I'm with you, but in the context of this game, it kind of makes sense. Like, our headmaster here has his whole "method" that he follows through with an OCD level of detail. It also fits into the whole dom/sub powerdynamic thing that he's got going for himself. To me, it's the funniest part about this game when you initially come to that school and start doing your BDSM routine and people are like "Oh, yeah, that makes sense!"

Not sure what you mean. Most of the progression starts at revealing underwear and moves on to spanking. Oral sex is generally the natural progression from vanilla sex, and at the moment is more in the middle than the beginning. Though one girl prefers anal.
On another note I'm really getting sick of having to start over in games (every save is borked). I have lost count of how many times I've had to start a game over this late in progression now.
If I could make a suggestion: offer a full save with each update in case that does happen?
May I offer a suggestion? Forget about the game until it's "finished" - when the dev decided to either abandon it or completed all planned features/storylines.
Or... Hibernate yourself for [insert number] years.
Either way you will get a fresh and complete experience on your first try!

Yeah tried that. The issue is it completely kills the desire to continue. You progress so far for so long and then you decide to pick it back up you remember and go, yeah I dont want to waste time doing all that over again.
Most normal games there's a reason for replay, but porn games not so much. Which is why a save from the last point when a dev breaks the save would be great in combo with the ability to rename the character.
"Sorry I had to break everything and your saves dont work but dont worry heres a full save. all you have to do is change the name and start enjoying the new content."
Sounds better, no?

For an allmost KN type of game, yes. Otherwise, it would be more like:
"Sorry I had to break everything and your saves don't work. Just answer this 37 question and you're ready to go."

For many games, there are so many variables, options, statuses, etc., that it would be impossible to do that without just giving a generic save that may not have everything you want in it, or giving 20 saves to accomodate all the available pathways... it would just become a logistical nightmare. This game may not be quite in that bracket, but there are still scores to consider and some choices that will determine some of what you continue seeing later in the game, etc.
Also, this is just a generalisation, anyway, right? All the message here said was that due to a Ren'Py change/issue, auto saves won't work, but manual/quick saves still will. So not the dev breaking the save at all, and also no problem to actually be worried about here, unless you only use auto saves (which is surely not something people actually do, is it?).

I wonder what is planned for Olivia, Jasmine or Arabella. Those really caught my Interest when they were introduced. Some small tidbit with Charlotte would be nice again, too.
Especially as Olivia, Arabella and Jasmine really got into the school on short notice and/or unusual ways. I can't wait for the HM to handle those three in the way only he can.

Have you had the patrol events with Charlotte? There are two where she is smoking, and you might need to get both of them - I think it's the second one that shows Harriet selling smokes to Charlotte.

Plus, it is a beta. Never judge an update by its beta. (And never delete/overwrite your old save when you got a save from a beta version because that may be borked.) If you have FOSO (Fear of starting over), avoid anything beta or similar completely.

There are surely only two reasons to be playing the beta anyway - testing for the developers, and impatience. The latter isn't a good reason.

Don't doubt people in general. If you can do something it will be done if your sample size is big enough. Therefore, I'm pretty sure, some people only use autosave.
