oh man this game is too much. I just finished the demonstration scene right before chapter 2 starts and it was bonkers in the best imaginable way.

There's nothing added to the change log differentiating it from the last time...
Exactly. If you played the beta, then you saw everything. As has been said dozens of times now, it was just bug fixes. That is how it works, the beta comes out, the bugs get fixed, then it gets officially released.

I was unsure about this game for awhile, spanking and causing pain to women isn't really my thing. Then we got to the scene in the classroom where you demonstrate your methods to the other 2 headmasters, in front of the class, and a video camera. I laughed soooo hard! This is definitely going in my top 10. ROFL

The finger snap when you are recording the class has no business making me laugh that hard. Having it on queue with the music returning was too much. That or I'm overly tired, either way, 10/10

It can't be that complex, can it?

0.9 - more specifically 0.9.2 - is the old version.
0.10 in general is the new version with the new content. There are multiple versions starting with 0.10.
Changes/additions from 0.9 to 0.10 are in the changelog.
There is NO new content from one 0.10 to the next, just bugfixes.

So if you played 0.10beta, there will be nothing new for you in 0.10.1.
If you didn't play 0.10beta but 0.9.2 then the changes for 0.10beta will be the one you'll be experiencing in 0.10.1.

I for some reason cannot trigger an event where I need to visit classroom hallway on Tuesday afternoon and event where Lucy runs into me in the bathroom . I had the events where she stuck under the bed and so on. And I was sure I got this when played in earlier version.

It seems due to porting save from the older version I almost broke something or whatever as some of the events I had to unlock again and some of the events of later stage are unlocked before those that are earlier.

I am an educator by trade, so I am going to write this post as an educator and not condemn those that don't know how the absolute first 3 minutes about software development.

Software versioning (Numbering) has two major parts, the major version, and the minor revision.
  • Major versions of software contain new logic, whole new amounts of content, major rewrites, etc.
  • Minor versions of software contain minor fixes to logic, spelling, security updates, etc. to the major version.
  • Most software use a versioning methodology of Major.Minor (10.0, 10.1, etc.) for indicating their release.

Software is deployed in typically 3 stages. Alpha, Beta, and final release
  • An Alpha release is an initial release of major release. Typically these releases are 90% complete, have most of the content, and have a majority of the major structure there for the release. This release is given to people to test, find errors in logic, etc.
  • A Beta release is a completed release, that should have all the functions, content, etc. in the release, and is given to the broader community to have. This should be "close" to the finished software release, but may still have minor bugs, spelling errors, etc.
  • A Final release is just that, a final release of that major version. It takes the Beta release, and fixes all known bugs, spelling errors, etc. The final release is the last release of that major code revision and the devs typically have already started work on the major release by this point. Final releases are typically a "thank you" to all the people who have purchased the software (Patreons) as it fixes all the known issues, even though there is no new content.
Now lets put this all together for this (and other Devs).
  • Version 10 initial (or alpha) was the first release of the application, I believe was leaked here, and had a majority of the content, and some other parts were missing.
  • Version 10.0 beta was the release that had all the content updates, was mostly polished (I had no errors), and had a broader release.
  • Version 10.1 (final release), notice the x.1 is a minor release, which contains most of the known software fixes and bugs.
  • If the dev releases 10.2 - it will exclusively be no content, and just bug fixes as they are now working on the next major release (11).
This does not work exclusively for this Dev:
  • Microsoft Windows releases. Windows 10.2004 (April (04 month), 2020 release date), Windows 10.2010 (October (10 month), 2020 release date), Windows 10.2104 (April (04 month), 2021).
  • macOS releases. macOS 11.00 (base release), macOS 11.1 (update to main OS 11 update).
Almost every dev on this site follows this software release naming. If they don't people get a little perturbed as they don't know exactly how to read the software versioning. There have been some devs that have changed their naming due to the backlash from people who don't know how to tell the release date.

The only major exception to this dev numbering scheme, is a date release. A dev might do a release which includes a date.
  • XXXXX.20210420 Might be a release of XXXX game that was released on 2021, April 20 (if using ISO standard month/date timing). Since this does not follow the major/minor release methodology, users have a right to ask for a full changelog for that release.
Now that I have educated you on how to tell software versioning, I am going to rant a little. Enjoy your weekend.

