All encounters are finite, meaning you need to kill everything you see on screen when given the chance (sometimes its better to take a different approach than killing but ye, you don't get exp from not killing enemies)

You cannot return to an area and expect new enemies to spawn, once they are gone, that's it. (generally you can return to old areas after some time but you will not see same enemies in there "different placement of enemies means different enemies" )
Shiiiiiiiiiit, I screwed up then, damn it's time to play again from the beginning, At least I only got as far as the devil's path.

By the way, is there any way to get through the dialogues quickly?

start game, load save/new playthrough, go to "System" then you see "instant text" and if you want to see absolutely nothing, press ctrl with it, will skip everything and leave you in dark as you dont know anything

Generally I'd say that's a bad idea.
This is a game where paying attention to what's said really matters.
As this person said, this game is heavy in lore and reading is the only way to actually get the lore, so skipping alot of stuff is not that great of an idea

Let me explain, I'm going to replay from the beginning to the part where I left off because I left many enemies unkilled and now I'm very under level, so I need to skip everything I had already seen up to where I left off which was going down the devil's path, I'm playing this for the story and not for the sex scenes which are a bit lame for my taste, it's the only thing I'm really skipping.

I'm gonna play devil's advocate and say there is a few times in the game it's better to not kill everything (and in most of those cases, those are the only fight you can choose the run option. Additional exception include the proto-unsucubis...).
But yeah, when in a new area, the best is generally to locate if and where you can heal for free (example that are easy to miss on first playthrough include the north clearing after recruiting Aka and the campfire in the mines after rerecruiting Hilstara), then kill everything

Ctrl skip dialogues. Be warry: it skip every dialogue (up to choices), not just dialogues already seen like Renpy.

Also, if you are fine with missing them (let's be honest, they are not really useful), there is a mod that replace basic health potions with a reusable item that one shot every enemy that is supposed to be defeated (and heal+buff you for all enemies you are just supposed to survive). You can find the mod in the cheating sections of the wiki (or in the cheating link of this page). Because it only change the health potion script, it's completely compatible with normal saves (so you can switch back and forth at any point). Apparently, the modded version is up to 0.64.3, so you will have to switch back to the normal version at one point

That is true but you have to look at it from a different perspective, the person mentioned they only got to devil's pass, not to chapter 3-4 so my recommendation was based on their part of story and they mentioned they only want to skip the parts they already have read.

It is true that the game contains encounters that are better solved by doing anything but fighting, and it is true that its better to find people to recruit, but that only happens so rarely that its not much of a game changer (tried both way with aka and hilstara, chapter 5 they are literally on same lvl)

+ the person seems like a new player, let em figure out and fail on their own, its more fun this way, the less you know about a game, the more you enjoy it.

and since im too lazy to to quote the 2nd part, installing the modified version is not that good of an idea as you wont learn anything by beating 60% of the game with a 1 shot item, and then you have to ask people "how to kill obnoxious slime" and the version being out of date by so much just proves the point of it being useless, the only good modified version is the one where you get to recruit altina early, bcs it gives you a challenge.

Let me explain
No need. I already read that you'd screwed yourself due to being unaware of enemies not respawning.

so I need to skip everything I had already seen up to where I left off which was going down the devil's path, I'm playing this for the story and not for the sex scenes which are a bit lame for my taste, it's the only thing I'm really skipping.
Sex scenes has nothing to do with what I said. If it did, I'd have specifically mentioned them. I didn't, because this is barely a porn game at all. They could be entirely removed and there'd be zero impact on the story/plot.
Also, you haven't seen very many so far... Bit early to be calling them lame.

Going to be honest, I read their post diagonally, and though they were a bit farther in the game. Replaying a few dozen hours of content can be tedious, and made me give up on a few titles over the years.

I never played the early Altina mod. I saw it somewhere, was still begining and though I would come back to it once I understood what each character's strength is, and now I have no idea where the mod is :(

I mean you could, if you intend to make a playthrough where Simon has the attention span of a goldfish as a personal challenge to yourself, and then seeing where the world ends up at due to him forgetting what people said to him five minutes ago?

Nothing wrong with that, and it can be a nice change from over-optimizing runs :p

It has nothing to do with what you said but since I'm commenting on it, since we were talking about skipping dialogues.

And you seem to focus only on one thing and not on the big picture, otherwise you would see the reasons why I ask.

Yeah, i understand your goal and why you're doing it (you want to restart and rush to the point where you were while un-fucking yourself) and of course you're free to do so, what i'm saying is... dealing with the consequences of previous mistakes made may make the playthrough more unique than just chasing the perfect run.

To each their own, of course.

Well, it's brutal alright. Good decision to not go there early Simon.

It's pretty funny, I had completely forgotten that Qum wasn't the only character with this portrait in the earlier builds

How many of the scenes have CG by now?
88 in my Reflect skill (so, you have to add those I missed/exclusive to some choices) + repeatable sex scenes do not appear in Reflect (counted 56 so far)

I'm not counting Lilith, because she randomly choose her scenes (but there is a least 3 of them), and only those of 'nice' characters variations. Lynine and Orilise share 2 scenes, so I'm only counting it for one of them

Scenes that have multiples CGs in them still only count as 1

So, in total, 144+

Going to wait for all the final details and potential revisions before returning and running through this again proper, but man is that going to be a hard wait. Feels like the end of an era to see this more or less at completion now.

The future is also looking great after reading the dev does have some form of plan for another giant game down the line (AND it might be a space opera???). Feels good man.

Yeah this dev has done some amazing games and TLS might be their best yet so it sure is something to see it finally wrapping up

Same; I have to admit as someone who's been with the project almost since the beginning, it's kind of felt much longer than 5 years in development. I guess that's just time stretched in between updates :p Still though, I'm still getting hella wistful over the coming end.

Honestly though? Good for Sierra- it's easy to get caught up on one's Big Dreams™ and losing steam somewhere along the way (not calling anyone out, I'm one of those people). To stick with a project as expansive as TLS all the way through half a damned decade as a one-person dev team is quite frankly, an admirable quality to have, and for that, I salute Sierra.
