so im gonna completely ignore whatever brainrot conversation is happening right now and just share some thoughts that have come to my mind after the most recent updates.
Satoshi and Mary really one for the other but in the worst way possible, saying that they are opossite doesnt cut it. Great couple complement each to cover fo each others faults or what the others is lacking in their life. This two, have complementary faults that make themselves worse.
1. Both of them cant be honest with each other even if their life depends on it, unless if it is to hurt each other.
2. Satoshi is unconsciously (aparently) both passive agressive and judgemental. While Mary avoids couple confrontation like the plague and is way too agreeable even when feeling disconfort with a situation.
3. Their interest are the opossite of each other, but thats not the bad part. The bad part is that they dont make any effort to genuinely share those hobbies with each other in way that makes the other understand why is important to them.
I want to put an example of oposite interest working out from a manga that i love, ijiranaide nagatoro-san.
All this to say that problem with Satoshi and Mary isnt having different hobbies but not caring about making the other part of what they love.
4. They are both delusional in different ways. Satoshi delusions is his refusal to acknowledge painful situations wich makes him ignore what is clearly in front of his eyes.
But Mary is also delusional, her delusion is refusing acknowledge the severity of her actions. At one time she belived that she could enjoy all the cheating sex she wanted and still go back to her life as if nothing happened. Mary also belives that her love for Satoshi actually means something and constantly moves the bar of what it represents as she drowns more and more in debauchery. The moment she took Kendos dick her "love" became a worthless delusion, a mere lip service to fool herself and her idiotic boyfriend.
Even after they cross the point of no return (as we enter in both Kendo's and Arato's routes) she acts and thinks with this deluded mindset. In Arato's the idea of Mary, a cheater, scolding Satoshi for his crush on Shizuka requieres a lack of self-awareness that rivals Satoshis cowardice. On Kendos its shows itself in beliving that NOW she doesnt care (or cares less) about Satoshi when that ship sailed long ago and that idea of her giving him a last chance is nothing short of absurd. The only reason of why she starts admiting it to herself seems to be because she can justify it with the Arato incident, wich was a subproduct of her affair with Kendo.
Could you imagine someone saying this with a straight face. "Hey so i know i've been getting fucked by your uncle day and night for a while now but im gonna give YOU one last chance to save this relationship"? This is how Mary mind seems to work on Kendo's route. The only way i can describe this is as delussional
This is by no means is criticism on the writting of the charaters but of the characters as ""people", on the contrary a couple this dissfunctional makes this scenario better than in other NTRs out there.

From what i've seen (i stopped a while ago to let it accumulate more content) , you switch between the Wimp ,and his Uncle in selectable Day/Night . Maybe the girlfriend is playable at some point , others will confirm or deny , but so far two main men
because i tried to find some game with female protagonist that looked kind of nice and proper and this one said it had one but from what i read so far its not really the case

It's just one of the natural outcomes of flanderization. Character's attributes becomes a grotesque caricature of their former selves.
For corruption stories it works wonders, also it cuts a lot of crap out so the writter/developer can focus on the most scandalous bits.

Flanderization as a narrative tool. Interesting. I'm writing an erotic novel and I try to avoid flanderizing the characters to avoid it from becoming stale but I hadn't considered the use of it as a way to shortcut parts of the plot. Cheers mate.
