Okay I'm back from spending the weekend with some friends and now I'm suffering holiday depression time to get back to work.
cracks knuckles
I listed someone from the exact setting we're using. If you think they're normal humans, especially Dare Devil, then you should probably reread the comics or hell, watch the TV shows/movies.
We got someone who speaks several languages from territories of the former USSR on board but we do welcome corrections if they slip through the cracks.
Yes. I'm saying it now. If it's something that requires art to be made, the reason it's not in the game is because of our art budget priority.
Building off Evil's post. The girls and Nightcrawler give you borderline 4th wall breaking detailed instructions.
I'm making a general statement. People being unwilling to read is not a fault of the game.
There are hundreds of games on this website that are literally press button for sex. A lot of them are very good. If you don't want to pay the fuck attention, don't play our game. We've already hit Ubisoft levels of handholding. It is legitimately impossible for us to give clearer instructions. For the love of god just fucking read what Kurt and the girls tell you because they are giving explicit instructions on how to progress.
There are three other X-Men games in active development that have that as the point of their game. Play them instead of demanding we meet your specific desires.
I'll preface that this response lacks the aggression of the ones I've made above.
We've had this argument levied at us for about 2 years. Our game has yet to fall apart and development has continued.
If people don't read the tags then that's on them.
You're free to mod and we encourage you to mod. We'll even advertise it for you. Kirby, the guy who made the trainer mod, was welcomed with open arms and I've directed people to his mod.
However, we have literal hundreds of players who enjoy the current experience. We tweak things as needed but we have an audience and we're catering to the audience who wants the game that we're making.
By this point whether our game is considered too grindy is 100% subjective. We've had just as many people tell us it's fine as we've had people who have complained.
We're making a game for an audience that has contributed greatly and we are unwilling to change what they like about our game to cater to mass appeal.
As I've inferred more than once. We are actively avoiding the "please everyone" approach to game design. Despite how it sounds at face value, pushing people away from your game is not a bad thing. It just means it's not their thing. People won't play horror games if they don't like horror. People won't play RPGs if they don't like RPGs. People won't play our game if they don't want a relationship/life sim game set in the X-Men universe.
The presentation is pretty obvious. You get a girl. If you don't earn her trust and consent she gets upset and refuses to talk to you for an extended period of time. It's rather in your face in how cheating will punish you and going through the process of creating a polycule will reward you.
We've said since day one that we wanted more depth than what RLE had going on with its jealousy system. The "earlier version" you speak of was an alpha. A more complex polyamory experience has always been something we planned, we just didn't have a concrete idea until we added the current system.
General reminder we are in active development. Things can and will change.
An example of how the grind of the game is subjective and someone acknowledging that they are aware that the game is in active development.
We've held polls on discord. People have successfully polyculeed all characters in less than an hour of play time.
Dude, if I say we're going off what the comics did that is in no way artistic license.
I'm just gonna pull out the "we're in active development" card. I'm personally in favor of some translucent tops with maybe some pasties or tape to make it extra risqué.
It seems that way. Luckily we have people who have memorized my responses to common questions and others who speculate accurately.
Dude, how many times do we have to explain to you that just because the America Earth-69 is
less stigmatized against sex that doesn't mean modesty and personal comfort went the way of the dinosaur. This is what? The fifth time with YOU specifically?
The girls are willing to experiment more with anal and deep throating. They're quick to use birth control that can fight off healing factors which was developed because it didn't face as strong opposition as birth control in the real world did, they'll change their pubic hair and dress skimpily because they know you think it's hot*, they're willing to walk around with a vibrator inside them. They're open to the idea of sharing you. All they ask for that is you have them involved in the process.
You may drop a line like "without the people involved being degenerate sluts." but every time this topic comes up your argument boils down to you wanting that exact thing.
I'm frankly done with this argument because you're either unwilling or incapable of differentiating a world where people are more accepting of sex and a world running on porn logic.
*Again a message to everyone else, we're still actively working on the shame system.
I wish more people put in the effort you did. We're not just saying buzzwords or being pedantic.
A pubic style expansion is possible but I hope you understand it wouldn't be the highest on the priority list.
You can. No promise on when we'll get around to it though.
Correction. Two characters are confirmed to have subby paths. Whether there's a dom or if the two mentioned will be exclusively sub is not confirmed. I only mentioned it because I wanted to assure that people unhappy with how dom Laura and Jean are that there will be waifus that won't choke them out during sex.
I need to clarify that the BDSM system is not even remotely close on being a thing any time soon. The devs have asked me to stop talking about it for the same reason I was asked to stop thirsting over male characters. I've accidentally had people think it's coming sooner than it actually will.
As someone with a degree in clinical psychology, I can confirm that they in fact can be.
Orgasms help with depression, anxiety, muscle tension, insomnia, and low blood pressure.
Though I must clarify that it won't help everyone and becoming a gooner is not a proper replacement for therapy and medication when it comes to serious mental issues.
I am in no way promising, confirming, or implying that Emma will be romancable or fully fuckable during chapter 2. But... As she is the primary antagonist of chapter 2. If you disregard Mastermind's part in bringing out dark phoenix and that Selene will not be front and center because of our rules. The possibility of Emma and Null having a flirty, potentially sexually charged, back and forth is something that may happen as she does use her sexuality to toy with those that catch her eye.
Please pay attention to the big, bolded, and underlined text. If anyone takes this as a way to mislead others in the same way that people kept on saying 0.7, 0.8, 0.9, or 1.0 was chapter 2 this will be the last time I hint at future content
