The lead dev of this game is an actual medical doctor getting his PHD...who also codes this game. And apparently codes it well enough for it to be moddable and open, not that I'd know anything about it. Dude's a real life superhuman. I'm legitimately impressed, that is some drive. Doing all this in residency is just insane.

I thought medical doctors get MD's, not PHD's. Am I wrong on that?

the economics of Adamantium
It doesn't naturally occur on Earth. The only source of it is a comet that, depending on continuity, landed in Wakanda.

Because of real world events, the new Captain America movie got taken away from the Middle East and is now focusing on an international incident over who owns newly discovered Adamantium.

Reminder that Fox owned Adamantium so the MCU had to use Vibranium. Which landed in Wakanda and Atlantis in the MCU.

Read up on Canadian war crimes. Canada is not as nice as people think.
Neither is their healthcare but that's an off topic discussion if I've ever heard of one.

In the 616 universe wasn't it a super expensive to make man made alloy that the us government keeps the formula a secret? Or in this universe it's like in the movies and it does come from space?

Adamantium is a man-made alloy and only a very small handful of people in the 616 universe are aware of the complete formula.

There are also several variations in 616.
- Proto-adamantium - What Captain America's shield is made from. It's the original adamantium and has never been replicated. It is truly considered indestructible (the five times the shield had been broken all involved god-like powers).
- True Adamantium - this is what was used on Wolverine. Not as strong or as durable as Proto-adamantium, it is able to be reproduced, though at very high costs. This recipe is what the US keeps secret.
- Secondary Adamantium - easier to work with, much more cost effective, but it comes at the cost of the material being much weaker. Characters with considerable superhuman strength, such as Thor, can break it or warp it by going all out.
- Adamantium Beta - only found in Wolverine. His healing factor caused a molecular change in the True Adamantium, meaning that it doesn't inhibit the biological processes of bone.
- Carbonadium is also here even though it is less durable than True Adamantium, it is nearly indestructible and was developed by the USSR to counter Adamantium. Its a radioactive metal that is stronger than steel and was more malleable (and cheaper) than adamantium.

yo how does the polyamory stuff work? I haven't played in a number of patches, enough that my old saves don't work anymore, and I have no idea what a good way of getting anyone's polyamory stat up is, and even more pressing is that now that I'm dating rogue (not in a serious relationship yet), i can't date x-23? have i not triggered something or do I have to earn my dates elsewhere?

they need to be good friends and you need to ask Rogue if it's cool to date Laura otherwise trouble happens

anyone know when the update might happen? I am in withdrawal and not sure if finishing the game another time (did 3 times) can help

game Updates

hey friends!

I bring news about 0.8: I am forced to delay its release until early March at the earliest. the reason is that I will be defending my PhD at the end of February and have come to the grim realization that I need to grind for the next month and a half to finish my thesis. with past work grinds I've been able to fit in some time to code and animate, but I'm afraid I need to take this one a little more seriously

never fear, our artists and writers continue to churn away on new CGs and scenes, so 0.8 will end up being a larger update than initially planned!

I also just wanted to take a second to acknowledge that our Patreon hit $3000 per month this week! we are so very grateful for your support. it wasn't that long ago that I was ruining my credit score to fund our art, so to be able to hire our character artist full-time without sinking into the red really means a lot to everyone on the dev team. we've been prioritizing character art for these past few months, but with this level of funding I'll soon be able to start paying for clothing art again, which I know has been a big requested item from the community"

Anybody with a PhD can use the title Doctor because it's also doctorate degree. They don't have to be medical doctors to use the title. As example, Jill Biden has a PhD in education and is often referred to as Doctor Jill. It can be confusing like when Whoopi Goldberg was going on about how Dr. Jill would be good in the position of Surgeon Genera because of what a good doctor she is until one of the other hosts of the show reminded her that she wasn't a doctor and her degree was in education.

In addition to what drifter139 said: Your Trust points with Rogue (since that's who you're dating first) have to be at 600. You can check your numbers by going to the Journal, clicking on "Rogue: Dating" and it'll tell you how much Love and Trust you'll need for polyamory. She'll most likely yell at you for flirting with the other two at this point, but story events are fairly generous at giving out Love and Trust points throughout the seasons, and trust points can be gained though going to class, training, training, and studying with the girls.

With all that said, it's generally better to go for poly late game, unless you want to use sleepingkirby's cheat injector.

I get the feeling that Medical Doctorates get about 5 years into the industry after residency and then stop to think about what they're ACTUALLY doing with their life. 1/2 of the docs that exit stage left go hide in the woods, and the other half start some crazy fucking project that they realize their untapped potential for.

Almost always the feeling is one of having taken the first breath of fresh air in potentially their entire adult life. Huge respect for doctors not only in the field but who realize that their life lies outside of it too. Nobody remembers a doc who courageously and selflessly worked for 40+ years besides those they treat and those they feed.

Y'all going into off topic territory.
At least it's not yet another argument about NTR :HideThePain:

As for the game itself, this response lead me to reading the Q&A and No list. Helped me with some information I was missing.
Apparently Nightcrawler is off the table... for now.
Have you heard on the discord exactly what's happening with Storm?
