I don't know of course, what Altos has finally in his mind, but I don't think, he'll keep the game going til we have Crying Girl on Lvl 10 .

What about that unnamed skinny girl who climbs over the wall?

Put her to level 10 too!

I'm in no hurry to see this game end.

Something to consider is that there's a natural bottleneck at the end of Act 2, which is currently bogging development down because all the threads have to come together so all the individual storylines can transition into Act 3.

I'm expecting to see a surge of development once they finally get into Act 3 and can push ahead with whatever they feel like rather than having to fill in the gaps and tune the progression and pacing late in the development of a mostly self-contained chunk of the game.

There are good reasons to break the game into acts and force the various story threads to hit specific milestones before the next act can begin - it prunes the branches, so there are fewer combinations to take into account when one thread references another, and you can have sweeping changes in the background crowds between acts.

I wonder..does anyone have a 100% savefile? Can't complete the "Many Hands for Many Bottoms" quest since the the twins event doesn't trigger which means I can't advance the "Training Miss Potts Part 2" quest.
Or do I have to start a completly new game anyway when the next update comes out?

It probably doesn't help when some people here see the incremental version numbers and assume that they are full updates when they are usually only bugfixes. Like the difference between v0.15 to 0.16 was a full update whereas 0.16 to 0.16.1 was primarily bugfixes but people just see the number shift and go 'yeah new update'. I could be completely off base though.

It's the standard approach for naming versions, but that doesn't mean everybody understands it. Not sure if it's different for story writing, but in software development there is a concept called feature freeze where it's decided that everything, which should be included is already included. From that point only existing features are improved and bugs are fixed. This state continues after release, hence why the last digit goes up even through no content is added.

Usually the code is split into two branches when doing a feature freeze. This way features, which might take months to finish can still be developed while other people finishes the release. Same goes for post release when there are bugfix releases. This is about management of development and avoiding release testing blocks progress towards the future release. In short when the last digit increases, it's a new release based on the same state of a feature freeze, hence if the management concept is followed correctly, no new content should be added.

Of cause if people don't know this, they can still expect new content, but it's really on them when it's against the general concept used by most release version systems and no new features were promised.

There is already a lot of content in it, but there is also a lot of content to add to the game. So, while it's definitely worth playing, development will surely still go on for years.

We're still in Act 2, though Altos is finishing up the last few events for that. Presumably that'll be 2 or 3 updates from now (though given speed of updates that might be like end of 2026). After that is Act 3 which I don't think Altos has talked about much.

Four years of content has been accumulated for you for sure, but don't expect any "wow". The developer seems to be planning to pass the game development to his grandchildren, and they will pass it on to their grandchildren, and maybe then there will be a potential finale.

I don't know about your specific example, but I do know that there are a number of side interactions that are exclusive to chapter 1, and if you miss them there, you miss out entirely.

Ah that probably explains it then. Faye's situation doesn't really change much through out the story so I didn't think her interaction would be locked out as the story progressed.

As an aside if you do the interaction with the plug before the incident where Amy injures Faye whilst running in the corridor the following interaction between the MC, Faye and the Nurse is slightly different.
