I don't know that the X-Men are even gonna be introduced into the MCU any time soon. That is, outside of Deadpool 3, which I doubt they would use as a lead-in to more serious X-Men movies, and I don't know if they're gonna treat that like it's really the MCU proper, or just another corner of the multiverse like they did with Venom and Morbius.I'm fine if we get a new actor. Hopefully one that's actually 5'2 XD
Yeah we decided early on we weren't gonna be that mean spirited. They could just be incels...
No they're ours.Or give them one of unnamed Stepford Cuckoos...
You say that like it's a bad thing.Or put them in the twink dimension.
I mean I didn't even remember the name properly XDX-Men: The Hidden Years, a.k.a. John Byrne's least essential series to date. And that's saying something.
I'm just sad that the Venom Tom Holland will be fighting won't be Tom Brady'sI don't know that the X-Men are even gonna be introduced into the MCU any time soon. I read the first few issues then started skipping huge chunks of it. A lot of the 60s/70s stuff i just started scan-reading, so much of it is too simplistic for me, but THY doesn't even have that excuse, it was a late-90s release. Don't get me wrong, when Byrne's good, he's good, his She-Hulk run was character-defining for a reason, and Next-Men started off as a great deconstruction of the X-Men franchise as it stood in the early-90s. But then there was a whole time travel thing and the plots started getting more convoluted and it just got too convoluted for its own good.I mean I didn't even remember the name properly XD
It could be even worse; there's talk that Holland won't come back either.I'm just sad that the Venom Tom Holland will be fighting won't be Tom Brady's
I'm really curious to see how they'll handle this, but I'm guessing it'll just be some kinda throwaway meta-joke, at least in the next movie. I'd be thrilled if Deadpool starts crossing over with the Avengers and other MCU properties. But yeah Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and Kevin Feige have all confirmed on social media and some interviews that Deadpool 3 is in the actual MCU.
You know what's crazy about this? The people making the movie didn't actually get the rights to use a SHIELD Helicarrier. The directors had toDeadpool 1 did feature a shield hellicarrier in its finale
There's a reason it's the only valid option I gaveYou say that like it's a bad thing.
*Googles* Dude I straight up thought that a Football player became an actor. I don't know sports. Also, I think you meant Tom Hardy.
The directors had toYou must be registered to see the linksthat it was just some generic "flying combat platform."
You're getting 4 semesters in the first build. Unless you mean chapters. Can we know how many full outfits are available in the first two semesters?
It was a fantastic send-off. Wolverine's the same man he has always been, his character is treated well, and he never breaks character.I actually think it was a good send off for Hugh Jackman's Wolverine. I'm fine if we get a new actor. Hopefully one that's actually 5'2 XD
You think it's good? Can you share why? I want as many ways to see that ending as there can be because I think it's absolutely, just, disrespectful in a movie that respects its characters so fantastically. That is a matter of opinion.
I was confused by that as well, I just assumed it was because I missed a movie or two, but Logan is very explicit in his language - I'm still not that interested in watching whatever came out after... whatever the last one I watched name's was, but it made me curious on just how much I missed.Though they also implied that Logan was also in the MCU??? Which I can actually see as being a thing as some lines of dialogue can imply that mutants weren't as big of a thing so Logan could be a third X-Men timeline entirely.
This is one of the funniest lines I've ever read. I just imagined a judge with his hammer saying; "You're sentenced to the Twink Dimension."Or put them in the twink dimension.
It was just Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead, who exists in the comics but was basically a new character for the movie. I forgot if it was the first or the sequel but theres also a scene where a lot of the fox actors for the newer movies are in a room and they quickly shut the door before Deadpool sees themBy the way, I've only watched Deadpool once - doesn't he directly visit the Institute and brings along... I think three? People with him? Wasn't it Rogue, Collusus... and I forgot the last one.
In Deadpool 2, there's also "Yukio," NTW's girlfriend, who is clearly an active member of the X-Men based on the climactic fight scene, but I don't think she was based on anything from the comics (there was a character in the comics called Yukio connected to Wolverine, but that's just a person's name, there isn't anything else they had in common). Also,It was just Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead, who exists in the comics but was basically a new character for the movie.
Without being much of an expert on Cannonball, I feel like her powers are basically, "Cannonball but we already spent most of the effects budget on Colossus."Their powers are pretty similar, but hers are more energy projection than flying, invulnerability and all the other stuff he does.
Yes.By the way, is he going to be 5'2" in Null?
If he's on screen it would make sense for to have a Bitter/Anti-Hero Null make fun of him.Can I please make fun of him for his height if he is?
A girl being 5'2 isn't weird though. Not just him, Laura too since his genes affected her as well.
