After getting past the shirt the MC wears at the start of the prologue the story is fantastic. I don't always spend time reading every single bit of dialogue but this time i did. The story is a slow burn and i really enjoy that they don't just jump into everything. it's a nice change of pace and the story flows well. I like that there are choices but not a crazy amount.

    The Missing Part – Review

I’ve spent the last couple of nights with The Missing Part – and honestly, I couldn’t stop playing. Sleep wasn’t even an option, I just had to see what happened next.

    What stood out the most:
[+] Emotional impact – the very beginning hits hard with loss, grief and guilt. Having gone through loss myself, I could relate to the MC’s despair on a personal level.
[+] Plot twists with real weight – especially in Chapter 3 (the sister twist), which completely floored me and made it clear that nothing is safe or predictable.
[+] Subtle “bombs” – everyday moments tie back into the MC’s tragedy (shoelaces, the nurse, the coffee cups). They seem small at first, but hit like a ton of bricks later.
[+] Reading & immersion – there’s a lot of text, but it never felt like too much. The pacing kept me hooked the whole time.

    Verdict:
The Missing Part is an emotional rollercoaster with believable characters, strong atmosphere, and scenes that stay with you long after playing.

I even sacrificed sleep for it – and honestly, that’s a price I’m more than willing to pay when a game pulls me in this deep.
Can’t wait to see how the story continues!

despite the rating, i've sat through it all. partly because it's rather short, partly because i've been waiting for mc to finally grow a backbone.
the game sets its tone from the start - by telling a bittersweet love story, without giving even a tad bit of choice, not even a flavour one, promptly losing a way to personalise the experience, however guided it was supposed to be. as such, we are tasked to take a role of a very clueless man, to a point when it's borderline painful to witness. if anything, prologue establishes a clear manipulative dynamic between mc and the central character of the game, and this dynamic bleeds in to the main story itself. pathetically little amount of effort went into showing the bond between these two, and it's never expanded upon in the 3 following chapters. thus, it nullifies the drama, as we are told there is a connection, but not properly shown, not really. besides, any and all self-blame reads as character regression, rather than growth.
moving on, almost universally, characters go out of their way to be annoying at start (some never cease), showing little regard for the man that has done nothing to warrant it (kudos to the author to allow to retort without being arbitrary locked out of interactions or "losing points" with them). still, brace to be berated for no particular reason.
also, being polite and friendly can lock you on a LI's path up until 3rd chapter. I've only pursued one, but been forced to witness mc go on length to appease to others, even if you repeatedly pick "grey" options, subtly refusing to advance is not a sign enough, not to characters, not to the author.
not to mention an obvious and fake suspense of a mystery that can be seen from miles away, but mc is none the wiser despite so many clues. it's not a satisfying feeling - watching mc being stupidly witless, more so, when others try to keep it that way by purposely ignoring direct questions. kudos to mc trying hard using his singular brain cell, others are nothing short of devious.
contrary to what you may expect, side characters have virtually zero progression, despite some choices being marked as progressing a side route and main LIs receiving a noticeable development at the same time (some more than others). you'll not get closure (I know I didn't) and there is no payoff yet. it may be hard to justify taking any side route when already engaged in one of the main routes going forward. so one must either willing to cheat (which in itself may cause more damage to the consistency of the story) or refuse to pursue all main LIs.

that being said, music and sfx are there, and they are quite fitting. it's always good for the visual story to be auditory too.
if you value narrative agency and earned character development, this will likely disappoint. if you’re fine with a guided, melancholy route and can overlook an inert mc, taking game's somewhat concise length into consideration, it may still be worth some of your while.

