Comic book physics are a bitch. I've always considered Null as able to nullify a mutant from using the mutation - Cyclops from firing a beam, Jubilee from sparking, or Banshee from screaming. But if the power is activated, is the energy released by a mutant inherently a mutant energy that Null can negate? Or is it like a bullet, once the gun is fired?Would not work since Null's power would likely nullify Scott's optic blasts about two feet from him (edit according to how the dev's designed his power).
I could see that since it would not be Scott's optic blast actually reaching Null, but the concussion from super dense air blasts and some flash heat from friction hitting Null. Even then, side effects from powers would still work, such as Scott blasting the ground out from under Null or shooting the ceiling above Null to create hazards.
The closest thing we've seen is Jean and her tennis ball training, and I'm unclear if she's driving them telekinetically, or just flinging them at him. The latter would suggest Null can negate momentum. If he can muck around with Newtonian mechanics, he's damn close to Omega level already.
