To be smug is to be crass, it's showing your lessers that you know you're better than them. It's acknowledging them and giving them more thought than they deserve.
Cold aloofness suits Emma better, a neutral expression because she just doesn't care enough to acknowledge anyone but herself.

I think the everybody might be too hang up about the expression when it might be that the artist just drew a neutral expression for this preview. Imo she looks great but I would've preferred a slightly sharper eyes and the Bob cut.

Chapters 2, 3, 4, and 5 will be VERY event heavy with a lot of optional side content. Chapter 1 is only as light as it is because A. It serves to introduce you to the setting and B. Null isn't a member of the X-Men yet. He will join the team officially in Chapter 2.
Null won't be at every event the X-Men took part in. Not every member of the team was there for every plot beat.

This. Y'all forget that each eye, eyebrow, the lips, and nose are all separate pieces. I know some of y'all press skip but actually look at our faces and you'll see that the expressions change A LOT.
Any timelines on that? What is your impressions and speculations? Being the part of a creative process you surely must have some.

I do pay attention, like when the girls wink an eye at you, Rogue blowing a kiss when saying goodbye, or Laura's akward little smile when shes happy about something.
But i do agree with the fellas that Emma needs a bit more Hmmph to her, ya know?
They can still read the thoughts he's "sending" to them, right? Charles mentioned Null doesn't have to answer out loud when they're communicating.

In my mind, if i was Null and id have to fight the god damn White Queen, her villain theme would need some fancy opera singing in the background, think something along the bossfight theme of Alexia Ashford on Darkside chronicles.

Then why aren't there one night stands or a more immediate progression to sex without wooing as if this was a black and white movie?
It's more realistic to land a chick soon and have sex with her straight up than going through days and days of foreplay, hardcore petting, then blowjobs and whatnot.
