The VN was quite interesting so far, but the whole mafia thing doesn’t fit at all. In the last choice I went with the police. I hope that puts an end to all this nonsense and things can continue normally. I’d rather lose a LI than go along with something like that.

I don't mind the stereotypical story and the form of the game isn't bad.
But dear god does the dev lack any artistic sense when it comes to framing the scenes and especially fetish content.
If he directed porn, he'd be the type that zooms on the guys ballsack.

I don't think that will be the case, and Sophie is in it as well. If anything, I'd be more worried that Bo would've taken up too much time. But with her sleeping with Beth, I'm less worried. The MC still has his job and still has all the women to come home to. And if Sophie's scene is anything to go by, future updates will be a treat.

In his discord the dev said the maffia crap keeps going on because it will bring the girls closer together. So this shit show doesn't end but it's fundamental for his plot.

Yeah he did but right now he said it's needed for bringing them closer. I hope it's a language barrier issue and if gets resolved but I think we are stuck with this crime crap for a while longer.

I am not entirely sure how it will go, but I suspect the police/Kate option at the end will lead to very different outcomes. The Kate one will probably keep that plot going, and the police one might close it early. But that's just speculation on my part

I really don't think that this dumb mafia plot is necessary for that, the girls are doing just fine getting closer, with Sophie planing to get the sisters on board.

The issue with the mafia plot, in my opinion, is that it wrests power and agency away from the MC and player. At least, that's how it's portrayed so far.
I don't think the issues are specifically with the mafia plot in itself, but that there is suddenly an existential threat looming over the family that the MC is entirely powerless against and wasn't responsible for. This is a reversal of what we've been playing so far, where the MC (and player) were directly controlling their destiny through choices.
The slice-of-life power fantasy became a drama, and that's jarring.
Personally, I want to give it a shot. The dev's writing hasn't disappointed me so far, and I am curious to see how he handles it.
The way I hope it goes is that the MC gets handed a used gun to get his prints on it as a form of mutually assured destruction, then pivots into a plot where the MC will help Kate (or the police) take down her father. What I hope doesn't happen is that the harem ends up in a mansion on some tropical island funded by mafia money. However the game ends, I think it's important that the MC earned the happy ever after and it isn't just handed to him.

There are many opinions out there. Mine is that the blackmail happening isn't really that bad.
My problem is that the MC chooses one of the worst ways to deal with the situation, and you have no say in it.
