I wrote the steps I did in the walkthrough in the thread, you need to start the Clown Quest, then talk to the detective to get the line about needing a disguise which spurs Sluterella to look for a Clown Costume. There is a specific path you need to follow when the female clown shows up as well.
The male clown, instead of the female clown, is where most people were stuck, as I was, in getting the costume.
the next detective talk is the undercover whore agent thing. i tried. nothing changes. if i follow a clown he just pisses in the garbage.
You need the female clown. You need to have talk to the undercover agent twice at the motel, then talked to the detective, after talking to the detective, a female clown appears twice on the night you get the quest to get the disguise, if you fuck it up she doesn't respawn. You need your fame at 6, and finished the John stuff. The male clown is garbage.
I got the costume but didnt work at the circus, dont even know where that is supposed to be. Its really odd, that the game to this point is fairly straight forward with the quests.
I was stuck there for a while, I had to go back to an earlier save before these steps then come back and do them in order. I have a walkthrough on the thread that details the steps I did.
