RPGM - Completed - The Monstrous Horror Show [v2023-04-23] [kaniheadcrab]

Horror and eroge are a combination that I think go really well together, though it's hard to find a game that delivers on the concept. Thankfully, this game more than executes this genre with just a bit of RPG elements mixed in.

The main gameplay loop involves exploring your locale and searching every nook and cranny for items. These range from consumables, key items, as well as collectables that all contribute to your overall progress in the game. Buy, sell, and combine items in designated break rooms to give yourself the best chances of success.

Once the scenario monster appears, it's time to run to safety or else you'll get fucked. It's possible to drive the monster away in battle, but you're only truly safe from danger after finding a safe place to hide so I hope you've been paying attention. Make it to the end of the scenario and it's time to face off in a climactic boss fight.

After completing a scenario, you are taken to what is essentially the gallery room. You can interact with heroines from previous scenarios here, plus there are additional goodies to unlock. Here, you can sell collectables and other items for more money which you can use to raise affection with heroines as well as unlock any scenes that you may have missed during gameplay. Completion is fairly easy because of this, as you don't need to dig through every nook and cranny to unlock everything though obvious a thorough search through each scenario goes a long way to reducing any tedium.

H scenes are well drawn and use some limited animation to really sell the action. There are also dot pixel animations to enjoy as well. Overall, the gameplay is incredibly satisfying and H scenes are placed frequently enough to motivate you to keep going. It's an enticing game with just enough spook to keep you on edge the whole way through and I highly recommend.

Didn't expect it to be this dope.... The story is pretty interesting and there is an actual plot going on that I rarely see in h games in general the ending was also very unexpected but very cool nonetheless ... Great cgs, there were no repeated cgs which was nice to see... Although there are a couple of h scenes I didn't like but it was purely a preference issue..... Finally it's pretty clear that the dev actually tried and delivered a great story with great h scenes would 100 percent play and enjoy it again

Wasn't expecting it to be such a gold, apparently a lot of effort was given. And the joking atmospheres are to the right point. Though being classified as a horror game, I still mostly enjoyed it's part in the role and story.

I played this game in Japanese too, and i loved it.
Saw that otakuplan was doing a English translation and got exited. and ofc after playing this with English translation it got way better.

You should play with the first girl first, For example, If you first play with hatumari(last girl) you will get a big spoiler of all the girls.

Cg's are awesome, some have movements others not.
There's a rape(dad-daughter/loli)scene with ikuha that I didn't like but... whatever It's her story/trauma i'm not the writer...

Wish it had voice. and I want more games from this dev.

I played this game in Japanese and don't understand a lick of Japanese but it was so good. The CG is phenomenal, the situations that our heroines find themselves in are truly depraved yet there's a charm to the story. 10/10 would and have fapped and played again.
