That's only if you are trying to obtain all secrets and achieve the maximum outcomes. Otherwise, you can finish the game going blindly without major issues if you can apply basic logic.

Honestly, I couldn’t tell whether it’s an issue in the long run. It‘s been over a year, so I don‘t recall how much further I got, but I did get stuck because of it - unless I missed something else.
With that said, I kept the game on my watchlist and after reading your replies about equipment and cheating money helping out in the short run, as well as game mechanics balancing things in the long run, it does pique my interest. Thank you both

Sierra Lee is doing 'Don't Save the Princess'. Don't know whether this is a 'big' project, though.

Seems like a weird thing to add.
Like, the game checks your investments and if you play in a certain way, the game presents you with (maybe) easy-to-spot safe investments or so.
Of course, just a speculation, but still an interesting addition.

I forgot most of the story, as it has been years (the last version of the game I have on my HDD is v0.54, and IIRC the save is even older than that). So I would rather start from the beginning.
It is unfortunate that there is no Newgame+. It is a basic feature of most RPGs. Oh well.
