beg to differ

best setup is cousins/nephew/aunt to make sense
Yup, the relationship setup seems poorly planned. there you go, Grace is supposed to be the MC's sister down here implying they have different fathers. For those who easily get triggered by such trivial details (like me), I'd recommend going with the safe route of aunt and cousin.

Edit: Nope, apparently the aunt/nephew/cousin setup does not fit the story at all as freddygonzo proved the opposite a few message below. Better go back to the least-worst (mother/son/sis/bro) setup, guys.

I actually am bothered by little details like that, but it is weirdly made easier for me to deal with it as I have a brother irl who consistently refers to our parents as “your mom” and “your dad” in conversation.

would still like to know if there's a way to not be on the Bo path or is she a locked path?

as said in previous comment - tried being non-committal etc
You have to say you aren’t interested in Bo when discussing her with Sophie, then there one more chance to get on Bo’s path at the art gallery with Beth and Bo where you have to tell her directly you’re not interested.

But you should know that not being on Bo’s path will mean missing out on many Beth lust and corruption points so far.

Ah oh really?

Just finding the long distance thing a bit annoying tbh

Let me counter this for the fun of it and guidance for new players:
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
Sophie "I knew it."
Beth "You knew?"
Sophie "I worked it out days ago. I knew you were my..."
Why would it bother the twins that the MC's dad abandoned them (us) if they weren't all related family in the first place?
Isn't such expression above normally only used if all the children are abandoned by their father for another woman?
The father supposedly stayed in Beth's life and not in Beth's mother's life, so Beth seems more likely the MC's dad's daughter thus the MC's and IMO also the twin's half-sister.

There is hardly so much struggle to figure the fitting relationships like here compared to many other stories I've played so far.
I'm also currently trying to figure out the optimal relationships according to its uses in the story far.
There were changes in E1 when E2 was released to force players to reconfigure the relationships so all setups can somewhat work.
There's been some adjustments to the way relations are defined. Most are no longer tied to each other, allowing for more customisation, so you'll need to define all the relations again so that your save doesn't break.
Obviously, it can't be made right for everything as we find some discrepancies everywhere.
I unfortunately don't have the files from the first release anymore where some relations were accidently revealed.

Angela still doesn't have lots of content yet for more background to make one's mind either, although it would leave the question unanswered who is the true mother of the MC is in the end if she is declared as aunt. Growing up with the twins as cousins sounds too strange without knowing what happened to the MC's true mother. That would really suck if the MC's dad would have abandoned his only son when his former wife abandoned both of them or had died before.
Beth "I know you're not fond of your dad since he left when you were little but he was always there for me."
MC "(I doubt that. A kind and loving man wouldn't abandon his family.)"
"His family" sounds more like the MC's dad is also related to the twins including Angela.
Angela "I haven't seen that man since you were little."
Angela still seem to have had a grudge to him and won't call him husband anymore what is plausible.

relation4 is the relation variable of Angela to the MC:
Angela "And don't call him dicklips. That's an horrible nickname."
Sophie "Sorry, [relation4]."
That would mean that Sophie has the same relationship to Angela as the MC.
Works for "mother" but not for "aunt" if someone makes Angela the mother of the twins.
Sophie "Our [relation4] put it in the washing machine and made me promise not to tell you."
This is another shared usage of relation4 of the twins and MC which works for "mother" but rather not "aunt". A "landlady" washing for her tenants? That is very unlikely, same as how a "landlady" is the guardian for non-adult children in her home before they all hit 18.
Angela as adoptive mother shouldn't be ruled out either where her adoptive kids MC, Sophie, and Grace aren't even related to each other and call Angela their "mother" and each other "brother" and "sister". That could also be a plausible scenario.
There is also an a_name variable input later in E2 what to call Angela as MC, so useful for "Mom" here instead of "mother" like in relation4.

I also hardly believe the MC and the twins would make such a happy fuss about Beth as step-sister, while Beth would hardly want to move to her step-siblings she never knew before either.
Similar with the MC's relation to the twins. It "feels" more plausible according to the dialogue lines that he is closer related as brother than cousin.
"Favorite X", "little X", "big Y"...this is such typical banter between siblings.

Anyway, for new players, I think the sister/mother/(half-)sister descriptions work fine enough too although the MC doesn't look so related to the rest with his green eyes. There are enough games out here where whole families don't look similar either, so no need to bother about this either.

