Gonna be a lengthy ass read, I apologize
New update you say? Well it's time for me to make an extensively long ass rant and theory that probably wasted my time but god damn is it fun to speculate! Anyway, just going to predict or outline what's gonna happen in this game then see how fucking wrong I am 10 years from now (assuming I haven't kicked the bucket)
CHAPTER 1

Honestly, nothing really happens here but just sets up a lot of things
CHAPTER 2: The Phoenix Saga and The Dark Phoenix Saga

- Most likely will adapt a version of the storylines of the Phoenix Saga and the Dark Phoenix Saga
- In NH, Jean first "unlocks the phoenix force" during a confrontation with the Shadow King which is different in the comics where in she unlocks it by sacrificing herself to save her teammates from crashing in a spacecraft then being re-born as the phoenix after dying.
- Jean's story will likely be about her learning more about her powers but slowly be corrupted by it due the the influence of Emma Frost and the Hellfire Club. She might go rogue and become the dark phoenix but your boy Null will snap her back into place I'm betting. She may die then be revived or not or could also be replaced by her clone Maddie but who knows, cause I don't, im just fucking guessing.
- We might likely meet Kitty the same way in the comics, at the Mall with some Hellfire Club members. Regardless, her storyline might include her coming to terms with her being a mutant, the Hellfire Club being after her and Null, as the older student now, probably mentoring her. One of Kitty's storylines too will likely involve us meeting Lockheed since the devs said if Kitty appears, Lockheed may also appear.
- As for Dazzler's story, given her comics origin, we might actually meet her if we head to town while there's probably a Dazzler concert occurring. Like before, Hellfire Club members show up to get Dazzler but the X-men stop her and she joins us. In the comics, she doesn't become an X-men immediately per say but helps them so I'm assuming her storyline will likely involve us tracking the Hellfire Club as well as her joining us.
- For Rogue and X-23, probably learn more about them and their backstory as well as on how they feel about their status as X-men. The devs did say that Rogue, Kurt, Laura and Null will be officially be part of the X-men team by Chapter 2.
- Colossus will act like the kurt character in chapter 1 so most likely involving training perhaps?
- Based from the devs, Spider-Man is in his second year of heroism and hasn't gotten the black suit in Chapter 1. However by Chapter 2, he's in third year already and given my timeline of hypothetical guesses, the events of Secret Wars I are now occurring which would allow him to get the black suit as well as set the events of Secret Wars II for Chapter 3. Why? The Dev saids Null will eventually meet the Beyonder so the events of Secret Wars II will have had to occur at some point in the NH universe.
- as the devs said "Havok and Polaris are reserve members of the team and we will be introduced to them in Chapter 2" My guess? Probably after the events of Dark Phoenix or end of the chapter will see them help in a fight but get Polaris as a main Love Interest in Chapter 3 since she's a key figure in the next arc.
- On another note, the devs said that "technically The Brood are a thing in this universe, but it's unlikely we fight them in the game". To me at least, we might not get the Brood Saga at all.
- I don't think Proteus will be involved at all either.
- Days of Future Past might not be adapted? Given how Rachel summers can only exist if Jean Grey and Cyclops are a couple. However, the devs did say that the multiverse may become something in NH so maybe that's how she gets introduced. However, since that story involves a lot of elseworld like stuff and timelines, I doubt it will happen but who knows? devs could just swerve and make chapter 3 days of future past but for me, I'm guessing what's next is....
CHAPTER 3: New Mutants, God Loves Man Kills & Mutant Massacre, Secret Wars II