<RANT>
If you are going to play games, that by there very definition, are not finished, work-in-progress, continually developed, etc. You should learn to read the previous posts, you should learn to understand the very basics of software development, and understand what you are asking. This is why people get frustrated and don't respond to every damn query as it was asked (and answered) five posts before yours. The point of a forum (any forum, not just F95) is to ask a question, and be available for search for responses of EXISTING QUERIES. Please learn the basics of software development and how to use a forum before you post the same damn question a dozen times.

Changelogs, Version Numbers and more...
Apologies for the long post, but I hope this helps some of you...

Difference Between 0.10 Beta and 0.10.1

The only difference between the two versions are some bug fixes and better compression (so a smaller file size). See full changelog for version 0.10.1 below. Please note that last para includes the differences between 0.10 beta and 0.10.1

Version Numbering

For everyone wondering about the version numbering:

The first number is a zero, to show the game isn't complete yet. This is followed by a big number and a small number. The "big" number shows a new update, with new content: 0.8.x, 0.9.x, 0.10.x and so on. The "small" number shows an improved version of the same update (so e.g. bugfixes, or a little extra content): 0.x.1, 0.x.2 etc.

Within each update, there, there are 3 releases: a beta release, a main patreon release, and the public release.
  • The beta release (which, like all betas, usually has bugs in it) is for $10+ patreons.
  • The main patreon release is for $5 patreons. This is bugfixed version of the beta, but often has a little extra content. It is released a week after the beta.
  • The public release will have the same number as the main release, but with the word "Public" afterwards. This is to show that there is no new content. However, there may be bugfixes or UI improvements. It is released a month after the main patreon release.
So usually the release cycle numbering will be 0.x.1 Beta, 0.x.2, 0.x.2Public.

However, sometimes (like with version 0.10), the beta was called 0.10 beta and not 0.10.1 beta. In addition, if there are significant bugs, Altos may release 2 version of a release. So the full release cycle might go 0.x.1 Beta, 0.x.2 Beta, 0.x.3, 0.x.3Public. Or 0.x Beta, 0.x.1, 0.x.2, 0.x.2Public. But in general, it's more important to look at whether the release is beta/main/public rather than the actual version number.

Game Queries

Also, a couple of events I am expecting to see, but not able to trigger.
Yes, you can see Liz and Faye sunbathing nude. You need to have started Chapter 2, and have popularity 20+ and horniness 6+. You then need to do this event twice - you will see them nude the second time. See the walkthrough, section WEP04, for more details.

You cannot see the twins punishing Miss Potts or talk to Priti after drama class in the current version.

Is it not possible to buy aloe vera again? I used it once on Rachel... Now the option to apply aloe vera is missing
You should only need to buy the aloe vera once. The aloe vera is unlocked by spying on Rachel's room after you've punished her, and seeing Donna rubbing cream on Rachel's bottom, and Maxine taking a photo for evidence.

I would suggested checking your office computer to see if you have bought it yet (or if you can buy it). If it's not available, try spying on Rachel's room in the evening after a punishment (even if you weren't able to raise her) and see if you can get the scene with Rachel, Donna and Maxine.

Can somebody tell me how I am supposed to get the weekend patrol Event with the waterfight?
You need to have completed the "Miss Chang's formula" event (which involves buying the lab equipment and then watching the science class where the girls run out of the room naked), stealing Priti's social media password and giving it to Mr Wilson. You do not need to complete Priti's photoshoot. You also probably need to see the "Nina meets Faye" event, but that happens automatically. You also need popularity 18+. See the walkthrough, section WEP04, for more details.

Is this the main game or the holiday special?? I didn't see this, and I REALLY REALLY WANT THIS!!!
This is in the main game. It's actually the dream you have at the end of day one, the tutorial day. When you start a new game, choose "play intro", not "skip to day two". This scene happens as part of that introduction/tutorial.

Alternatively, you can use the replay menu to replay the scene. See "The dream" in the "Introduction" section of the event log.

And a thank you...

I just looked at it and the description in Event SPT15 makes no sense... should not April's Team lose to have to play bottomless?
Yes, you're absolutely right. Thanks for pointing this out - I'll sort the next version of the walkthrough. :D
