idea than to call her friend to return to the place where she was kidnapped. Perfect sense.

Did you reject him before? For example, didn't defend him when beaten by his father. It seems that you're not in his path if you didn't see any scene.

It's hinted in the last update and you can add points with him. So maybe he will have a "route".
There is an ugly bastard, but he barely interacted with her. This could change later though, seeing that he owns a place that has been recurring in the game.

Weird. Are you sure you stood by him every time? Maybe it's something related to the number of points needed or some key decision that you didn't take in his favor.
Even if I don't think it will impact this way, are you using a mod?
For the daughter's "boyfriend" the interactions with him only unlock if MC goes complete doormat mode towards him from the start. You don't get enough relationship points to unlock follow-up interactions otherwise.
