Honestly, in a world where people actually want to make money, we would have gotten an X-men RPG like persona already, you make your own OC the mutant, choose your class (powers) and go have x-men adventures and hang out with your favourite characters to unlock social links.

Of course it fucking does, it would be rad, it would fulfill all the kid fantasies of a couple of generations, imagine a god damn mix of knights of the old republic with marvel ultimate alliance and getting to fly around the blackbird to do cool super hero shit, you dont even need to make it a massive game.

It was actually an alright game. It makes a lot of references and showcases characters that don't even get a mention in the X-Men and Ultimate Alliance games.

Just sucks that you have to have a physical copy since it's been wiped off the web and getting PS3 and 360 emulation to work is a bitch and a half.

Any file hash checker. Linux and I assume MacOS can run `sha256sum file.zip`, Windows users have to install/run some third party tool.
They're not some secret code, they're just a way to verify the integrity of the file you downloaded, to know for sure that what you have is what the original publisher intended you to get and no one slipped anything sussy in.

SHA256 is checksum standard. It's a tool for ensuring what was sent matches exactly what was received since shit can get messed up between download starting and download finishing. It's commonly used in roles where people routinely large files that are slow to do shit with (so if there's a problem with it, the extra step to detect the problem quickly and just re-download a hopely non-broken version second time around is likely time well spent) and in cases where there's a motive for fuckery to make things not work as expected (hacking, spy shit, criminals, whatever else) with even small stuff.

It's not really encryption, it's more like how

to immediately tell if they're a valid credit card number or not (so someone punching them in can be immediately told to fix their mistake, preventing frustration rather than thinking it's the website or computer's problem they're not accepted).