I would also pick "sister" for Beth, as "half-sister" sounds too reserved when you grow closer as family what happens here in this story.
"twin" instead of "twin sister" as relation3 between Sophie and Grace also sounds better during the dialogues.
Angela "How are the [relation3]s? Are they going through an arguments phase or a BFFs for life phase?"
If someone uses here only "sister" then this would sound they're related to the MC, hence "twin" works also better for the "cousin" preference.
"the [relation3]s" is often used during dialogues what shouldn't sound too mouthful all the time, like "You show the twin sisters your phone".
Better also not capitalize the definitions except what you call Angela as MC later in E2, like "Mom" or "Mommy", "Aunt" or "Auntie", or whatever is your preference.

I'm currently doing another playthrough and stumbled upon this changed line here in my old notes when the MC takes Bo to their date on day 7:
n "You say goodbye to your three [relation1]s."
Now changed to:
n "{i}You say goodbye to the girls.{/i}"
So the twins and Beth were originally all declared the same relation (Sophie->MC), either all friends, cousins or sisters.
It's obvious the whole story was intended as family fun but many authors fear the patreon ban hammer in the end.
The author has always changed old lines with each update, so there will possibly more in the future to get it better for anyone.

I don't want to advertise family fun here, as I'm rather concerned about enjoying a believable story with the right feeling for relationship definitions.
Well, it's everyone's own cup of tea how to define anyone, but given all the constant awkwardness and guiltiness of the MC, twins aka. housemates, and Beth to each other, it simply feels like a close family conflict, leaving hardly any questions unanswered about other relatives.
First-cousin marriages are legal in most countries of the world, including UK where this story plays (£, steering wheel right, alcohol for Beth & Bo being 18), hence there shouldn't be such a huge emotional fuss unlike among siblings.

Btw, if someone is curious about the Pleasure games if better turned on or off in the Settings:
As I turned these off with the latest update due missing a nicer story flow, I've noticed on day 5 with Kate you don't get any affection & lust +2 points at the end of her scene, unlike with Pleasure games on.
There are no point-checks until end of episode 2 part 2 for Kate, so don't worry missing these points out.
It is easier by dialogue choice with PG off to possibly unlock certain fetishes, like feet, dirtytalk and assplay during Bo's scene in E2p2, as you otherwise have to select the appropriate body part if PG on.

Also keep in mind that turning fetishes like lesbian off at beginning of the game will block out content and background with characters, like what happend between Grace and Sophie, but also Lilith.
A possible future event block can happen if you aren't on the Bo path, and Sophie asked the MS about sharing her and Lilith on day 3:
fet_poly (polyamory)
s_l_share (sharing Lilith)
This variable could be possibly responsible for future harem group scenes, so think twice about rejecting Bo!
Maybe the author is going to add another chance in the future, but who knows?
The Lilith encounter on day 12 is one of the most complex scripted encounter I've seen jumping around between like 4 scripts.
It requires following variables for the full scene:
Sophie path
Lilith path
s_l_share
fet_lesbian
fet_rough (by pulling her hair)
It's a harem story after all, so keep these examples in mind and better keep all content options on if you don't want to miss out too much in the end. Sharing with your female friends/cousins/sisters isn't such a big deal unlike with other guys anyway.

If someone here has contact to the author, give him a note about this possible bug.
During the prologue, there is also a typo missing the t at end of important:
b "This is important, so I'll come to you."

There are currently no points higher than 3 required for corruption checks.
Only Beth and Bo have some checks so far until end of E2P2.

If you are talking about Bo, there are following first bo_cor gains enough to cover any checks:
Day 3, cinema: send her to the "Red is the Coldest Colour" movie (+1)
Day 6, freeroam living room: "Ask her" about eating her own vag (+2)
Day 8, living room twistplay: "Tell her Sophie saw up her skirt." (+1)
...

Beth
Day 6, freeroam living room: "Ask her" (Bo) about eating her own vag (+1)
Day 7, hotel: Kiss Bo (+1, you need bo_lust >= 5 for this b_cor point)
Day 8, mc's room Bo sex scene: "Pull Out" (+3) or "Don't." (come inside) (+1)
Beth's only cor-check so far is on day 9 in the clothing store (if b_path == True and b_cor >= 3)
The only way to missed this is by not enough bo_lust on day 7 and picking "Don't."

Obviously, you should be on everyone's path to gain all the points. There are also sometimes whatever points gained only available during lesbian content, but these aren't really necessary as long as you aren't interested in Lilith.
As long as you send Bo to the "Red" movie and "bump and grind" with her in the bar, you should have enough lust in the end.
Generally, if there is a choice between romantic and sexy, better pick the sexy choices for the rare lust and corruption points. Affections is rather easy enough to gain in the long run.
Exceptions are when you need to tell someone what you like on them:
Sophie, day 6: Elegant tattoos, Irresistable figure, Divine legs
Grace, day 15 : Nice pyjamas -> Belly
Also when buying something for Bo on day 15, pick "Something romantic" which gains more affection what Grace also likes later, It has generally more dialogue either.
Grace has a g_aff >= 23 check early on day 16, so always help and be nice to her right from start, then this check should be easily passed with like 30 points.

