To gain Veteran Detective, load up the html file in a good editor (regular old Notepad works just fine on Windows 11) and search for the error message you get when you enter an incorrect code (currently this message starts saying "Wrong code").
You'll find an IF statement, currently looking like this:
if (co == null || co == undefined || co.hc() != setup.gc()) {
Then simply apply elementary programming skills to change the "not equal" test to the opposite:
Specifically (for 0.8 at least), change
co.hc() != setup.gc()
to
co.hc() == setup.gc()
(in other words, replace the exclamation point for an equals to sign)
This means that any code EXCEPT the correct one unlocks Veteran Detective.

doesn’t work for me. Yes it says the code worked but it just reverts it to base state. The same prompt to enable veteran detective mode still shows up.

I'm open to ideas for a Paradise Found 2, but how would it work? There's not much more to do if I continue from where the first game left off, so it needs something new.
brand new game, new characters, new dialogue, fresh reasoning behind the family assistance. The recipe of how you used videos, progression, and overall gameplay was just fantastic. I’ve replayed it 3 times.
Paradise Found was a great game, I have played it quite a few times, for me the drawback of that game is that it is only in English, do you know if there is a way to play it in another language?
That is not a drawback at all. The fact that more than 50% of games have some shitty russian converted to english dialogue makes this game stand out as one of the good ones. The conversations actually make sense and breed a good story.
My only issue with Paradise Found, iirc, was the replay gallery was very cumbersome to use, particularly how it was organized.
But the game itself was surprisingly good. It had a steady narrative progression that had enough clues and hints to keep you going, without having to rely on tedious grinding to pad out the game time.

Not that I know of. I know of a Chinese and a Russian attempt a translation but I don't think they were ever finished.

I believe I've asked this before, but do you plan on adding more girls? I personally think the amount we have right now is enough.
