There is some romance in this game. I forget all the names, but the girl that cleans your house on Saturdays has a bit of a romantic relationship with the Headmaster.
Priya said she wants to be the Headmaster's girl after graduation. That relationship has some romance.
But, I do agree with the sentiment you guys are expressing though

How do you forget about Lucy? One of THE most hilarious scenes I have ever run across in any porn game, was in the girls locker room when Lucy is is flashing the MC behind (IIRC Maxine's) the other girls back.
Loved the embarrassed look on Miss Potts' face in the second last image. Hope she finds herself back in a school uniform some time.

There are some great ideas in this game. I also like that there are no identical girls except the twins. I've seen too many games where devs ran out of ideas and added new (already existing) girls with just recolored hair. Big thumbs up!

Is there any sort of timer? Any loss conditions other than zero grades or discipline? Any permanently missable events?
If I decide to teach class, do I have the same list of potential events regardless of weekday and daytime, or are there any events that require specific day or time? Same about other activities like patrolling and paperwork and snooping.

Right now, no. AFAIK the plan is that there will eventually be one.
IIRC, no and no, unless you count a branching path as "missable events". But certainly nothing you miss because of taking too much time (at least, until the timer is implemented).
There are some ways to spend your time that are only available on a certain day, such as watching a sexy reality tv show with some of the students in the dorm, or playing D&D with some other girls at the dorm, or watching a movie with practically all the girls at the dorm.
Also, different girls are at different places on different days and times, and progressing the story sometimes requires talking to a certain someone on the right day in the right place, but there should mostly be minor events that don't progress the time, aside from the examples given above.
But, AFAIK, after you start an activity (like teaching a class), the list of potential events is the same regardless of day or time.
There are no time limits.
There are no missable scenes, but the game has some branching paths, were you can get to the solution in two different ways. But you can always use the build in cheat functionality to reset these paths.
Class room teaching, paperwork and snooping does not depend on the day.
Weekend or Weekday make a difference for almost everything (patrol, events, ...).
The gymnasium has a schedule.
Some events are only available on specific weekdays, but the majority of quests can be progressed on any day.

it has been a wile since I played, but if the "timer" they refer to is the "achieve x grade by day y" thing that has yet to be implemented, that's more of a lose condition than a content gate.
I don't think any content (as of right now) has an inherent timer attached and can be pursued at your pace, albeit some (e.g. helping a teacher regain and retain control of her class) are more "urgent" in the sense that they correlate more to the lose condition (undisciplined class --> poor grades).
