Best aggregate summary for Scott's core character for good and ill across the comics I can put together.
More or less, Scott is, at least in this era, a deeply heroic character who is forced to be a leader in situations he is just not equipped to deal with mainly because he is the only one who can. It gets noticed in the comics where he needs to train the team, and his mounting frustrations and grief interfere. He does acknowledge he is flawed and making mistakes though.

After this era.... Well I really hope Null is David Haller because that level of BS on the side of X-men would avert so much stupid and generally being a reasonable friend would avert far more whenever the Universe isn't bending itself to make everyone seem like they swallowed a gallon of powdered lead and mercury.
Oh boy wait till you get to The End of the World as We Know It, Probably the biggest turning point for Cyclops as a character.
I'm probably just going to stick to the Chris Claremont era. It gets so dumb from there on after, and the latest comics are just outright offensive.

Just want to bring up that Scott's negative traits seem to be a later addition because they just aren't present at this point and later he... *check's wiki* ... Oh dear god what did they do to Scott!

*check's Xavier* ... What the hell did they do to Xavier!

*check's the rest of the X-Men* ... What the fuck Marvel!
Thats what i meant with the X-men we knew.
The current X-men are unrecognizable and proved fucking Bolivar Trask right, they are undistinguishable from the brotherhood.

Dipping a bit here and there into the early 00s selectively isn't a terrible idea but yes agreed on the current run.

I mostly read summaries and wikis, not actual comic books, but what I read about Beast was also... like opposite of Beast of the era I have known. From the enlightened guy that allowed people to arrest him and trusted the process to some psycho, crazy scientist. Like every scientist/inventor has to, no exception that I can think of, become villain in the end.

Quick question about android - the game crashes whenever I launch through Joiplay (instantly). This doesn't happen with other games. When I play via the android port I can't load older saves and have to start new every update. Is there anything I can do?

It took me hours to find a bug-

But apparently when trying to give Jean the mystery and wholesome romance novels, even after she's willing to accept them, they never get removed from inventory, and also never increase trust/love like I'd expect them too.

I don't know if the dev is lurking here like some do, but is this a known issue?

Also in a weird way, playing through the game, this is quickly becoming one of my favorite X-Men adaptations...that just happens to be a game with porn in it-

I'm curious, I'm wrapping up chapter 1 winter, and have spent a lot of time just building character relations and stats, how much of the game is there? And is 1.0 only going to be chapter 1 of the game? Curious how much content is in the game since most of the time, a 1.0 release would be equivalent to a fully completed game.

Devs do lurk here, Jean not accepting has been noted as a bug already and there's an 8b in beta just now that should fix it. Currently the game goes to summer, with a heck of a finale. 1.0 will be the completed chapter 1, with all of the systems in place so that chapter 2 should just be art / story starting in 1.1.

This is definitely the adaptation that made me wanna read the comics for real, instead of constructing my knowledge piece-by-piece.

The game currently runs up to the end of Null's first year at the Institute. That's chapter 1- there's gonna be 5-6 chapters, leading through the Onslaught Saga and then a final chapter for epilogue stuff and groundwork for potential sequels (fingers crossed). The rest of 0.8, 0.9 and 1.0 will be filling out ch 1 and the game's core systems as thoroughly as possible to deliver a "complete" experience and to future-proof the mechanics so that the rest of the game is just adding art and plot. Ch 2 starts with 1.1.

I will say, I'm curious, if "combat" of some sort has already been implemented, or WILL be implemented, as I've noticed there being "alerts" on the map that seems like it'd be for when the Null character becomes an official X-Men and starts doing missions, currently on Spring, so I don't know if it's going to be introduced during Summer or something-

But it'd definitely be interesting to see the skill tree and all get a bit more fleshed out, and get more options for leveling besides just the danger room and classes/studying.

I'm also curious though because it seems like at this rate, Null's power seems like it could snowball fairly quick into being borderline overpowered with how quickly his powers change and adapt.

But yeah, loving it so far, just curious what the schedule is gonna be like for example for updates, and how much the game is gonna change from 0.8 to 1.0. Especially if combat or missions get involved.

There was that whole thing with Scott abandoning his wife and unborn child during the Claremont era. Still, nothing that happened back then can match the cringe of unironically trying to portray Scott as having committed genocide.

It'd more accurately be 0.1.0 when we're putting into the context of 1.0 = full release.

Or you could argue that it is 1.0 because that that point all the game systems we have discussed internally will be in and everything afterward will be story content. Similar to how the first episode of The Walking Dead by Tell Tale was a "1.0".

Either way we hope you enjoy what we have cooking up.

Combat has been discussed. We currently have a million ideas and don't want to give possible ideas until we can narrow them down.

Slight misconception.

She gave him an ultimatum. Stop Super Heroing or she's leaving. His friends were in danger and he chose to save lives... and she left.

It's still not great but a lot of people have misremembered it as him abandoning a wife and child to date Jean again. Which has never been the case.

He and Emma broke up before Jean came back the second time and Emma mind tricking Scott into nearly sleeping with her was Emma being a betty bitch to Jean over bitterness stemming from the Dark Phoenix Saga.

In Psylocke's Case, Jean died AGAIN and Psylocke's boyfriend died too so it was mutual comfort.

Scott NEEDs someone to go to and comfort him once he's "off the clock". He has the intelligence to be a leader but he has underlying anxiety that builds up if there isn't a big tittied telepath at home to give him a hug and tell him everything is going to be alright.

Again I have the stance I do because Scott actually hasn't cheated on anyone. Havok has. If the misinformation around Scott didn't exist, my hate for Alex/Havok would be substantially lowered.

I mean even past Scott and Jean "broke up" before Scott and Kamala became the most adorable "couple" in Marvel comics for a hot minute.

I think we could all benefit from a big tittied telepath, tbh.

Havok being the way he is made me so glad that they finally decided to drop the Bobby, Polaris and Havok Triangle and just make Bobby gay. Dude was unnecessarily an ass to Bobby too often.

Forgot to mention the arc I mentioned is written by Claremont, it's just a particularly messed up event for Scott.
