This is what I do, not so much as to keep it in the inventory but so that I can check it against other types of gear of the same typel. For example I had Nalili use a Sylvian sword for most of Chapter 4 instead of a Durge one because it has slightly higher attack and speed.

give Robin the crusader staff, but Altinia a staff of nature from the elven lands, and think I just picked up a regular staff/bought on for carina at some point

You want that extra Master Staff for Carina, not only does it boost up her magic which means more healing, equip it with a rune shield and it boost both her magic and normal defense to about 200, plus that elemental defense means no elemental attacks hit her. Makes her a very defensive heal bot.

To be fair there is a little bit of sprite sex in the game right now and you can see it as early as the prologue. However this thread and OP do have the "text based" tag for y'all to see.

is there a way to avoid missing 1 option at the big meeting in Ch3 or 4 yet? Not playing this till it's drunk proof. Getting notified you should have talked to some ancillary character an entire chapter or 2 ago is just shit. Rage quit every time, haven't picked this title up in 2 years, don't plan to this time unless someone can answer my question. Liked it up to the parts I played. Serious rage quit though, that shit in an adult game is just fucking ridiculous. I do plenty of adult things while playing adult games, like drinking & getting high and enjoying life. Remembering my decisions is low on my done list. Being punished for that is even lower on my to done list. It's a well written game if you can stomach the bullshit of coming up 4 votes when you kissed everyone's ass you could only to find out you shoulda sucked some ho's clit in Ch 2. You have to see her TWICE! make her more compelling at least, shit. I'm still angry over the hours I put into this game.

And just so we're clear, it'd only be a few CGs for a few scenes. One advantage of TLS's text-based scenes is that Sierra could fit in a million scenes with plenty of variations simply by typing out a few lines of text. The disadvantage then becomes translating all those scenes into pictures. There's a reason most HCG games only have a few scenes, or copy-paste their animations.

That said, while it is true that there will always be people asking about pictures, it's equally true that there'll be many people who, upon playing the game, will find the sexy bits mattering less and less. Hell, the latest updates had a big titty brown goddess with green eyes and red hair (which is 99% of my fetish list right there), and I couldn't wait for her scenes to be over just so I could take a peek behind the metaphysics of TLS's setting.



I generally sell everything except mana potions, those are worth my weight in gold (and lemme tell you, that's a lotta gold). Even then, I only use those sparingly, with my main party always having at least one succubus in it doing work. Hell, between Riala, Nalili and Qum you technically don't need any other party members, I'd think.

Not everything thanks to me also hoarding every unique weapons or item that cannot be bought like simons starting equipment it help me with a new ribbon when wendis upgraded the ribbon.

You are not actually keeping up with the news and you are making things less clear. What you say is false. CGs should be for every scene and they're very close to finishing Chapter 1 already.

Yeah, I misphrased that. What I meant to say was that the coming CGs would not cover every scene in the game.

That said, every scene for Chapter 1 already is something I didn't know about, hot damn.

What does the size have to do with anything?

There are 50+ hours worth of game and it's roughly 75% completed.

File size is usually taken up by CG's and this is text based for now. There are no bulky CG files.

If you're waiting for major gameplay changes you are in for a damn long wait ... like forever. It isn't changing.

It's an old school RPG. If you aren't used to playing RPG's that don't hold your hand then this probably isn't going to be for you. Waiting for changes that aren't coming isn't going to help.

You do know that RPG maker games are on the small side for size yes? 600 mb would be pushing the bounds and probably contain more than the game itself, like, the engine. Check out rpg maker's website for typical file sizes.

I mean, people often say the game has 50+ hours of content, but I have almost two times that exactly because I always try to talk to everyone, reading every bit of dialogue (except the sex scenes, which I skip) and explore every nook of the game being as through as possible, and I agree that the amount of missables and extreme long range consequences for small actions are not ideal for most people that are just trying to "enjoy the ride".

The thing is though, this not a game you spend 5 minutes in for a dose of dopamine. Just treat this as a respectful (FF7,FFIII,Suikoden II, Chrono Trigger) rpg game with adult elements, read some guides, maybe get fuminato's calculator and you'll be completely fine. Also, not sure if a spoiler, but in chapter 4 you'll get more of a open world experience.

This is probably not the game to be enjoyed while also doing other things that might distract you.

As good as the game's story and settings is, its kinda flawed that if you want to have a 'good' playthrough and get the 'optimal' result, you had to read walkthrough and guideline. As there's little to almost no indication what certain option will result, like the investment project; which the only visible result you can see is your return profit, while hidden variable it might gave cant be checked in-game.
That usually means having 2-3 browser tabs of this game wikia site opens at all time to reference and look for the playing variable.

Don't listen to this man. TLS isn't a porn game. Its a game with some porn in it. So yeah, imagine a zero budget Witcher. The battle system is just serviceable for what it is, an RPGMaker game, but if the story, world, characters and all the little variations you can affect hadn't drawn me in then I wouldn't play this just for the scenes.

I didn't really come to this site for sex scenes. If I had... well... then I'd be stupid. Pornhub is ^ that way. I'll never understand people coming to a game site... triple-x games or no... and then complaining cause they discovered a game mixed in with their porn. We need a lot less "games" that are simply click-to-see-porn affairs and more that balance the porn with actual, good gameplay. So, in my opinion, the "less game, more nookie" mindset is something that shouldn't be tolerated... never mind encouraged. If you want less game and more nookie... then, again, Pornhub is ^ that way. And don't come back.

If TLS has a failing where the porn is concerned... it's that the game is now long enough for the sex to get fairly repetitive. Unless the dev suddenly develops an interest in new kinks and starts adding them to the game it's at the point where I pretty much skip the sex scenes now. Still jump at the chance to play the latest version though. 'Cause even without the porn this would be a terrific game.

EDIT: Since some people don't have basic reading comprehension skills... I find myself needing to spell out a few things. First of... "people" is plural. This means when the word "people" is used, it is referring to more than a single person. To further clarify that means "two or more that two" though it should be noted the word "people" is most often used to mean "many more than one" as is the case above. Taking that into account... it should be really clear that the first paragraph above is talking about a trend, not a single incident. Additionally, "'games' that are simply click-to-see-porn affairs" means no branching paths... no control of the action... no non-linear story and probably not much story at all for that matter.

For those of you with two braincells (or more) to rub together, I apologize for taking up your time spelling out the obvious. I ask that you be patient with our less fortunate brethren. I admit... I struggle with this myself, it might even be said that I do not suffer fools gladly.

To be honest though, I actually think the more recent sex scenes (or at least, all the ones in Chapter 5 so far) are worth at least a single read through, as they do have some good character writing in them; the one with Simon and Wendis after she gets her new body is adorable as fuuuuck.