First of all, ive played this game for like 20min and ill explain why:
The game start with you MC talking to ur supposed best buddy, i notice that the MC is ugly af, developer could've make him a little more presentable, but that is not relevant, its just my personal take ... after an annoying 5min dialogue you go on start ur "journey" into the game, you quickly realize you're a rich loser that people treat you like shit, even your mother, then some random girl just hit u while skateboarding, and even though it was completely her fault, she treats u like shit, try to blackmail saying it will call the cops and other things if u dont buy her a new skateboard, of course, you a spineless loser that u are just agree with everything she says, and in the end, after a bunch of BS talk she start talking about some sad story and i was like "am i supposed to feel sorry for u now u f*** bi*** after u treating me like disposal garbage and MC just taking it like a good little bitch?" lmao, who wrote this thing? at this point i was almost uninstalling, but i was like nah bro, lets give it a try a little more, surely all those good rating means something right? then the game fastfoward into sometime in the future only to see u are married to this girl... i mean, i never played a game with a worse character introduction than this, developer must be smoking something strong to think this is a good start of a game, maybe the game is really a good one, but this beggining suck all my joy to play

    Harsh Critic

The story is pretty heavy on the tragedy in the beginning, but when the real story starts that's when it becomes very K-Drama-esque. There's not much going on after the prologue except spending time with LIs, to be honest my main gripe with this AVN might be in that department.

Reasoning : So far I only see one potential LI and that's Lisa, for some reason Hailey and Sarah are competing for bottom of the barrel, with the friends of both said LIs being better overall.

TL;DR - You play as a business owner who is put through the wringer from the very beginning, stumbling to find a meaning in his life or end maidenless

Best VN ever... I enjoyed everything about it, great story, great quality. Also time play is actually good, played it for few days. I wish the next chapter will be dropped this year but I know that not possible for a great work this one here. Keep up

Wow! I'm totally blown away by this AVN. This is absolutely one of the best I have played, and it deserves top tier ranking.
It's important to note that this is NOT a Wank fest AVN. It's an unabashedly story first. And it's a very interesting story. It's emotionally compelling and may catch some by surprise. It's a story of tragedy, loss and the road to mending after such.
The writing and story structure are some of the best I've encountered so far. The author created an extremely engaging world and characters. I found myself emotionally invested almost from the beginning.
Graphics are good, and the animations tastefully used. While they are perhaps the weakest part of this AVN, but they are still much better than MANY other titles out there.

If you enjoy an engaging story with lewds sprinkled in appropriate to the story line, then this is certainly for you. If you are looking for pure titillation, then look elsewhere. But you might try this one anyway. You may end up liking it.
Props to the developer and I hope they keep up the magnificent work. I really am looking forward to seeing the story unfold.
I'm enthusiastically going to subscribe to their Patreon.

You know, I spend the entire day looking for a great visual novel with a great story and characters. I'm not interested in a vn that is just about sex

And as a result, I rarely come across games that are worth 5 stars

But today I'm happy to report that the missing part is one of those games

From the heartbreaking prologue, from the very beginning, it hooked me, and I haven't been able to let go of it since

the characters are wonderful, not just an appearance, but personality

We have an MC that is a three-dimensional character with depth and not just a horny idiot

an actual best friend you actually like

We also have a story that is not just sad but happy and full of twists and turns

and not to mention a cliffhanger that leaves you wanting more

If you haven't played the missing part, I would advise you to download it right now and give it a shot

    You will not be disappointed

This is my first review of a game here on the site. For me, it's one of the best games here. It's easily one of my top 3 here.
The story is extremely well written.
I wish you the best of luck with the project and look forward to the next chapters.

Easily top 3 favorite games of all time. This game is amazing, this isn't a fap game at all but the story is amazing. This game has real emotion and depth to the characters. This game feels more like a movie, i cant get enough of it, cant wait for the next chapter to come out. Will be looking forward to the development of this game.

Too tired to write an essay right now, might update the review later. This avn is great. Not perfect, but nothing is. Some great looking girls, great dialogue (I read everything, instead of just skipping through through), didn't notice any annoying inner monologues that so many games have.

The story is very depressing at first, but that's fine. Not everything has to be upbeat and low stakes. So the prologue, while not exactly fapping material, is needed to set the stage. The later sex scenes and renders in the game while make the tears worth it.