Oh, another important question that might pop up: is the money enough to purchase anything for the girls?
Yes, you have like 6 pennies (due bug 16) left at the end of day 13 before gaining +£200 on (fri)day 14.
There is no bank account limit check anyway yet, so pay whatever is asked for!
How to pay the £5k for these blackmailing bastards is still the big unknown though, but this will be most likely not paid from the mc's cinema job alone.

How to win the kart racing on day 15?
Bide your time.
Slow and steady wins the race.
Undertake.

This has the advantage that you don't need to pay £15 or £30 for a meal afterwards. No one wants that "Bad Driver" trait either.

Minor issue on day 11 when playing console with Beth and Sophie:
Sophie kisses the MC without sophie_path check.

Btw, just played past the Angela scene again which is truely too short that you wonder if she will be available as love interest at all one day.
However, according to her few lines so far, you definitely hear someone's mother talking and see acting:
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
If that's not everyone's mother talking, then I can't help either.
Seriously, there is really no good reason to rather play the cousin/aunt instead of sister/mother way. And if there is still an unfortunately expressed line somewhere then whatever and click on!

The story scripts of the prologue and e1 are still well structured, but from episode 2 on the game frequently jumps between up to 10 script files for dialogue lines and scenes, so don't be surprised if something gets messed up on update releases.

It was a very good start but like several other AVNs I've encountered recently, there's a deal-breaker shark jump in the plot that drove me away.
The visuals are good, the girls are cute, and the story was developing nicely, until you're forced into an event that is out of canon for Beth. Had the developer built a case for Beth to be somewhat irrational at times instead of a girl raised in a strict environment by caring surrogate parents, her behavior might have been marginally believable. The whole idea that an extortion scene had to exist, ostensibly to make the MC take steps to increase his income and to protect the future of his newly found half-sister, could have been handled via a car accident caused by her jaywalking or other kinds of accidental causes that brought debt onto the MC.
So yet another promising work broken by a shark jump. One of my favorites was Nephilim which I followed for months until a shark jump out of character for a royal guard protecting a princess took place. Both that and this story's extortion scene turn me off.
In checking the comments, I see I am not alone in disliking this part of the story. If I hear that the author(s) have taken that part of the story out and replaced it with something less contrived then I'll revisit it as the rest of the story to this point was pretty well done and promising. But right now there are actually quite a few much better written and developed stories to follow than this one.

I've created a mod that allows renaming the MC's name, all relationships, and the imaginary cat.

Place THPRenameMod.rpy into the game's game folder.

Load your last save and check it out.
In the phone's character profiles, click on the MC's name or the relationship types to rename them.
Rename1.jpg Rename2.jpg Rename3.jpg Rename4.jpg

As extra, I've included some other variables in the profiles:
MC's money, angry and calm value
Sophie and Grace's s_g variable which is possibly their own relationship points what can be currently only gained at end of episode 1 so far.

I won't add any cheats, so don't bother asking.

This mod can work with any future version as long as the character profiles won't get a complete revamp. Current support: v0.2.21
If future game versions add new traits to modify the character's visuals in the profiles then this mod has to be updated to support these, otherwise the mod's functionality should still be there.
It's safe to remove all THPRenameMod.* files without breaking save games, as long as you don't save during the rename process.

Update: I've activated the persistent data, so the new names will be used in replays. If someone wants to remove the mod after changes, first set the names like desired, otherwise you have to start a new game to redefine anyone and load a day-6 save where you define Beth. The cat's name has no persistent data yet.
Update #2: added Angela's (call) name definition. I've improved the code to make Angela's and cat's rename option appear right after they are defined during the game.
Update #3: externalized the mod changes to make it more compatible to future game versions.

Sounds to me the game wasn't even written for incest and the dev just wants the extra tag by adding the option to define the characters' roles.

They could have different fathers. So they’re half siblings like with Beth
this right here I feel half siblings work best because from what I recall they didn't react very much when they found out the MC's father died. You would think they would have some kind of reaction if they were fully related. So my headcanon same mother different father

Here's another bug in ep1.rpy:

Code:
    $ renpy.notify("- £10")
    $ money - 10
n "{i}The fancy restaurant is a lot further away than the one you originally planned to go to so you get a taxi.{/i}"
Correction: $ money -= 10

There is no bank account limit check yet, so it doesn't really matter anyway. Pay whatever is asked for!

Btw, I've updated my rename mod above if someone is interested.

I've updated my rename-mod above again.
It should be more compatible to future game updates.
Make sure to restore the original mobile.rpy file before running the game with the new THPRenameMod.rpy.
