Put a decent amount of time into this game now and still have 2 characters that I haven't met yet. Will they show up through the other stories, or should I be choosing the "elsewhere" option sometimes? I've done it a few times and nothing happens, just walking around a bit and then going to the next day.

Yes the LightmanP mod, I corrected it on another post but didn't edit on the post that you quoted hehe, was mixing it up with other game where I applied a KoGa mod on the same day lol and yes that LightmanP mod has a link in the OP.
I'll edit the post now so I don't confuse other players.

lol Around the beginning of the game Tina was like "Hi I'm bi" and I'm like that's cool, I'm not too interested in her so whatever.
Then a bit later Kaitlin is like "hi I might be bi for tina" okay like she is trying to discover herself so that's cool.
It was at this point I assumed LI's wanting to engage with bi sexual activities with each other would bring it up. When kara said "hi I'm bi" I thought myself correct in that assessment.
Proceed god only knows how many hours later and there I am picking Robin to start a new life with. Sure it isn't really the same Robin you meet in the interim but what can you do. A nice monogamous life with her was just ahead... little did I know she would fuck Tina behind MC's back (literally) after taking advantage of his drunken state. There I was wanting to cry over a broken heart and wanting the MC to just leave but it was too late. I was locked in... so I just reloaded and used the URM to turn off bicontent because there was no way in hell I was going all the way back to tell Tina no to her bringing up being bi. (got a bit dramatic but legit wasnt expecting that scene)
Point being, it would have been nice to have Robin ask MC if he (as in me) was fine with her lezzing out. I thought Tina and Kaitlin doing something fit so I didn't want tina to not be bi, however, I didn't really want robin to do that lol would have preferred skipping the 3some altogether... but no point in bitching now I guess.
It's hard see any of them as the same LI's from the interim though. Besides Polly, Mira, and Selene. They act and look too different. There is some bleed through but still.

Yeah, Polly and Mira are the best, it's really disappointing that there is no throuple ending wit them, surprised me a bit, as that seemed to be the most wanted ending.
As for the Solo endings, Mira and Polly are the best, Marisa was surprisingly good, a few are so-so, most i didn't really like.
Harem one didn't reach yet, but as i have no interest in half of the girls it's kinda the one ending i just don't care about.

I thought Selene's had some nice growth to it. I do agree a Polly and Mira ending would've been nice. I haven't checked out the harem ending yet. Seems like a fuckfest lol It would be nice if you could pick and choose who is in the harem but I wouldn't expect the dev to put in the work for that lol
I liked Roe and Marisa's endings (I like long hair I guess) but they were also just depressing for me, in a way. A story about moving on, sending everyone on and being left with pale imitations lol. What they overcame and their personalities made them great and then they lost that, they just weren't really the same characters I got to know in the interim. Kaitlin lost her uniqueness... Eh I could probably go on but I shouldn't ramble.
Not saying I didn't enjoy the ride or that I didn't like it, just kind of felt unsatisfied with the endings I guess. But that is my humble opinion.
There are places in the game where the lighting looks more than a little weird, like characters' skin is glowing. It shows up on the "train" right at the beginning, and of course people kind of phase in and out. But it also shows up in what appear to be perfectly normal settings, like this:

It does seem we're just destined to disagree on things, though in this regard I seem to be in a distinct minority--Selene's ending was very frustrating to me, putting it easily at the bottom of my list, with her sister's just above for very different reasons (though I haven't gone through Allison's as a matter of principle*). Selene as a character/LI I came to like, but in her ending she just needed to get over herself--how much convincing do you need that MC's really into you?** Yes, he knows what you were in a literal past life, and it's obvious it doesn't bother him in the least. But I guess he gets to play Archon one more time...
Anita and Marisa were my #1 and #2 in the Interim, but traded places in their endings. I'm not entirely sure how to account for that, though I do like Marisa better with the longer hair.
* "Letting go of attachments to the past" is the entire point of the game/story--for MC to end up with Allison completely defeats the purpose.
** I'd have been fine if she'd needed to be convinced to be into him--"OK, we worked together OK in the Interim, the sex was good, but do I really want to be with you long-term?" But that wasn't her issue; she was too hung up on "her" past (in a literal past life--it was a different person) and what she thought MC ought to think of it.

Well I may find the ending depressing but that doesn't mean i dislike it or even disagree with it. You spend the game getting ppl to overcome their hardships and emotionally prepare them to move on so they can be reborn. The ending was expected.
I don't really take issue with Allison being an option, while moving on may be the point, some might not choose to. Just like some might just choose no one and move on completely lol If the game was Kinetic and the MC decides to go Allison then yeah id take issue with it but in the end, you have to account for the player. So yeah, it as an option is fine even if I won't pick it.
Selene did take a bit to come around but it was nice that she finally confronted her issues and by the end she did grow from it (despite actually decreasing in height)
I don't know what ending I'd prefer though. I get that they needed to get through their trials and tribulations and by doing so they get reborn in a life where events never happened. Kind of making the lesson learned from Allison pointless. But the LI's aren't really the same characters. Hell we don't even get a small titted LI because Kaitlin didn't even have to overcome that lol so when I go to pick, I get depressed because MC doesn't really end up with the character we romanced in the interim. Except Polly, Mira, and Selene. We end up with their end version but without the flaws or history.
To be clear though, while we might disagree on LI's because of preference and maybe MC's actions, I don't disagree on your overall take. I understand it, but that doesn't mean it wasn't bittersweet even if I can rationalize it lol I'm fine with disagreeing though, open's me up to different perspectives.
Having to use a virtual keyboard with a mouse is annoying.
