I dont know if my issue is the same as anyone elses. But I have been able to replicate it with the data I gave. So, at least with me the problem is related with the Internet.

As we have the game designed, the only optional girl is going to be Lisa. Lily will be off limits.
All the other sisters have mandatory routes. We're a two man team and our goal is to give the best Loud House sister fucking with Ronnie Anne experience we can give. That means focusing on things this way.

Even when we move to the open world there will be "Chapters" with one sister at a time having their specific story you're going through. You'll just have an easier time doing things with the unlocked sisters on the side and do some fun story stuff with the others, all while being able to go after the side honeys if you want too.

On the topic of side honeys, especially the ones that are friends of the sisters, will it be possible to go after them without involving the sisters that they are friends with? For example, let's say I go through Luan's story as usual and then I get the chance to go after Maggie. Will I be able to keep it exclusively Maggiecoln or will Luan be forced into it as well?

Hope for a break Up between Lori and Bobby. With a reveal that Lori liked Lincoln much more romantically since the beginning but chosed Bobby in the past because she was afraid of Lincoln feeling disgusted by Incest. But since she got her secret wish and did it with Lincoln in Chapter 3, she breaks up with Bobby for good.

I'm not crazy about the show, but this made me actually curious about it (gasp)... But something tells me the show lacks the character growth (like Clyde)'
I'm also not big on static image/panel sex scenes, but the writing is decent enough to get past it.

I think I agree with others in wanting more impactful choices... but I also know choice trees are a pain in the ass for devs.

Are you planning a spin off based on Ronnie's family after this?

Ok, this is weird.
The news feed only reloads when its opened manually, or when going to the main menu if the news were open last time.
If you keep the news section closed, it will stay like that until you open it again (even after closing and reopening the game.)
I will make an extra layer of "protection" for these cases on the next update (Adding an option in the settings to disable the feature completely).

But well, we aren't even sure if that's the problem, in special when this lag appear is not the rule but the exception.
What's your device's OS? It is Mac or Linux by any chance?

Hey man. I'm sorta jumping into this without having read the prior pages, but I am assuming this is about the game lagging for a very small minority of people. I reported the exact same issue when the live2d stuff was introduced along with some other peeps, remember? We thought it might have been Live2D as the cause. The patch afterwards didn't really fix it for me.

So since then I've played null hypothesis which also just got Live2D and it just didn't lag at all. Like at all.

But here's the kicker. Due to F95 getting a lot of malwared games lately, I started sandboxing games...when I run lewdest house without allowing it an internet connection, it doesn't lag...for whatever reason. So the lag might not be caused by live2d at all. The same update that introduced Live2d also introduced your newspaper thingy. Might be the cause...but I doubt your code that queries for the internet would run in the background while playing the game normally after the main menu, which is where it continued to lag back then.

Of course, I'm just talking out of my ass here, but I hope any little bit of info helps. For what it's worth I run windows with a 3080 and 5600x. Hardware was never an issue.

The game already got "cancelled" (in the other meaning of the word) for things that weren't even in the game to begin with and we tried to avoid and leave for the end (Lisa and the Twins). So now, after bans, death threats and spam, we are going to add them earlier because who the fuck cares now lol. We already played lawfully and still got punished.
So, from a developer point of view, I will continue doing what works AND I feel ok doing.

That's pretty standard these days. There's a common renpy mod that's added to a ton of renpy games that has a online component (it searches for updates every launch)

Yeah, Renpy internet queries are standard. I was implying that the implementation might have been bugged causing the lag.

F95 malware has nothing to do with game developers, malicious people leak patreon updates and put malware in them.

I know that 'NOBODY' likes sharing/poly/swing/ntr/cheating etc, and neither want a character dead, because I think in the same way.
So I will explain everything again just in case, and feel free to refer this post to future people asking about this, in special when recently a lot of new people found out about this game recently:

- Rita: We already said that her content will be mostly optional, she won't even have her own chapter or love points. This means, she will never be Lincoln's girlfriend/wife, or be part of the harem (A.K.A: sisters knowing about what's going on with Rita, or Rita knowing what's going on with the sisters).
Same for her husband, Lynn Sr. won't divorce her, or die, or share her with Lincoln or anything.
It will (again, optional) be a mother-son relationship with extra steps, that's all.

- Lori: This third chapter is hers, and even when we don't want to make spoilers (in special when the story is a BIG important aspect of the game), we understand that people are STILL worried about Bobby. So to avoid direct spoilers, I will just say what its NOT going to happen in general: sharing / poly / trio / cheating / involving Bobby.
And no, I will not draw Bobby's banging Lori for the game neither.
Bobby is not going to die.

- Luna: Luna is special because she's bi, and canonically, she has a girlfriend, Sam. She's already in the game in a couple of optional dialogs. The most important thing about Sam regarding this game is that she is, in fact, a girl, and everyone here likes girls. (so far)
She will be an important aspect of Luna's chapter. Her chapter will not be the 4th, and probably, neither the 5th. So we are not going to make spoilers, in special because her story isn't that detailed yet, and we only have some concept ideas.
But we confirm that she will be a "Side Honey" (already confirmed in the in-game character codex.)

And some thoughts about becoming a sellout, paywalling stuff, etc. and my experience making this game.
For anyone who cares:

Even when this is my first videogame, and even when it got way more successful than I expected when I started, I won't sellout.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE MONEY, its useful to pay bills, taxes, and stuff and that's great; but I like making videogames more. That's why the game is FREE and there is no paywall content besides a 30-day wait.

Now, making a game for free, and making a living out of it without paywalling stuff or sellout to 'whales' is not easy, but neither impossible.
I won't lie, it's kind of an utopic/platonic thing to imagine and perform. And so far, it seems that making constant updates without long waits, and giving what is promised instead of going off the trails are the key (and making an actual good game too, I guess).
I'm not the best artist, I'm not the best programmer, and I'm not the best developer to begin with, but I will continue trying to do my best.
