If it'll satisfy anyone and help keep this TNH thread on topic: the only thing close to a major X-Men character to get a tattoo because it's a valid interpretation that it is normal behaviour for a major X-Men character to want a tattoo I can think of is one single example:

Kitty Kate Pryde, in the 2019 Marauders run during the Immortal X-Men arc. I don't care to summarise the run; read it or don't, in providing what the run's called I've saved anyone who cares a lot of work already. You're welcome.

My review of the comics is "if you've no high opinion of Immortal X-Men (or recent comics), this run where she dresses up as a pirate captain will do nothing to make any reader reconsider."

My opinion of the strength of it's evidence for an argument that X-Men characters may desire tattoos is: this is unconvincing evidence of a generalised desire by major X-Men characters for tattoos, from a period of X-Men comics falling decades outside the scope of TNH's desired reference sources.

I've no interest in further discussion on a matter that's is a strain for me to address on-topic as I see it as crossing the line into bad netiquette and becoming a pest and burden for Shiny and F95's moderation.

I hated the binge drinking treated as just an inconsequential aesthetic for pirate clout. Felt like it was meant as clumsy attempt at marketing her to readers who're fans of Jack Sparrow when really it was just pissing away any integrity I'd credit Marvel after Iron Man stories like Demon In A Bottle.

A young adult surrounded by people who've known her for years and nobody says shit when she starts drinking like a fish. Hated it.

The when is when it's done. As for content:

Does she have a black eye? It seems like being a pirate is difficult. And it's a shame. It might even hurt....
Yeah she got... Edgy and forgot all her martial arts enhanced by years of dancing, as well as her further combat training with the Guardians of the Galaxy and became a brawler... because pirate. She also frequently forgot that she could phase through punches and seemingly made the active decision to tank them.

The point being is that Red Queen Katherine simply was not Kitty Pryde in any way shape or form and was essentially character assassination.

Wow, leave it to Marvel to crack an argument while suporting it. Having to break her character this hard is more proof that Kitty wouldn't easily do tattoos then anything else I've seen to date. :LUL: Though I feel that TNH writers could make it work with little issue. Does line up with her apparent penchant for bad cosplay.

My dude, they live in fucking new york, not in some amish commune.

Your whole argument does not make A LICK of sense, i cannot prove a negative, if the source material doesnt show them with tatoos, if none of their characterizations shows them with tattoos, if nothing in their years worth of comics show any interest whatsoever about that, then they canonically, do not want tattoos, you cant sit there and tell me to "prove it".

Like whatever the hell you want dude, thats not the point, but you cant go around arguing that they should have them because for you it feels that way, they arent like that in the comics, just take that as it is, thats how their characters are, anything else is on you.
Honestly I don't know how we keep missing each other in this sense. I presented the chalange to "prove a negative" to illustrate that it is silly to claim that getting tattoos breaks their character if an aversion to them was never established as a part of their character. Just as silly me insisting something like they must have them because Alternative girls like them have tats. That they haven't yet doesn't mean that they wouldn't ever.

I've had a client in his 60s for their first tattoo because they now had something important enough to immortalize and hold close. If one could change their stance on tattoos after 6 decades due to love, why couldn't a submissive masochistic goth do so for the same reason? I'm not talking absolutes like "should", but possiblilities like "could". I mean, we have Rogue being a fan of NIN (despite no precedence for it in comic canon) simply because she has a goth fase and that we know irl goths are often fan of such bands. I don't see why that's not an issue but the openess to tats is, even though that's just as likely for a goth as the music choice.

At this point I conclude it's either our core reason for our positions are just too far apart or I'm failing miserably to get my point across. Eitherway I will leave this cake as a peace offering so we can continue with waiting for Storm as a LI and headpats for Laura.

I honestly can't tell any more if Marvel is ashamed that their characters have abilities or skills, forget they exist, or just straight up never bothered to read their own material.

The fact that a porn game is more comic-accurate than the official comics will never stop amusing and depressing me.

Remember, I read like 60 years of X-Men comics for fun before I even got involved with this game.

If I fail at getting the heart of the characters right, I have no choice but to commit sudoku.

The second likely. Look at any version of Scarlet Witch made by Disney, always a villain or an antihero at best. Main reason, I presume? She's just too powerful in terms of her abilities and they have no clue what to do with her, other than pit her against a bunch of D-listers and use the power of friendship to win.

I'd say more like they just don't care anymore. I mean, look how badly they fumbled things like She-Hulk and Captain Marvel. at this point, Disney Marvel is creatively bankrupt

ShinyBoots1993 Once again I need some clarity:
1) Why there is a pool parties at winter? +1.6 centigrades is little too cold for pool, no?
2) Situation - Laura is in Danger Room already, I'm throwing "let's train" in group chat, Jean and Rogue come in, only Jean and Rohue in training session. Is that works as intended? All 3 are in that chat.
3) There is no relationship quests, except the friendship ones. Something broke or that is design change? Events themselves still happen normally, i think.

I'm on the beta19, but that game is started on earlier one, can't remember the number.
