This is a recent decision, and I haven't worked out the details. The way chapter 8 is currently written is it will end with the current paths. Then I would make some changes in Part II. But, I might make some changes to the end of Chapter 8 to assist in ending the different paths. But nothing is certain yet. I know, not much of an answer...

Chapter 8 will be the final chapter... of Part I

Originally when I started The Libido Enigma I had written an outline for a five-chapter visual novel. It was important to me to actually finish this project. I released Chapter 1 on February 28, 2024, and I told myself that I wanted to finish the entire VN in under one year's time. But I kept adding more and more content that wasn't in that original outline. So now here I am working on Chapter 8. I'm still within that one-year goal, but that anniversary is approaching. One reason to have a finished VN is to be able to release a finished product on Steam, which I currently have scheduled for March 10, 2025.

As of a couple of weeks ago, my plan was to conclude everything in Chapter 8 and be done with it and move on. But I just can't let it go. I have grown so attached to these characters that they are almost like family to me. The thought of them just leaving my life was causing me grief. So, I've made a change in plans. Chapter 8 will be the conclusion of Part I of The Libido Enigma. The current plot arc with the experimental drug will conclude, and I will be releasing it as a complete game on Steam as planned. But I've decided that I want to continue with this same cast of characters (and likely add more) and just continue their journey with a new biotech storyline. Part II will likely have some changes. The biggest one being that it will convert to harem-only, and the monogamous routes will cease to exist. It's just too difficult to do five different routes. That worked when the game had an end soon, but for a continuation that would just be way too much work for me and cause the updates to take much longer. If you are on a monogamous path, don't worry you won't have to do anything differently or go back and play with the harem route. I've got some plot ideas to convert the monogamous routes to harem. I know some people will be upset with this, but I just have to do it this way for my sanity.

Well, I'm glad you decided, but for me, it's the end of the line after this one is done. I just hope that the solos people have chosen will have an actual ending.

So the plan is for the very end of the VN it will go back to you making a choice, including Harem or solo. Similar to what I did for the previous 2 chapters. I'm just pushing that back. I haven't finalized anything, I just know that I want to continue this and not end it yet...

Emily, but I have saves for all. With Emily and Brooke, I didn't fuck Heather, but did with the rest (not a big deal for Harem, twins didn't seem like they'd care and boss lady encouraged it.)

If broiler_x want to save time to finish this game properly, focus on only harem path might be the best solution under your condition. Have more time to focus to whatever you are doing and make most players happy with the harem ending. Look like a win win solution to me.

All routes (solo+throuple+semi-harem etc) will lead to harem eventually?

That is currently my plan, but nothing is finalized yet for Part 2.

Update: I'm about half way through Chapter 8. My goal is to have it finished by the end of next month. Not going to guarantee anything as my RL job is currently VERY demanding. But I'll try!

I can understand if you don't want incest and so avoid having the twins interacting with each other, but having none of these beautiful women be bisexual is seriously depressing. And, to be frank, just plain weird. It's a real shame too because it prevents an engaging story, and great graphics from receiving a 10/10. Best I can offer is 6.5/10

you find it depressing, I find it refreshing. 9 out of 10 games have women either already or magically turn lesbian . that is what is weird.
not every game needs it. 11/10 for me. hopefully it will stay like this.

Alright I'll weigh in on this: It just didn't fit into their personalities. It would be like in porn where you see two clearly straight chicks acting like lesbians. We all know that they are doing it for the camera. It's for us only. I didn't want to do that for my game. I could never see Brooke or Isabella or Emily doing that. Giselle? Maybe. But who would she do it with? I have very elaborate back stories about these characters in my mind, and I don't see it happening. Them suddenly deciding to engage with each other would be as troubling as one of them hooking up with Julian (ignoring the fact that he is gay). If I put that in my game it would just be for eye candy and it would go against what I know about these characters. Yes, it would be super hot to see Heather and Isabella going at it, but it would also be hot to see the MC grow a second dick and DP one of the chicks. But then I'm just throwing away reality, back story, etc. for eye candy.

But I appreciate the debate.

Yes, it's (sometimes) an interesting debate. Right up until it isn't. For me, the bottom line is this: It's your story. Tell it how you like it. If I like it, I will follow it. Maybe I will even support it. If I don't like it I will go elsewhere. This one; I happen to like.

It doesn't matter if the debate is interesting or not. Once the developer weighs in and let's us know a firm decision has been made, we should all have the decency to STFU.
