I can't tell if you're shit posting or if you've somehow missed the explanation after explanation. I've written on the mechanics of this during the jealousy bug. The game itself, the characters themselves even mention this. You're not in a relationship with them until you've agreed to be their boyfriend.

Yep super abandoned. Ultra-mega abandoned. So abandoned in fact that 0.8b releases end of day tomorrow, probably. Testing for the beta is wrapping up so unless there are any major bugs discovered it should be SOONTM. This is all per the Big Boss himself earlier on the Discord.
