Really i like the rogue like style better since it's quite close to the original x-men evolution style, the art is a little funky though in the sex scenes because of the animations, but the style of this game is good, though i don't like when the art is too different from the original source, i had a lot of trouble accepting the change in art in amity park too, if it was not a game about x-men evolution i would be ok with it.
Rogue-Like is following the X-Men Evolution style but this reminds me of the Astonishing X-Men/Messiah Era(I wouldn't say trilogy only Messiah Complex and Second Coming matter, Messiah War was filler) I think this is most clear when looking at X-23 in her comic accurate costume, it is like the source material it's just that the source material isn't the adaptation

I don't know why some people are worried about "stolen art" when so many of the porn games we see have clearly stolen porn video or photos thrown in and we all know they didn't pay Sasha Grey or whoever to star in their porn game when a little ctrl+c does the job. Running a photoshop filter over it doesn't count either, which I've seen some try. If you want to be consistent about worrying about original art only then there's a long list of games with photos and video that come under "stolen art" too. I don't really give a shit as long as they make a good game and people here playing it can enjoy it. Especially as most people here are pirating the games in the first place too anyway to put the icing on this "why should I give a fuck?" cake.

So let me get this straight: A Rogue: Like copy, word for word among other things, similar mechanics and such, only with a slightly minor improvement visually (some of the images do look off though) and we are gonna praise this? This game is gonna get slammed and taken down sooner or later once Oni gets word of this I'm sure.

Amazes me how some people really don't have any creativity in terms of games like Rogue Like. Sure you could copy some things from it, but atleast add more creativity and change things to atleast make it appear different. -smh-

Why's the dragon lady from Game of Thrones in this?

Jokes aside, not sure how I feel about the art style. I preferred the ones straight from the old show. All I'd really want to see is a focus on a smaller cast doing different things and a larger variety of outfits rather than 10 of them all doing the same thing. Otherwise, what's the point in doing another version of this?

This is the real issue here. The original game got boring real quick as it fell into the trap of adding more characters doing the same thing with the same processes you click through. A lot of apparent work for a glorified color swap. Too many fall into this and you end up wiht a really shallow and repetitive game when using that time and effor to expand the story or add events would go a long way to improving the game. You can always reskin or give options for cosmetic swaps on the object of your desire later on or inbetween the bigger updates. You don't even need to write a whole knew character just doing the same shit. Have some woo woo explanation why she can change to suit the player's preferences. No one will give a damn if it gets them off better.

Commenter: I can't believe they stole Rogue Like's art and designs!!!

Marvel: Really now? REALLY?

This game is a bit of a mess - I am playing the mac version and I cannot save

```
I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred.
While running game code:
File "renpy/common/00action_file.rpy", line 383, in __call__
renpy.save(fn, extra_info=save_name)
Exception: Not saved - no valid save locations.
```

Dialogue boxes are small and do not fit in the box

Clicking the white cheat button twice means you need to click 'done' twice. You should also add a way to roll back or at least view text history in some way

I played only for a couple of minutes and it is clearly not ready. Consider polishing it and making the game playable before your first release (even if it is just a beta) as I think first impressions are important.
Wouldn't be a Rogue-Like game if it didn't have a mild taste of spaghetti code lol

I honestly have no opinion about the game because I can't play it. I particularly think that if you are going to criticize, at least it should be constructive and suggest what can be done to improve the game. If you don't like the game just stop playing, you don't have to stay here complaining, you're just acting like a child wanting attention. I didn't like several games, I got angry because of bugs, but that's not why I'm complaining like that.

I think they could put on some music, because I think it gets a little boring without any sound.

Ps: To the creator of the game, ignore them and keep making the game, don't give up just because of the haters. Don't get discouraged, instead use it as a motivator to improve your game. I think it would be a shame to see you give up just because of them, they are not worth it, there are people who support you and neutral people (like me) at the moment who still don't have an opinion about the game is more important than theirs. It's impossible to please everyone, no matter what you do in life. It's not worth stressing about it. There are several games that were copied from other games, not really bad, "fortnite", "free fire", "Smite", etc...

So, it doesn't matter if you were inspired by another game or copied it, all you have to do is gradually change the game to create your own style. So they couldn't say that in the future.

It also becomes kind of a mess with that many characters. To the point where the game kind of bugs out to correct itself because you're progressing too fast with one and not fast enough with the other.
I don't even remember Jubilee from the old show, then again I was a kid when I watched it. I know FOR SURE that, that Jean-Grey isn't the one from the show which is unfortunate. It's like they're adding characters just to add them when I'd actually just be fine with shallow updates like more outfits or some bs if they don't have any idea of what else to do with the game.
Rogue, Kitty, Laura, Emma Frost, Mystique(added this one in), Jean-Grey from the show, Storm. That's more than enough. Expand on those.

Some of this is really reasonable feedback, even if people have trouble giving it nicely. It seems like one simple thing I can do is cut out any Oni dialogue that was lingering around because of my laziness. Just did that and pushed the changes to the git.

I'm not the best writer, so no promises that it's going to end up any better xD

Honestly it seems like Rogue-Like with Defenestration's art. I prefer the original art since it's less "minecraft 64x64 medieval realism texturepack" look, but considering the author of Rogue-Like adds like one feature every 2 years (last couple updates were miniscule), adding literally anything new is a thousand times better.

Just hope it doesn't have a spaghetti code curse like how Breeding Season's copies all result in abandonment.

You speak as if rogue-like was a trademarked product that isn't allowed to be copy-upgraded...
"imitation is the greatest form of praise" is it not? if these Dev love rogue-like and want to take their spin on it I don't see the problem and I dont really see any reason to bash them because of it.
What exactly is the problem really? you worried the rogue-like Dev gets less fans or money? Im pretty sure people who love this also came from the fanbase of rogue-like, already paid well over the worth of his project.
If the "lack of creativity" bothers you so much, you can always just stick to the original

If you hear some humming noises from the shower. Be a good boy and do not peek. In other case you'll get this. Error #2. Gonna find them all! :HideThePain:

Exception: DynamicImage 'characters/Laura/images/standing/nipple_piercings_barbell_covered_[Laura.Clothes[dress].string].webp': could not find image. ('characters/Laura/images/standing/nipple_piercings_barbell_covered_towel.webp')

The path should be: ('characters/Laura/images/standing/2/nipple_piercings_barbell_covered_towel.webp')

Same. I knocked on the Shower door and ended up with an exception. Basically like yours. I was expecting Rogue because she announced that she's hitting the showers after the Danger Room exercise. Instead the error code gives me shit about Laura like yours.

I proceeded to skip all the errors and ended up in the Showers with an invisible Laura with flavor text when taking a shower. Seems the code thinks she's there.

Well it's cause the outfit generates funky, it should an easy fix for dev. Try reloading your save and enter again few times, it generates different layers each time as far as i can see. One time i managed to enter the room and see Laura naked without any errors.
