VN - Ren'Py - Completed - The Interview [v1.0] [AnimArts]

The game matches my fetish, so that's a plus, but I still mostly skipped it over and over again, since the author is clearly a bad writer ...
and to be honest, the game is just wasted potential. The author spent 90% of his time creating animations... For example, the author get as possibility switching between several animations in most scenes... Even if these are scenes with unnecessary secondary characters... Just why??? Such a waste...

So, I have a couple of opinions on this VN. One on the technical aspects, and something completely different on the story itself.

Graphics are well done. Bi has a fantastic body even if her face looks a little puffy. Basically in love with Ang though, every dickhead in this all seem to agree, she has the better face between the two of them.

Sound is above average. Music works well, changes tracks depending on the mood and it properly telegraphs when bad things are about to happen so huge props there. The jizzing SFX accompaniment, however, that just sounds ridiculous; it did from the very beginning with Anderson fucking the roommate and it did not improve. At all.

Now for my other opinion: The story.


Now I'll admit, I don't really like NTR/Netori games (not really my genres, even if I have played a few), but this looked too good not to try and it was so well done it's pretty much the top of that heap (still not a fan, but it's great at what it does)... but I can't in good conscious give five stars for what basically feels like an incomplete game. Had the dev said Part 2 coming soon™, maybe I'd back off (or just hold off the review), but all signs point to fin.

Taking off two stars for leaving me on what feels like a cliffhanger.

Sex Scenes are boring, and the sound is terrible. You hear the guy cumming and it sounds like a sprinkler went off. It´s really laughable how bad it is.

Conclusion:
This game is really bad. It´s like a teen watched too much Cuck and Rape porn and developed this game. It´s definitely not the worst game i´ve ever played, because some devs put the bar extremely low, but it´s up there.

Animations 5/5 Women are HOT!! 5/5 sex sounds during sex awesome 5/5 The amount of scenes are quite a few 5/5 Now if i rated on the story and this is mostly my preference but i hate NTR crap but far as dialog it was done well no engrish that i noticed . Only thing is the ending seemed rushed didn't really feel like an ending. It says complete but there is no real ending. I guess the girls got what had coming to them. Raped and treated like objects. used and abused if they had just stayed with their BF's they wouldn't have ended up like they did. Ok, first the bad. It is very much a linear VN. About the only 'choices' you make are flipping through the sex animations. Which, normally not my jam, but.. I freaking love it. It is dark. It is vulgar. It is intense, emotion-filled, you can just watch the mind-break slowly setting in.. It is everything it promises it will be, and one of the best non-con content games I've seen on here. And I so very much hope against hope that there will be a part 2 some day

Characters writing is poor: all the girls are dumb whores, they boyfriends are cucks, other males rapists and abusers. And there's no really corruption, they are forced to do things by threats and fists and not only one of girls is not trying do something against or at least resist, quite the opposite they do enjoy it.

But models is very beautiful and there's quality animated sex scenes. If only there was more meaningful plot and deeper characters it would be one of the best game. 4/5 from me.

The game has very poor character writing for my taste. I was expecting to good girls getting corrupted but in this game it felt like these girls were already corrupted and the boys had to face little to no resistance going kinky shits to these girls. This is kind of a turn off for me. But yeah who doesn't give a fuck about characters and just want to see girls getting fucked then they may like this game.

I now know what kinetic novel means, it means it is not a game.

The first big problem I have is the lack of meaningful choices. All we get are different angles and positions of sex scenes. Not even a simple choice like where the cum goes. That would have been fun.

Here is what I don't get. Almost every line of text has a separate rendered graphic. Even comic books cram more text in their tiny ass panels. If the author is willing to render every single line uttered, why not something with a little more role playing?

I feel like the author wants to be an artist more than a writer or game developer, but it is a game because games have a better audience on Patreon.

Bottom line, fewer renders, more choices. Even simple cosmetic things like asking which lingerie the girl wants to wear would add more feeling. Just give me something to feel like I am a character in the novel making choices rather than a disconnected reader.

It says kinetic novel in the tags, so it's more a comic than a game, which is okay if you know what to expect.

But the story is just awful and without any sense. The girls are completely passive in every situation. They constantly talk and think about how they shouldn't let something happen and then just don't react when the guy starts groping or straight up raping them.
The "alpha" guy also doesn't have any personality apart from being horny. He is never subtle, he is never even trying to be convincing, he basically just walks up to any women he sees and sticks his dick in her, while she doesn't react.
And the boyfriends are no different. They talk and think, but never act.

The girls also are not corrupted, they just get blackmailed or forced.

Again, if your fantasy is a world in which most people just don't move unless someone tells them to and that someone just does anything he wants without any reaction or consequence, give it a try. But if you like characters who actually act like human beings, don't waste your time here.

Second star because the renders and girls look good.

Well the graphics (renders, models, animation) were some of the best out there but the story, while seemingly well written was about several women getting raped and abused by despicable men. Very disturbing. I stuck with it because I kept hoping for even a wee bit better ending. OK here wasn’t ever going to be a great ending. We all know that but the really bad part is that the ending was sudden. It wasn’t rushed, it was SUDDEN. Even if it was the real planned ending and not an abandonment then it seems it would taken a relatively small amount of effort to add some more sad dialog between the girls as the plane slowly fades off into the sunset, or into some really dark clouds. But still, ending and subject aside, everything else was very good and I would give it a 4.7 star of I could so I’ll round it up.

