I confirm the same. I started the game from scratch, the latest version. I had normally encountered the first fundraising event, but since that, Maxine just disappeared despite I spent like two weeks entirely on patrols.
"mr_donation=120" worked though.
In general, this version is very crashy. Especially when I try to visit the nurse.

We completely overhauled large sections of the code, so a lot of bugs were expected. They'll all be fixed for the next version.

Yet, you're not the first one to report it.

For now, you can try this solution proposed a few days ago:

The game doesn't like AMD's newest drivers (that's what this atio6axx.dll is about). On my laptop with Nvidia card there is no crash but I've found a workaround - you can play on Linux (I'm using Lubuntu) and having the game on a portable memory. You don't even need to install Linux, you can boot it up from a usb stick (or a CD even if you have an optical drive) and then run the game by clicking on headmaster.sh (so not on headmaster.exe, that would require Wine or something similar). You could also use a much older driver but that's suboptimal.


Or you can wait the public release, when the game won't be in beta anymore.

thanks for the more precise answer Gegecucu, effectively i have amd drivers, but i have a old card AMD RADEON 7570

from 03/08/2015. AMD newest drivers i do not think so (they are microsoft signed windows 10 from 2015).

So the guy who told that it is the fault of newest drivers from amd, is not in the truth. Maybe this game just do not like amd video cards at all even they are old or new.... it really sucks

Why is Rachel missing from the sequel scene where everyone wears one of the challenge clothes while Ada and Maxine are in punishment clothes? She was also part of the friend group that participated in all days. She could have worn the see through clothes while Liz goes nude, or the other way around.

This game is a great example of how patreon system of supporting devs basically prevents any game from being finished. The slower you work the more money you get. It's understandable though, I don't blame the dev, I blame the system, I would take advantage myself too.

I can't say I remember the content amount per update early on. It's been too long. That said, I feel .14 had little content in some terms but I found the update to be a fun playthrough. And it took me roughly 2 hours or so to complete, so I'm not unhappy, personally.

EDIT: I do agree that the patreon system is very much open to that kind of ill will. But I don't think this Dev is even close to the best example of that.

This leaked beta version, clearly labelled for bug testing purposes, has bugs?! Oh my goodness, I'd best go kill myself in shame. Also, do you really think a 50k-word screenplay and a thousand renders aren't enough for six months of work?

That's the rule of the internet. You can make a pill, which instantly cures cancer and somebody will complain that it tastes incorrectly or the pill has the wrong color. While feedback shouldn't be ignored, assuming all feedback to be something to obey isn't the way to go. I mean let's say somebody requests demands all renders to be recreated in program/game X because that will make everything so much better. Even if that is true (which it might not be), it completely ignores the workload and as such is completely useless feedback. At least you haven't been told you are a bad person unless you make changes to comply with some completely unrelated real life political views. Yeah I tried that one. Apparently I was being politically biased (aka an evil and mean person) by being declared apolitical.

With regard to what was in the update; I have zero intention of defending content choices here.

Honestly why should you? As artist/writer/content creator/developer (or whatever you want to call it), it's your artistic freedom to make decisions like that. All you have to say is "that's what I wanted to work on this time" and that in itself is a valid reason for your choices. Besides arguing is pointless as it won't change what is in this release anyway.

For people getting upset with.. well not the content added, but the unfinished storylines still being unfinished, all I will say is that this isn't the final version. I don't know why, but it seems there will always be somebody, who fail to catch that the newest release of a long line of releases will not be the last. Releases don't have to be perfect and cover everything when more releases are planned.

This Sunday morning armchair quarterbacking really irritates me. Not just here but for other titles on this site too. The way I see it is this, 'if the pace of progress is not to your liking and you think you can do better then put up, shut up and prove it by doing your own project'. I do not subscribe to this title on Patreon due to financial constraints at the moment though I would consider doing so in the future should my circumstances change. I have not downloaded the current beta as I would prefer to wait till the public release and I am not experienced in any way with game developement but looking at the changelog for this update there seems to have been a large number of behind the scenes code changes that I guess would have taken quite a lot of work to get right without completely breaking the game and that would not have necessarily the same impact as brand new story content. I know there are some bugs but that is unsurprising given the, I assume, small size of the development team and the limited amount of playtesting they could do in the time available. I mean look at the buggy mess Bethesda Games tend to release in and they have vast, almost unlimited, resources in comparison to this developer I guess. Hell, over 10 years since release and multiple ports later Skyrim still has some bugs that were there from launch.

Now I know some people here will immediately get angry and start shouting me down and feel welcome. This has just been bubbling in the back of my head for a while after being present on a number of these forums and just needed to get it off my chest. If anyone is overly offended then I apologise, though I implore you to see beyond the words used to the underlying hope that people can just be polite on here without any anger or sense of entitlement to what is ultimately a leaked incomplete product'

While you do have a point in endless projects, you also have flawed logic. You assume equal amount of work with each release. The thing is, each release has bugfixes in past content and with each release, past content increases. On top of that, newer renders are of higher quality and a bunch of old renders have been replaced to match the newer renders in quality. For instance Lucy dancing will no longer show her pigtail clipping through her torso. Also videos are added where still frames were used before. All this obviously takes time to add without providing "new" contents, yet it improves the overall impression.

On top of that you assume each release will have the same amount of new text. You can't make that assumption. Most likely the amount of render and text increases in each release have increased as the number of releases per year goes down. I will also argue that adding more text now could be a slower process as the world building is pretty much set and as such writing new personality building storylines have a higher risk of clashing with previously written text. This means more details to cross check.

As much as Rachel is my #1 favorite, I have to say that I agree with this! However, she's got enough screentime all she needs from the last v.0.13 update, and plus she becomes the first girl out of the other girls to get her storylines completely finished. So I may've got enough satisfaction of getting to see her on focuse (even the wait for v.0.14 to come out takes for too long). At the same time, she also got her jealousy issues cured at the end of her storyline so I think she doesn't mind as the other girls get to have more screentimes with the HM (especially the BJ scene at the end story of fundraiser). So I guess it's about time for the other girls to have some more focused screentime

Might be a bug with your save. Try pressing shift o. Then type:
maxine_uw1 = False

That will reset the office event with Maxine and should allow the quest to trigger.
If you have triggered the quest but can't find the patrol event. Press shift and o the type:
mr_donation = 120

EDIT: maxine_uw1=False caused the initial Maxine visit to the headmaster office re: School Uniform complaint (the sexy minx scene) to repeat but did not trigger the patrol events for the Mole Rat donations and event.

mr_donation = 120 worked like a charm and caused the event to trigger.
