Hmm, on a serious note I'm starting to realize why the elves may have a deep rooted grudge against, humans, they being traditional, and close to nature, feel like the few humans bringing corruption, as a thread, and the Templars as the force to prevent magic siliding, into the "Normal World" is the focus of infection, so yeah there is a lot of corruption going on inside the order, anyway the Elves don't seem to feel serious threatend by the "order" elste they would have taken them down, right away.
now the "third power" at work has become more real (for me) looking forward to the Update and the unveiling oft the plot.
abrazo.

There is a lot to look forward too, the parents and what they have to say, Medb, the Elves and their world, why the MC is there, more info about the third faction maybe, and so on and did I mention Medb and more Medb..... I'm excited.

I'm starting to suspect that MC and his sister, aren't the biological children of Grandmaster and Hilda, and are linked to either the elves or Fionas race.
that would explain, the strange abilities MC is discovering.

Certainly feasible...

One of the few things story-wise I'll always answer and try to make clear because that thought will lead to "We can bang Jess and Mom" eventually...
Jess is MC's sister and both are the children of Robert & Hilda. By blood, birth, and whatever seems important to anyone. ;)

And even in Neverwhere...

Also, seeing the posts above this one, and the "step out of the shower" tease near the beginning of Chapter 3, even though this isn't that kind of VN (and I'm not lobbying for it to be - we don't need that kink in every VN offered), having her saunter out of the bathroom after a shower, completely unobscured, to be surprised that Kaija is in her brother's living room (when she wasn't expecting anyone to be around), would be a nice little treat. ;):ROFLMAO:

Finally into Chapter 4 and "Cold as Ice" hasn't shown up on my Journey (at least if it's where I think it should be based on the ordering given and scene set-ups).

I think it should appear when we see the guys beating on the one dude in Neverwhere, and we either refuse to get involved generally, or we ask Kaija to get involved and she refuses (I've gotten both responses to "I can't" depending on what Kaija route I'm on). What's the secret handshake for this one since playing both ways on both of those paths didn't trigger?

Iirc it's not on that scene, it's a bit more down the way, to chapter 5 , It is involving certain Elven beauty ;)

Hey everyone,

This week has been somewhere between busy and annoying.
I'll start with the annoying part. My PC started to reboot randomly out of nowhere. Not reproducible.
Sometimes after a few minutes, sometimes after 8 hours. Sometimes when trying to render, sometimes while being idle.
But most of the time between 30 to 60 minutes after I went to bed... so the PC could sit idle for the whole night instead of rendering. Thank you, Murphy.

First idea for that behavior would be broken RAM but they seem fine.
Second idea (because it mostly happens when render queue starts a new render): GPU or power supply. Doesn't explain the random restarts while being idle.
The check of the Windows Event Viewer brought up an error message for a service called GameInput Service. Every time before a restart...
A bit of Google research (because yes, Microsoft, I don't have anything better to do than troubleshoot your fucking updates) brought up my exact problem of random restarts connected to that service.
The service was running with 2 instances, an old one and a newer one, and Windows apparently doesn't like that.
A check of the installation date of the new service brought up the 12th of March. And that fits the timeline of the restarts happening pretty close.

I got rid of the old service and that hopefully fixes the issue now.

Moving on to the busy part.
Despite the restart issues, the progress was still pretty good. As planned, I got my new test build up and running which seems to run stable without issues.
At least something that works as intended...
Story-wise we're back in Neverwhere and the focus of this week was on static renders and writing. That means: No new animations ;)
On the other hand, we have 93 new static renders and 296 new lines in the script file. It's good to see some progress on those numbers again.

Total numbers:
93 new, 944 static renders in total
35 animations
296 new lines, 2637 in total

I'm pretty positive I'll hit the 1000 renders mark within the next week.

That's it for now, guys.
Have a nice weekend.

Cheers,
Ceolag

Based on Ceolag's well-presented numbers, he is now averaging roughly 83 static renders, 3.1 animations and 230 lines per week since work on Chapter 5 officially began. Here are the charts:

Despite the computer troubles, this was the second most productive non-animation week of the development thus far, so I'd say things are going well.

I'm very curious to learn how the MC apparently wound up in a nightclub in Neverwhere, to say nothing of what he's actually doing there. Personally I'm not all that keen to see more of Nightingale so that part is a bit of a miss, but otherwise the new previews definitely have my interest.
