Question I'm curious about: any plans to implement the voice lines?

Digging through the game's files (which is much easier than it normally is for ren'py games), you can see that voice lines for the first 4 sisters are already made plus extra sound effects. I know there's been talk of including voices since at least the incident, but how far in the future until we can hear them in-game? Even adding them to scenes already created would greatly improve the game's presentation.

For certain reasons we can no longer use those voicelines.

We did have a bunch of them recorded from a certain voice actress, but thanks to matters outside of our control we can't implement them and have to start over from scratch in that area.

Tentative plans are for them to play a significant role in Leni's storyline as well.

I can't wait to see what Leni's storyline would be, I need more of the dommy Leni that we saw in the clothing montage, it will be interesting what skills she gains when she "locks in" since she is the stereotype of Legally Blonde. In the show she is sometimes even smarter than Lisa and more savvy than Lincoln for comedic effect and I want to see in what ways you translate that to the game canon, especially when the pleasure of the flesh are going to be involved.

Luna has probably been featured the least and we're aware.

Next chapter is Luan's but expect more Luna scenes so we can give her what she deserves and build up to her own storyline and chapter.

The double entendre chapter, the biggest challenge of this game, show to the people why Luan deserves to be best girl. I already see the easy jokes about her "squirt flower" and "cream pies".

There has to be something specific with braces since she is the only sister with them. It'll be nice to see how any lewd antics would extend to her love of cooking and if Lincoln will get even with her due to all the jokes and april fool's pranks when the time to take her to bed comes.

Nothin to do with NTTS, I don't want to create drama but I won't beat around the bush.

Bitty Cat was the VA we had hired and she's vanished in a cloud of trouble that just overall we and DMF are trying to stay as far away from as possible.

Her vanishing also means we wouldn't be able to contract her for additional lines for the characters she'd already done, which would mean voice incongruouncies if we got a different VA for the same characters.

At the risk of poking the AI hornet's nest, I would suggest a better approach would be to contract someone to provide a voice sample in addition to actual lines. They could record several allophones like the poem from Mission Impossible 3 "The pleasure of Shawn’s company is what I most enjoy. He put a tack on Ms. Yancey’s chair when she called him a horrible boy..." etc.

Armed with a good sample set to generate from, you could use AI to create either the actual voice lines or temporary placeholders. This would also allow you to very easily revise or retcon previous lines without having to contract piecemeal work months down the road for someone who may have moved on to a new project, or keep someone under contract just in case you end up needing them again in the future.

Also, if something happens to your voice actor, then you aren't back to square one with potentially having to find somone who sounds the same, or once again re-record everything you've already done.

"Why not just use fully synthatized voices?" I believe having an actual voice actor is better because you have the option of fully-voiced high quality lines for the most-important plot points. But by also having rights to saved samples of their voice, you have a backup plan should their schedule clash with your release timeline, or you don't really want to pay them to record lines thatn you aren't 100% happy with and plan to improve in a future update.

This is a much bigger issue that effects every porn game, much like the recent Steam crackdowns. Both are being caused by Collective Shout, an activist organization that pressured payment processors like Visa and Paypal into bullying the two sites.

Every porn on game on itch.io is currently either deindexed/shadowbanned or removed completely (like this one).

the plan is only let them back once they decided on new rules that will please their corporate overlords, including if creators link to them directly.

Considering Collective Shout’s stance against incest and child abuse (the “it’s fictional” argument never works in these cases) the chance of this game’s status getting repealed on the site are effectively zero.

This continues the trend from the controversies of Pornhub, Tumblr, Onlyfans, DLsite and Steam of credit card companies getting to decide what’s right and making sites choose between castrating themselves or going bankrupt as the service loses the means to support itself.

The shrinking amount of comforting spaces for NSFW fans and creators is very worrying. Expect a lot more refugees here, f95 is one of the last spaces left for porn games.

Also, if anyone is interested, they can sign the petition “Tell MasterCard, Visa & Activist Groups: Stop Controlling What We Can Watch, Read, or Play.” I'm not sure if this petition will lead to anything specific, but it will serve as a means of drawing attention to the problem. The more noise we make, the more likely it is that the problem will be addressed.

Japan has also recently begun to take countermeasures in this area, but since we are not Japanese, I don't think it will affect us.
