Go to the nuns' bathroom, see that the wood blocks are outside, but don't go in. Instead, immediately go across to the monks' side and see their bathroom.

You should get an option to skip when you've failed enough times.

do whatever quest you have that isn't on hold, that's what's holding up the rest of your quests. Read your journal it proabably tells you exactly what you need to do, Alcahest has done a really good job. Also read the tips
