Bring on the silly questions. I love answering them.
Just check them PMs, you missed answering two of them.
Check out the last quote.
Nice, can't wait to be a smug book-worn jock.
It obviously wasn't shown but in the comics X-23 was a hooker (...)
Oni hinted at this time in her life in the minimal bits of story he injects into Rogue-Like.
The comics are brutal to Laura as she had to resort to prostitution because (...)
Honestly, I thought Oni was just being silly since it's a smut game - I knew she had some sort of misfortune in life, but fuck... how much of... all that... are you all just letting aside, as "something that just happened?"
How young was she when that happened? How old is she in the game now? I've worked with people with lost of social skills based on traumatic events and that's a character gold-mine if treated with a reader's respect in mind.
Further things we're not including are - (all that, damn)
You 100% shouldn't, but could there be at least one - 1, ONE, singular - line that says something in the line of; "Imagine if (thing that happened in the comic) happened? Wouldn't that be crazy?"
Yeah the team basically just wants me to outline the main story for the game and not bring up some of the squick.
I have some faith, but I do hope, sincerely, that you do a good job at making stuff more sexy/sensual and silly rather than just sexual and edgy.
Yeah we're not gonna try and handle stuff like underaged prostitution and rape. We're taking pride in the quality of the writing we're intending to provide but at the end of the day this is a porn game where you'll be ramming Jean Grey up the ass and making Emma's mascara bleed as she deep throats you.
We know what we're doing and have enough sense not to try and make any statements or pretend we're adding something to a discussion.
You don't make a good story with rape, or underage sex - you don't need edgeness to have human deception, all you need is respect and intuition to let it be natural (as opposed to forced) and realistic (as opposed to clear/non-dimensional.)
I've done writing in the past, and I had to touch on some bad plain of thoughts under characters I wanted to make enjoyable to read and the best tip there is for that is to make them interesting without fluff - less talking when their mind is being layed out on their own terms.
Spontanity in conveying ideals is great when you have intelligent realistic characters explaining stuff.
I've recently watched Sopranos, the entirety of it - it can be really stupid sometimes - but often it'll have the best dialogue I've ever had the pleasure of hearing. It helps that expressions can convey more than words and most of the cast kills it with their faces.