Also, Lisa in her business atire and hairdo is probably one of the sexiest things in avn history, but that's just me two cents.

Lastly, though only three chapters in and less than one year after release (I see this topic was created on oktober the 16th 2024), there's a huge amount of content and the chapters are great in length. It's totally worth it to play right now, you'll have hours of content. Just bring tissues, for multiple reasons.

I subbed on jPk vns' patreon, after playing it the last three days. You might want to consider subscribing too if you like it and can spare the change :)

Now I'm giving this game 3 stars for effort, but I have to say, it's a tough sell for me. The prologue tries its hardest to produce as dramatic a reaction as possible so it bombards you with the most dramatic situation you can imagine, again and again.

The problem is, after it's over, you have to get into...well, a porn game. And after the premise was set it was just...how am I supposed to get immersed in brushing it off and going to have sex with ladies? The tone shift is seriously brutal.

I played for a while I guess but I just felt totally unimmersed. It doesn't help that the writing is clearly not done or proofed by an english speaker. Usually that's totally fine for me, but if you're trying to make a deep, serious, dramatic and emotional game, it just doesn't work the same way.

It's also heavily cliched, everything that happens feels inorganic, like a writer deciding what to write, rather than a world of its own. Every character shares weirdly profound stuff for no reason at all but to clue the reader into their internal struggles.

I get why it's somewhat popular, it's original and the author is trying, but to me it just doesn't work.

    (Review is as of Ch.3)

This one is really, really close to great as of right now. The flaws are few, but significant. Minor spoilers below.

The title already explains what the story is going to be about: loss, trauma, and how we deal with it. To be clear, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, and I like when stories are brave enough to tackle trauma; provided that they're written competently. Especially when it comes to the main character, the threshold for "competent" is very high. While the story largely handles the side characters in an adequate manner, I think it falls a bit short with the main character.

There is one other problem that has stood out to me so far, and it's kind of hard to describe. Basically, the dialogue gets really weird at times. Something will happen that strikes a nerve with a character, and then that character will really lash out. On the surface, this is fine. But the dialogue seems ill-equipped to handle it: especially with the MC, there are occasions where he pretty much no-sells it. And then immediately after the outburst, the conversation just continues with a fairly normal tone. I think VNs as a whole have a bit of a cliche "tone" to them that is outside of the way people normally talk in real life, so maybe an effort is being made here to subvert it somewhat in the name of realism, but then you have to make the reactions fit as well. When somebody lashes out, people tend to react strongly: like "wow, what the fuck?" or at least they're thinking "wow, what a bitch".

This story is close: like really, really close. Even this early on, it's very clear that care has been taken to explore loss and trauma in a believable way. I want to like the characters and care about how they've gotten to where they currently are. I hope it gets there, because I think the story will be remembered for a long time to come if it does.

    Review after Part 3:
if you like drama, and some rain inside your home.
Hands down this is the best avn currently being made, sure you could argue with some good titles, but this is a rollercoaster of emotions, good pacing and now a big mistery related to the story title.
I seldom have this difficulty to choosing a favorite girl, but hey kudos to dev.

Wow. I never thought in a million years an AVN would not only have me wailing like a baby once, but consistently break my heart again and again and again. Just when you think things couldn't get darker, the wonderfully sick bastard who made this takes us there. I was very surprised by how heartbreaking this story is, since sadness isn't exactly a turn on and what you typically would want out of an AVN. But it works very well in the end. The evolution from depressing to slightly more lighthearted things was extremely well done.

Beyond that the characters and the chemistry between them is some of the most three-dimensional and interesting I've come across in a game like this. The artwork and the LIs are beautiful, the writing is sharp and evocative, and the story is flawlessly built. The only criticism I could offer is that the animations are a little awkward and disappointing, but next to the tear-jerking center of the story, it doesn't even register. Wouldn't be surprised if it's the most emotionally devastating game on this site, and it's incredible how quickly it manages to pull at your heartstrings. I'm both incredibly excited and terrified of what the next chapter will bring.

