Played it. Loved it. It was packed full of content and I favored every part of this. I'm just waiting to be able to do Storm.
Sorry if I misinterpreted your question. I'm running on a Mac without issues. Thanks, but again, as I and others have already said, this is unrelated to running apps from unrecognized developers.
If anyone who's actually got it running on macOS can weigh in one way or another that'd be helpful.
Luckily I have access to a PC as well and I've played through and enjoyed it, looking forward to more content. But at least some Mac-only folks are being left behind here.
Once you get past the first week or so of game time your saves should work normally. Often it occurs just once and then resolves itself. To load a save I have to first a new game.
No worries, sorry if my response was overly aggressive. Searching through the thread for the issue just gave me several replies of the usual "this is how to open apps from unrecognized developers on a Mac" advice, which... yeah I imagine there are probably posters here who are running stuff on Macs for the first time, but most of us have learned that dance by now.Sorry if I misinterpreted your question. Have you tried downloading the game again and moving your save folder into that? I'll bring the exception up regardless. I'm just wondering if you moving things around may have misplaced something.I don't mean to come off as dramatic or something of the sort if I do. If all I can do is just live with the issue and will likely have to start up a new game if I want to have purely functional saves I'm fine with that, just let me know. Otherwise, any substantial insight is appreciated.
Guess, you need some patron-exclusive codes
Yep.Given that the Devs have made a point about not wanting to patreon lock content of the game
Essentially this.1) Its easier than recoding everything and 2) It could be useful later down the road for easter eggs, plot ideas, etc.
Already planned my boyo. Are there any plans to expand the sex? Outside the obvious, like more positions, threesomes, backgrounds.
I mean like autonomy for the girls, or having them comment on things you've done in conversation outside of it, or whatever else you can think of.
Like there's no load option at the main menu?To load a save I have to first a new game.
Okay, you get an A for a reference that landed flawlessly.
I did download the game again when I first tried to fix my issue, but I didn't do the save folder transfer initially since I have never really done that before (Why I don't is that most games seem to retain fully functional saves from a previous install and even across separate, co-existing installations or completely, long-since deleted games). I even went to the length of testing the functionality of saves for other games that went through similar displacement and those seemed to not share any problems (All of which were made in renpy, too). By save folder do you mean the "saves" folder that's under the main game folder's "game" directory? I thought I completely deleted the original installation but now restored it and transferred the distinct save files from the first installation to the second. Still get hit with this:Have you tried downloading the game again and moving your save folder into that? I'll bring the exception up regardless. I'm just wondering if you moving things around may have misplaced something.
I'll remain active here and cross-post stuff publicly mentioned in discord and patreon. We'll be getting any updates about the process to the next release around here?
We try to be comic faithful.Just played through this for the first time today. As a long-time Rogue-Like player it's super weird to see Xavier being treated as a serious character instead of the protagonist's comic relief punching bag.
I've brought it up to the dev team.Still get hit with this:
Rogue and Laura in my case. I'll frequently get my girlfriend to look over some of the dialogue or scenes I've written to get her opinion before submitting a new bit of writing, and if I had a penny for every time she's said words to the effect of 'I feel personally attacked by how you've written this', I'd be able to donate enough cash to make this a AAA-quality game single-handedly.Though Holder(One of the lead writers) and I based Rogue's Gothness off of our girlfriends.
I've just downloaded the game, Ctrl+click to open and started running...No worries, sorry if my response was overly aggressive. (though I would be curious to know whether you opened the linked archive in the default macOS archive utility or with a third-party tool, since that's what made the difference for me. I'm guessing there's a subtle difference in the way permissions for some files in the app container are handled between archive utilities and that's what is leading to the un-openable app for some Mac users. Though I tried the usual chmod fix and that didn't seem to help either.)
Devs have said it'll be personality based, so some girls will be open to it and some won'tAre there any plans to get the girls to eventually be more exhibitionist?
Ngl I could see all three of these freaks getting into that, it'd be hotDevs have said it'll be personality based, so some girls will be open to it and some won't
I dunno, the Professor still can be a bit silly as we see via HumHum. Kidding aside, it is really great to see him be more the caring mentor....it's super weird to see Xavier being treated as a serious character instead of the protagonist's comic relief punching bag.
I agree it would be hard to include multiple romances in a VN. I'm tossing my hat in not minding the grind at all. It'd be harder to cover multiple romances in a visual novel than it would in a sandbox.
As well as reduce roleplaying a bit.
Would a friendship bar make sense here or do you feel that the trust and love bar cover that? I'm thinking of trying a new run once I reach the end of the current content that has my character only sticking to one partner. The game is about developing romantic and platonic relationships with X-Men characters.
I feel the Trust bar covers friendship, you trust a friend, you trust that a friend isn't going to hurt you. So yeah, it fitsWould a friendship bar make sense here or do you feel that the trust and love bar cover that?