I wouldn't say good but it didn't offend me like it did you.You think it's good? Can you share why?
I think that was just the tone. The Old Man Logan comic showed a dystopian America ruled by super villains. In Logan mutants were just a dying breed in America because of agricultural industry introducing a chemical that turns off the X-Gene.It's a very grim experience in an even worse world
Which muddies the timeline and I'd hate it if it was just a gag because while it was funny, it did show how the X-Men in general felt about Deadpool.I forgot if it was the first or the sequel but theres also a scene where a lot of the fox actors for the newer movies are in a room and they quickly shut the door before Deadpool sees them
Dude Cannonball would have been so much cooler.NTW was going to beYou must be registered to see the linksfrom the New Mutants in early drafts of the script. Their powers are pretty similar, but hers are more energy projection than flying, invulnerability and all the other stuff he does. Before the movie, the original NTW was a creepy precog who showed up for about three panels before dying in an attack on Genosha that wiped the island clean. She showed up again in Joss Whedon's X-Men run where she was basically a different creepy character.
Incidentally, she's named after a Monster Magnet song, one of their better ones. Worth checking out if you ask me.
I kinda ignore the timeline in all the fox movies, it never makes any sense. Which is why I think Logan and Deadpool are the best ones, you could comfortably stick them into any story with the X-Men and they'll probably workWhich muddies the timeline and I'd hate it if it was just a gag because while it was funny, it did show how the X-Men in general felt about Deadpool.
Just like the comics.it never makes any sense
You're welcome! Also, I learn things on comics, thanks guys !
Not too far off the mark, actually, the budget on the film was as tight as it gets. There's an infamous story about how they almost ran out of money for stuff like the final fight in the movie. They had a big elaborate fight scene planned, but they just couldn't afford it. Ryan Reynolds not only offered to take a paycut but apparently came up with the idea of Wade forgetting his guns to bring it down to a more manageable scale (as well as one of the more memorable jokes in the movie). He also paid to get the likeness of Bea Arthur into the film out of his own pocket. He really did believe in the movie.Without being much of an expert on Cannonball, I feel like her powers are basically, "Cannonball but we already spent most of the effects budget on Colossus."
Just doing my job. If there's one thing I love doing and do well (I think, at least) it's doing deep dives on this stuff. My gf likes comics, but prefers more self-contained stuff - Rat Queens, I Hate Fairyland, that kind of thing - so it's not something I get to do very often. The thing I love about this thread is I can keep it open in front of my wife and she doesn't even notice it's a thread on a porn game.
Also, I learn things on comics, thanks guys !
Yeah, hahahahahah. I hope we can make fun of him somehow. I want him to try and reach for the anything just to have us help him.If he's on screen it would make sense for to have a Bitter/Anti-Hero Null make fun of him.
It sorta is, even more if her father is. You can make fun of anything, and with a girl who could slive any normal human being in half? It's her 5'2" genes I'm making fun of.A girl being 5'2 isn't weird though.
Offend's a misunderstanding. I think it was disrespectful to the character and story - it didn't disrespect me.I wouldn't say good but it didn't offend me like it did you.
There are mentions of a big event, right at the beginning of the movie when that long and carefully filmed scene of Logan changing Xavier's diapers occurs. Hah, but really, it hints at an extermination of some kind - and since it just hints, you can imagine it's worse.I think that was just the tone. The Old Man Logan comic showed a dystopian America ruled by super villains. In Logan mutants were just a dying breed in America because of agricultural industry introducing a chemical that turns off the X-Gene.
I'd be embarassed too, Deadpool hits towards a much larger audience with movies. And if he shows up at the institute, there're kids around, and Deadpool is not kiddy-friendly.Which muddies the timeline and I'd hate it if it was just a gag because while it was funny, it did show how the X-Men in general felt about Deadpool.
Look at this guy, he's married! What a loser, having a loving, magnificent and caring wife! Hah! Can you imagine being this much of a loser Shi - oh, no...The thing I love about this thread is I can keep it open in front of my wife and she doesn't even notice it's a thread on a porn game.
That's probably for the best, but it's a shame, man... X-Men is a... sorta nice, movie. And X-2 is genuinely fun, it's also written and directed with a lot of competence.I kinda ignore the timeline in all the fox movies, it never makes any sense. Which is why I think Logan and Deadpool are the best ones, you could comfortably stick them into any story with the X-Men and they'll probably work
I believe we are supposed to interpret that as Xavier having one of his episodes at the school and killing everyoneThere are mentions of a big event, right at the beginning of the movie when that long and carefully filmed scene of Logan changing Xavier's diapers occurs.