- Will most likely adapt New Mutants, God Loves Man Kills & Mutant Massacre, Secret Wars II.
- I doubt it will adapt the Asgard stuff considering that was much more of a cross over.
- The story will heavily revolve around the conflict between the marauders and the morlocks as well as Null being introduced to their conflict.
- I mention God Loves Man Kills since the devs might do it but its up to them. All I can theorize is that Stryker might play some role with the creation of the Legacy Virus. the Devs state it will be a major storyline. My best guess with Null's nullification ability, he might be of great interest.
- Angel as the next male friend, I guess since the devs say he will eventually appear with or without wings but he's busy with the champions as of Chapter 1 but if not him then maybe Iceman, Wolverine or Cyclops. IDK
- Polaris is a definite player since she's heavily involved in the mutant massacre storyline as well as the next storylines in my series of guesses.
- Since New mutants were established around this time, Im guessing maybe will have one of them will appear as a love interest. My best guesses are either Mirage or Wolfsbane since they're the most popular.
- Emma Frost doesn't really get involved nor even Join the X-men but since this is an AU, in NH, she might eventually defect from the Hellfire Club due to Null being Null and become a love interest
- Another candidate would be Psylocke but I'm leaning on her being more of the Teased character than a Love Interest in the chapter. She does play a pivotal role in Mutant Massacre but not as much once the fall of Mutants occurs. Plus, around this time, she's still an agent and not the assassin ninja we know. that comes later after some body swap shenanigan's with Kwannon. Plus, she doesn't get her iconic costume till much later in the series in the Claremont run.
- Alternatively, we could be teased with Mystique as the next playable Love interest. Why? well for one, she's the leader of the marauders and caused the massacre of the morlocks. we could have her defect and Join the x-men because of null as well. Her being involved also would have some interesting consquences for Kurt since Mystique is her mom after all.
- Possibly, we might get 3 X-men teams with that being New Mutants, X-factor and X-men. X-factor being the much older alumni team, the x-men being the current active one and new mutants being the younger team. I guess only though.
- Add to all of this, I'm pretty sure around this part of the story Secret Wars II is happening in the background and Null will be involved probably to a minor degree in it since he will meet the beyonder.
CHAPTER 4: Trial of Magneto, Fall of the Mutants & Inferno

- A lot more speculation on this part but these are the 3 storylines im guessing might be the cover of Chapter 4
- Why Trial of Magneto? I don't think it will fully play out in the game but might be mention as something that happened. This is important because after the events of the mutant massacre, Xavier is basically injured and Magneto becomes headmaster which would be cool since Xavier in NH is based on Patrick Steward and they could then base Magneto with Ian McKellen. A cool way to add him to the game as well as cause drama with her literal daughter Polaris as a love interest and causing conflict will Null.
- As for Fall of the Mutants and & Inferno, it's either one of these two being adapted or a mixed version of both. Why? Fall of Mutants basically revolves around the X-men fighting the Adversary and would involve the multiverse to a degree. Since the devs did say that that will be a factor then maybe it will be introduced here. As for Inferno, it will heavily involve Madelyn Pryor and some invasion of demons as well as Mr. Sinister. However, the problem is Madelyn Pryor, for that to work, Jean must have died in one of the chapters and a clone of her appears but I'm not sure how that will work since if they do her then wouldn't it be reusing assets with Jean's Model?
- However, Inferno is adapted, we could have Magik be involved or be a love interest given her "mutant abilities" and interest in the occult.
- Take note though, X-Tinction Agenda might not occur at all considering that Magneto in this universe May have already liberated Genosha but devs could also change their mind.
- Legacy Virus is gonna happen and Null will be involved with it and what happens to the Rasputins the dev says so introducing Magik here would be key.
- As for who's gonna get teased no clue since I'm running thin on X-men women. Not sur eif the devs will add love interests outside x-men characters such as X-force, avengers etc.
CHAPTER 5: Muir Island Saga and The Legacy Virus
- THE MOST HEAVILY speculated guess I'm doing but since the Shadow King is the main baddy of NH, I bet everything will conclude with an adaptation of the Muir Island Saga as well as some of the Legacy Virus considering what Null's powers are. Legacy Virus is after Claremont run but given how the direction is going some elements may be adapted im guessing.
- As for which love interests are gonna appear, I don't really know except maybe Jubilee since she was introduced around this time. Also, since at this point, Null most likely has already graduated from college. If he stays to teach there then will have an interesting teacher student dynamic with Jubilee
CHAPTER 6:
- IDK anymore, might just be infinite sandbox mode with the dev's adding dlc girls
Lastly, is Null canonically green in Ronchon's saves? every promotional material he's shown in, he's always fucking green xD
