Is Laura's spring quest buggy or something I don't understand? The last two tasks are simply not marked as completed, I arranged both a group training session and a date at the mall.

Hello, can you add Hisako Ichiki. Especially her 2011 Xmen
Story based on classic X-Men comics(til Onslaught Saga if i'm not mistaken), so character that have her first appearance in 2004 comic have low chances to appear.
Laura is exception because of the history of the game's creation

It's random events, not something that you can activate.
First event activated when Laura and Anna-Marie are both in Danger Room
Second event activated when you sleep in your room alone, i think.

Can someone explain the quirk system to me? I've identified a couple but I don't want to keep restarting to figure out what they mean specifically. So far I've just been a yes man to all the quirks but I'm not sure what they're actually doing to the characters personalities. (P.S. I'd also like to know more about the archetype system introduced at the end of chapter 1, so far I've gone with pure reluctant.)

the quirks can be summed up as their personalities. with Rogue, her quirk is giving you control over every choice she makes making her the submissive in the relationship. as for the archetypes system, it just sums up how you approach the situation so it's basically like the paragon and renegade system in the Mass Effect series

The devs decided that there needed to be an end point for storylines, otherwise people would be bitching about why their favourite character wasn't in the game.

To that end, they decided they would take a time frame of storylines and just work from there, so basically from the Dark Phoenix Saga in the early 80s, right up to the Onslaught Saga that ended in 96. That's nearly 15 years of storylines and characters, plenty to work with. So unfortunately, 1996 is the cutoff year for adding characters and unfortunately for you, Hisako Ichiki was created in 2004.
