Whelp this is what happens when I take a day off. To address things that haven't been accurately responded to.

I'm still holding out hope the devs realize the jealousy thing was a mistake and drop it. The game was so much better before they added it.

Not gonna happen buddy. There are three other X-Men games on this site that have little to no consequence sex you can enjoy if jealousy is a deal breaker.

Girls continue with their angry scenes after the continuous cheating, but other than lot points there doesn't seem to be much negative impact.

It's known that we do discuss possible... interactions outside of relationships but we have to focus on making it work. We steer away from porn logic as much as possible.

He's not a member of the X-Men until after the Chapter 1 finale. Which is the reason why Chapter 1 just has him being a student until events happen at the "end of the season." Quotations because in some cases the time skip has the characters doing standard stuff. Hanging out, going to classes.

Just read 125 pages worth of posts. ShinyBoots deserves Community Manager of the year trophy at the next game rewards.

Everything we do is done with "Does this make sense for the character we've written?" asked before we even put it on paper. We get a lot of demands and frustration but so far no one has actually attempted to offer a good argument beyond "I want it" and "It's a porn game."

Which to correct the second. We're a game with porn in it. We've always been transparent about that.

Nah I role play my Null as being a Southern Gentleman who worked on a ranch before going to the big city on his guitar* based arts scholarship.

*Artistic Nulls can tell Rogue the art they got the scholarship for. I chose music.

Besides, it's not like jealousy hasn't been done correctly in a game before. This one just needs a little more time to figure things out.

We're tweaking it to improve it to the best of our abilities.

An open relationship boils down to "Did you have a good night out?" "Yup." And leaving it at that. Basically, both parties can sleep with who they want, so long as they come home to each other.

It's why we made it polyamory to begin with. There was nothing logically stopping them from sleeping around. People argued Null having a magic dick or pheromones but nah. The girls like Null because he's a supportive and compatible* partner. No other reason.

*If you don't like a girl's behavior, then don't date her. (This is primarily directed at all the people demanding a sub Laura)

Save for crashes and the occasional graphical hiccup, this is 99% of the cause behind reported issues.

Stop cheating on them and give them time to heal.

That's more than valid a reason to implement flings and letting the girls sleep around with others or among themselves. Chapter 1 girls are more demure towards sex than many real girls their age, for example.
An entirely different reason to not add either would be "we don't want that", which is ok in it's own way. But were you looking for an excuse, this would be a reasonable one.

D. That unprotected one night stands don't have risk of STDs and unwanted pregnancies.

E. Thousands of years of human civilization* changing deeply rooted beliefs in no more than 3 decades.

The sexual revolution's goal, and it succeeded on Earth 69, was to remove the stigma against simply having sex. Just because there's a lack of stigma doesn't mean someone is automatically 100% okay with sleeping with strangers or letting their partner sleep around with strangers. It doesn't mean people don't want a single romantic partner, it doesn't mean people are somehow biologically more inclined to be hornier.

*The Sexual Revolution being discussed was a movement in the UK during the 60s and the North America during the 70s. It was not a global movement.

Also as an addon. We'd get more complaints if the girls slept with other dudes(NTR) than we do for people complaining about how restrictive the poly system is. Which it isn't. We've had enough people speedrun having all 3 girls without issue so a bunch of y'all are just impatient and don't read instructions.

The points you bring up are perfectly reasonable in the here and now, but when discussing Earth 69 it feels, and pardon the expression, "cherry picky". People can have standards and have sex with more than one partner, have sex with someone they don't love even if it's less enjoyable or even love more than one person, and have sex with protection and with trust worthy individuals.

Regarding the dating culture, I don't know what to say; what's that have to do with this? People can fuck without dating, and Null can date without any issue with a whole platoon. And regarding the beliefs, sure; recently was discussed that Kurt was a christian, and I guess he is in the game too, right? So it'd make sense for him to not go around meat hopping. But considering that in the span of 6 chapters there will be at least 18 girls seemingly ok with sharing one single man (some of which would cannonically have beliefs against that, I suppose), it's a contradiction to justify it with the sexual revolution and at the same time make Null the only example of someone who can have as many girlfriends at the same time as he wants and sleep around. Nobody else does, apparently. Not his girls, who are only his and the characters with most screentime, even if Null doesn't pursue them, if I remember correctly.

Now, the addon is by far the most reasonable answer, and I know well that if you guys added the mere optional possibility of the girls having sex with anyone other than Mr. Me, they'd make whatever Madeninggg has thought about doing to you if you spoil the story mild in comparison. But while this is singlehandedly more than enough to not introduce that into the game, I think that justifying it ingame is either hard, or impossible.

As a side note, while I was writing this post, I got a notification of Madeninggg replying to me saying exactly what is said in the addon. So I guess that settles it, lol.

The only similarity is that it will be possible to date them all at once while being the exclusive male in the relationship. You could say Null manages to find the perfect 15+ girls who are okay with the arrangement and just so happen to have art and writing in our game

Do keep in mind that one of the major requirements for being poly with the gals is that they approve of and are friends with whomst'ever you're planning to date. While the three characters currently available are able to get along with just a bit of a nudge by Null, there's no way that will be a universal trend going on.