There has only been a very few VN's on here that have made me really care about the characters and this by far is one of my favorites of all time. The story is great I have yet to advance unseen text and doubt I will unless saves get broken somewhere down the line. The story is gripping. I lost my fiancé in a car accident and man this story brought up things that are hard to talk about. If the author wrote this without having experienced loss or not knowing someone who has suffered loss then kudos for really understanding what goes through someone's mind. Anyway, Story is excellent. Renders are awesome and it has the right kinds of music to go with it. If you haven't tried this yet just download it. I don't think you will regret it.

Wow you did a really good job. Super impressive story writing. Great graphics with okay sex scenes. The sounds during the scenes could use a little touch up. Sucking sounds have an echo and one of sucking sounds clips. With it being so depressing it makes it really hard to rub one out though. Thanks for including a walk though , it helps a lot !

    Overall: 4/5
The premise is well done, and the story really does well hitting the emotional beats. The MC is great in some areas and also misses in others. I think this could be due to the lack of consequences in the choices which make him feel too perfect. As a player you are meant to empathize and understand the MC's emotions and not really self-insert yourself into the story (even though you are allowed to rename the MC). Rather I feel like you experience this game as if you are looking into it at a lens from a 3rd person perspective if that makes sense. The tragic backstory of the MC really pulls you in, but as the game tries to slowly weave in the stories of the other LI's I suddenly feel disconnected with the MC. Rather than empathizing, it began to feel a bit unrealistic of how easy the LI's fall for him. It's mainly the way choices play out makes it feel too smooth, too consequence-free. The MC rarely faces pushback or emotional fallout from his decisions, which makes the relationships feel a bit idealized. You start to lose that sense of artistic realism the story worked so hard to build. It’s a bit jarring, because the game clearly understands emotional storytelling. Again, the storytelling is great, but it's just a hit or miss with lack of consequence with the choices.

Beautiful crafted vn. Quite an emotional ride as well. Everything from the beginning tldr felt like honest efforts went into making this.
The character development of main character from being a self centered snob to mature adult capable of living in the society inclusive of care and sensitive to others and has got almost better at reading the room.
Animations are good and nsfw scenes have picked up the pace.
Well written characters particularly the antagonist like Charlotte. Can hold the weight and her interaction with mc gets me riled up to the point that i wish mc could just hatefuk the bitch against the wall while her daughter watches lol.. She might even like it for fuk sake haha.
All in all real one to look forward to the vn.

I had high expectations from this AVN since playing Chapter One, and oh god, JPK VNs delivered. The Missing Part is just something else. From the very first moments, it delivers a gut punch of emotion that sets the tone for everything that follows. This isn’t just another AVN with pretty models; it’s a story that makes you feel the MC’s grief, his choices, and his desperate search for meaning.

    The Story – 5/5
This is where the game shines the brightest. The writing is sharp, heartfelt, and never lazy. It’s rare to find an AVN that treats its characters as real people instead of fuckdolls and dildos . Here, every love interest feels like a genuine part of the MC’s healing journey. And yes. the prologue will wreck you.

    Visuals/Audio – 4.5/5
Models and animations are beautifully crafted, with music that hits at just the right moments. The intimate scenes aren’t just “filler spice” either they’re polished, emotional, and surprisingly immersive.

    Gameplay/Choices – 4/5
It keeps things simple but meaningful. The relationship system rewards realism over fantasy, which means you can’t just romance everyone without consequence. That doesn’t mean you can’t be involved with multiple characters at the same time, but it’s not the same as freely romancing them all. It raises the stakes, and I think that makes your choices matter more.

    Final Thoughts
There are numerous good but forgettable AVNs out here, but this isn’t one of them. The Missing Part is a rare gem that combines powerful storytelling, strong characters, and gorgeous production into something unforgettable. It’s emotional, it’s engaging, and it absolutely deserves to be experienced and not played

For me, this is an easy 5/5
