I can maybe trust Medb to be honest with me
I wouldn't go that far yet. Yes she shared some personal stuff, but she shared nothing of strategic importance (rightfully so). I'm honestly surprised she/they let the MC go at all, it's kinda a stupid move if they are going to war anyway. Medb I could sorta understand, personal connection and all that... but the king and queens? Come on. They lost one of their trump cards when daddy was released and another one pops up voluntarily in his place. You don't let a political hostage walk away like that (whether you like him personally or not is irrelevant) on the brink of war without getting something in return.

In one play through I am a child of light and my soul mate is Fiona. Together we will cleanse the world of the evil Templars. In another play through I have forgiven Kaija but succumbed to the dark side. She will revel in becoming my abject servant and submissive. Together we will cleanse the world of the evil Templars. Hehe... Did I say that part once already?
something something cleanse the word of templars, we get the gist of it :ROFLMAO: Can't say I dislike the idea

I think you can only Trust Medb when it comes to the MC's personal safety and trying to end the war as quickly as possible, at least until she loses some say or power. But I don't think you can trust her in a fight to not go overboard and harm ones the MC might not want killed or hurt. Or if she had to make a decision her people or us then as she will always pick to side with the elfs no matter how she feels.

They haven't let him go yet. I'm guessing there's another conversation or two at least before MC goes anywhere. And I suspect that letting him go, assuming they do, is more a matter of honor than strategy. He came on his own, on a mission of peace and spared Finn when he was under no obligation to do so, and generally behaved himself and was honest and straightforward with everyone. I'm guessing it would a blow to the honor of Medb and (posthumously) of Finn to do anything but let him go. Still, if the opportunity arises, I'll volunteer to help Medb against the Templars.

I got the opposite impression from Medb to me it felt more like a genuine concern for his safety. If I recall she said something like if we don't get you out of here soon or you will be a hostage. It could be like you said she is honorable and doesn't want to ruin her name. But idk I didn't feel like honor had anything to do with it personally.

I'd volunteer to be a hostage before I'd return to the Templars. I really hope that's not what MC does in the next chapter (just go back and hang out with the Templars).

Earth is more than the Templars, you know.
Sure, I'm not saying he can't go back to Earth. I just don't want, after everything that's happened, for him to go back and hang out with the Templars as if everything is fine ... or he's just a little angry ... I don't want any more interactions with Templars unless we have the option to fight them.

I want to talk to the Templars. I'm not hostile towards them, I simply don't trust them. I want to know what they have to say about what happened. I have no doubt they'll try to spin a story for me, but given the smartphone message, I want to know if the Alfar are lying to me or not.

Honestly I don't hate the Templars just like the Elfs I feel I still need to learn more about the conflict to pick a side. At least if I don't let emotions get in the way... but because of Fin I automatically choose to side with the Elfs. Even if the Templars had nothing to do with Fins death culturally the elfs was just alot more fun to be around anyways. I much rather my MC retire and live out his days with the elf's such a more relaxing and peacefully city and area to be in.

That should be a choice then, not automatic because I have no desire to talk to them - unless I'm gathering intel for Medb. For me it would be weird if MC just walked in and started chatting because I'm very hostile toward them. I basically wanted nothing to do with them ever again before I went to see the elves and now they killed Finn (and I do believe that they killed Finn.)

Sometimes you have to do things you don't like to accomplish a goal.

Humans need protectors too. The problem is not the Templars mission, the problem is that the Templars are run by idiots or traitors.
Hmm the problem for me is that for them to survive they'd have to be rebuilt completely with zero of the current members. So maybe if I get the chance to kill them all (or let them die in battle or whatever) and then I have the option to rebuild the Templars completely with some help from Kari, Medb and Fiona I'll think about it.

We have too little information about the organization as a whole for that. Are you telling me that you believe that every single Templar in existance is corrupted and evil?

I joke about killing the Templars but that is way to harsh for me. Get rid of the leadership in a peaceful way if I can first but I really wouldn't touch anyone not apart of the leadership. Even then I'm not sure if I would. I dislike the Tempars sure but I really don't know enough about them and their role in the conflict to get rid of them. I may like the Elfs more cause im biased as hell towards them but I don't feel I know enough about both sides to make a decision if it came down to it.

Well, I see it like this: In relation to post #1 in the overview it says:

Quote: How you deal with this new situation, this new world, who you trust or not... that is up to you.

Our MC was involuntarily confronted with a truth that was kept from him his entire life.

Everyone has to decide for themselves how they evaluate certain statements or actions and who they trust and who they don't.

For my part, I stay in the "golden mean" and don't take sides, because there are good and bad people on both sides.
