Are you on Chapter 2 now when the Headmaster is allowed to spank the girls himself?
Yeah. I am at chapter 2. I am not sure what caused the infinite loop. It might have been from when I first started the punishment and realized that I was doing the punishment with Sally, that I clicked on myself and did the rest of the punishments as myself. At the end of the punishment as mentioned when I want to send Rachel away, it gives me an infinite loop scene of me spanking the girl in her white underwear, while Sally is standing besides me watching.

The Traceback log also mentions infinite loop. But I have no idea how I can manually correct it, if at all possible.

I know I can fast track to chapter 2, and I tried that, since its not that long after (if I remember correctly), but fast tracking to act 2, shows me quests that I honestly did not do at all in act 1 (like getting viagra for Wilson, and all of a sudden having bunny ears or something as an inventory item and other stuff.). I never followed any walk-through so am not sure if there are things you can even complete from chapter one if you transitioned to chapter 2.

Yeah! The infinite loop happened everytime you punished Rachel as the HM, happened to me as well. For now, I guess the only thing to avoid the loop is you can only have Sally punish her (until you level her punishment a few times, it shouldn't cause any further problem when you continue to punish her as HM again)

Then I am unfortunately "fucked". I dont have any previous saves and even though I restart the punishment and only do it with Sally from the very first punishment. I still get the infinite loop :(

You usually can use an Automatic Save, though probably by now you will have too many within the loop. Still needn't hurt to look.

But yeah, having a couple of saves is always good in games, especially those in development. At least try to keep a save from the last stable version.

Duly noted :) I will just have to fast forward to chapter 2 and live with the fact that some quests have been finished automatically and some items gained. Don't have the patience to start all over :(

Ren'Py now warns you by default when you load a save from an other source than your computer. It will still run it once you accept the warning. They can't fully block it for developmental reasons and bug hunting. But sharing saves while convenient, comes with risks. Saves are programs themselves, there was a Vimeo video that I saved to share that explains it great, but the video seams to be down right now. short story, executing a foreign save can mess up your computer like a virus. It might not currently be a problem, but think about it like STI. You need protection before it happens.

there is a anti cheat in the game cant share saves
If you used a saveeditor, tell the dev he needs to update his code for saves created with renpy 8.1x or higher. (I know and both don't work with saves created with renpy 8.1x for an instance)

After you download a save, go to the folder with your saves, right click on the file you saved and click properties. At the bottom is a section labeled "Security:". Check the box "Unblock". Click "Apply". Section that was marked "Security:" disappears and the file will now load.

Well this might work for some things (for me it definitely doesn't with saves created with renpy 8.1x), but the saveeditor devs need to correctly implement the security tokens for the saves or it will break for any newly created game in the future... ^^

the dev added a anti cheat file and it goes someplace else when installing the game

Ha! ok. I never personally use saves frome other people and never alter them either. So I never felt concerned by that particular discution. I want to experience games how the devs made it. Skipping over stuff or making things easier never felt right to me.

I find it curious that this supposed 'anti-cheat' file and 'save transfer problem' have become such issues here over the course of this past weekend given that the last update to this title was 5 days shy of three months ago. That seem's like quite a delay for such critical game-breaking issues to become public knowledge here... I know, I know, I am such a cynic.

If this game placed random files into an unidentified someplace else, "cheats on the game do not work anymore" should be the last of your worries ...

Let me intervene here: there's no anticheat (or whatever) in the game files.
Why would Altos do it in the first place? While there is a cheat menu in-game?
If people wants to mess with the game files and potentially break it when doing it, well, good for them, it doesn't matter to us.

When we updated the version of RenPy, there were some issues with save corruption and bugs (most of them during the beta). This could be linked to this.