Halfway through I was going to give this 5/5. The scenes are well written if you're into the genre, the animation is pretty good, and the story progressed without wasting too much time. But towards the end the story starts to jump around from scene to scene without as much cohesion, and then it ends pretty abruptly. So I'm going with 4/5, and will definitely be on board if there's a sequel.

This game is absolutely terrible. i never give 1* to a game but this i make an exception. it is just one guy screwing all of the good looking girls. the chicks act like idiots. if you like this genre then avoid. the dev is the mc basically. disappointing.

This game has a good start but finished as a real disappointment.
This was supposed to be a game about corruption, but it is not. Corruption is when the protag gets some benefits doing something that is supposed to be nasty (for sex, pleasure/desire, but it can also be money, power, etc). This benefit makes the protective shell around the protag slowly get corrupted (in a chemical sense) and crumble and she *willingly* does things that she considered as bad/evil before.
There are great corruption games in this site, but this one is just a rape game. Girls are blackmailed/victims of circumstances to have sex, but they never have any pleasure (except the cucking wife). They only express pain, disgust, hate. And they finish to get more or less sequestrated and gang raped 24/7 (yes it is a spoiler, but I do not care).
Besides that the story and the storytelling is terrible, incoherent, lazzy and unimaginative. Just an exemple: there is a side story about a wife cucking her husband. And for what reason? Either she does that or she and her husband are killed. Wowww! How subtle and imaginative! What a difficult choice! The scenarist is a real genius.
The protagonists have no psychological depth and you are never surprised. The girls dumb, the males are all criminals, the boyfriends/husbands are wimps.
The only reason why I give 2 stars instead of one are the anims. They are very good. The real business of the devs is to sell anims and this game is supposed to be a showcase of their (expensive) products. Indeed the anims are largely above the average here. But I would not rate them as excellent. The girl faces are always bland during sex and never express any kind of feeling. Storywise it is coherent that they do not have any pleasure (alas), but they could express pain, surprise, etc. An inflatable doll would be more expressive. Lame.

As this is a novel and not really a game the plot is what counts. Any story should have some kind of a twist at the end. There is none here. And also an extreme misoginy outcome. Hence minus 3 stars for the end. Game would have been much better if it was ending just before the flight so if you are playing best is to close it once you see the plane. The end is just a disapointment

i tend to enjoy games about male domination, blackmail, corruption etc, so i had high hopes of this one and going towards the end, had no single moment of disappointment. the dev shows he's an animations master, even details like the blinking of the eyes are pleasant to watch, let alone the various very well done sex scenes (with sounds fitting into the secene). the bff's have quite different characters and one is much more desperate to get that modelling gig than the other, so it's fun to witness the different corruption routes of the two unravel. beside them, there are a few other female characters, most notably sharon, who are hot as fuck. the dialogs also are spot on for a game like this, often including hilarious lines. i hope the dev keeps on making games as the potential, judging from this relatively short one, is huge.

A good kinetic novel with juicy animations. More of a movie than a game. 0 romance so content might be disturbing to some. Potential sequel might be interesting in case it will have more choice driven idea.

TLDR: Very good in some parts, quite lackluster in others.

Where this game really shines is the art and animations. I generally don't care all that much for animations, but here, there's a significant number of them, and all of them are very well done. Mostly, this refers to sexual encounters, where you usually have a choice between several options, sometimes each with different viewpoints / angles. Besides those, there's also nice little touches, especially the characters blinking their eyes - this adds some life to scenes, so it comes much closer to a "video experience" than if you were just staring at static renders.

Asset selection and scene building is also solid, with very few outliers.

Some renders appear slightly "off", but maybe that's just me - by and large, visual quality is top notch.

There's even sound, though especially the sound of the male ejaculation is more like a comedic relief than anything else. Otherwise, it's better than no sound, I guess, but also nothing spectacular.

On to the in my opinion most important part of a VN, the story. It's a kinetic novel - I feel some player agency would have done wonders to engagement, but can't blame the game for that, it does what it says on the tin. Unfortunately, the story is the part of the game I called lackluster.
It's mostly a power fantasy for the male protagonists, told from the viewpoint of the female protagonists, if that makes any sense.
The guys, especially our main protagonists Jason, are ruthlessly exploiting the girls and have their way with them. This is told in a nonchalant way - some reviewers seem to enjoy this, but without any context, it was all a bit flat for my tastes. It also didn't come off as particularly realistic. Not that I have any doubt that exactly this thing happens all the time in real life, but ... I dunno, I'm not in that business, maybe it IS realistic after all. But it wasn't too enjoyable for me as a player to witness.

Sure enough, the girls are coerced into intercourse time and time again. It's quickly made clear where is everything is going, and despite second thoughts, the girls quickly enjoy at least parts of it all in their inner monologue - and make stupid decisions to begin with - which doesn't lead to me being very sympathetic to them.

So, in the end, it's a plot like you could see in any actual story-heavy adult feature film. Somewhat disconnected, shallow, basically only an excuse to keep the scenes going.

It's okay to click through, but for a kinetic novel, the story needed to be stronger, imo, as without player choices, the game foregoes the main strenght of the medium, interactivity. What's left could be realized as an actual adult film feature, and even with The Interviews good asset selection and decent animations, that would definately be a superior experience.
