Nah, the old sprites were too "chibi", too "similar" to the actual show. So I just redrew his sprites to fit his appearance on the rest of the scenes/minicomics AND fit the new sprites of the rest of the characters (Most may not know it, but this game had even OLDER (and ugly) sprites for the sisters and such, back when I wasn't even sure if the game would be a hit or not, and the story and game's content was barely planned).
Now his height and proportions fit better, and is about Lynn's height, just above Lucy's

In the following image I show how Lincoln's sprites (old and new) would look in full body, respecting the style.
(btw, "heads tall" is an approximate, counting cranium + jaw, no hair. and may vary with the pose of the body.)

Anyway, Lincoln's sprite changes were necessary to fit the rest of the game. Now he's not "older" or anything, just in a proper style matching the rest of the characters.

might be because im a God res 1440x1080 WIDE enjoyer but with old ones, linc looks shortstacked af. i think the new graphs are better fitting

The height and hairstyle on the newer sprites is a definite improvement, and fits the style of the girls better, but the shape of his head on the newer sprites seems a bit too narrow, the more round look of the older sprite head looked better, I think.

I was struggling to put together my thoughts on it, but you hit the nail on the head.

I was just looking back and forth between Lynn, the New Sprite, and the Old Sprite, and I was getting match-ups that'd change perception based on who I looked at first, which made zero fucking sense. Had my ass in another dimension.

It's not an egregious change though, I don't hate the new sprites. They definitely make Lincoln look older, though. Adding a bit of roundness to the face might do it, or making him slightly shorter than Lynn.

I ain't an artist though, all I gots is Stable Diffusion.

The writing of chapter 2 is completed, I think you guys already know that.
On my side, stuff has been slower this past month. SO MUCH stuff to draw, supporters will get a version with sketches like this this time
It's hard for me to accept it, but it IS true that a lot of work is being done in this game, and every free time I give to myself hurts because I'm not working on this game, that's not healthy... and it has been a year like that now...

About the contents for this next and final update (final for this chapter, I can't wait to start working on chapter 3 and 4...) there are some details:
- It has no free roam (this is the chapter's climax after all, so we focused on the story)
- it's the update with the most porn scenes so far. (the whole spectrum: horny-lewd-porn )
- It has more dialog lines with actual full screen CGs or minicomics than "only sprites" (so yes, a fuckton of drawing to do...)
In other words, short or long, it's a big update, and with big updates, comes great responsibility.

Take your time, please allow yourself free time, don't care what anyone says or if longer wait for update. Give yourself time, its the good and healthy thing to do. It leaves yourself more enthusiasm for when you do get to work and prevents burn-out.
I'm an author myself and the writing here? I found it really, REALLY good, maybe even comparable to games like Demons Roots on here. Together with the story you're trying to tell and of course the lewdness, i'd gladly wait ages for an update. The quality is top-notch.

I find it weird that people can pay so little attention.

2) "Whats the main girl for chapter 3?"
If you played the game, you can easily guess that is Lori, because both Lincoln and Lori 'Work for the Weekend' to get money to travel togheter to Great Lakes City to see Ronnie and Bobby.

3) "Can you add [insert extremelly rare, uncommon, niche, and unrelated kink/fetish here] to the game?"
I dont kink shame, but come on! Download renpy and make it yourself, because nobody is going to do it for you.


My favorite:
4) "Why don't you use AI to make drawings/dialogue for your game?"
Oh! You are right, I will abandon the 2 things that people like the most about this game!
Catspeaker , you are FIRED! Im going to replace you with a paid Cleverbot on steroids, and will replace the characters with wathever Akinator guesses by pressing random buttons.
Even more, why losing my time with AI images?? Lets just download some shitty 3D softwares with the same models as everyone else, take screenshots, and leave the default RenPy GUI, I'm sure that 30% of my playerbase (mobile) will be so grateful! And the folks at /weg/ and /weg2d/ will love that!!

to be fair, the guys at /weg/ hating your game is probably a good sign. They have negative taste.

As someone experienced with AI though, yeah, it'd be a downgrade. AI is best used as a stopgap for when you can't get a professional artist or even a talented amateur - it exists to fill that gap between "So I tried hiring this guy off Wish..." and "So I just straight-up raided Gelbooru for this shit"

The artist responsible for this game is nowhere even approaching bad, so AI'd be a significant downgrade.
