Fair point.
Is there anything in the source material to support the Kinks of Jean (faux incest/Dom) and Rogue (Sub/humiliation)?
Kind of.
Jean's always been a bit of a thin character (at least IMO) but mainly she's depicted as something of a den mother, particularly in the early days. She's the sensible girl who keeps the boys grounded and together. Cyclops aside, her relationship with the team always comes across as very sisterly. Once Storm comes in later, their eventual sisterhood is talked about directly in the dialogue, though with their age difference in TNH I've no idea if that'll be a thing. The dom angle definitely comes from the whole Dark Phoenix aspect. We'll have to see if that's taken any further in Chapter 2.
Comics Rogue is typically a super confident, superpowered Southern belle, though that's tempered by the insecurities of her initial origins and the fact she can't touch anybody. So that confidence is arguably a front, to an extent, yet it's still a major facet of her character. Rogue's personality here owes far more to the movies and most obviously
X-Men: Evolution than it does the comics. Arguably, I can quite easily see comics Rogue as a switch or a secret sub. You know, like, mutie freak on the streets, meek in the sheets. We'll never know for sure though, since Marvel has thus far neglected to show whatever it is her and Gambit get up to when they're off-panel.
