Mr Sinister had a certain someone put together a team of mercenaries and lead them into those sewers. The mercenaries, called the Marauders then proceeded to slaughter the Morlocks. And in trying to defend the Morlocks, the X-men suffered long term injuries to several members of the team, including Angel having his wings amputated after they were pinned to a wall by one of the Marauders.

Laura is the template, X-23s are an entire line of clones, those in particular (PAR, Zelda, Bellona and Gabrielle) are just a specific group.



Technically, you can get mass produced X-23s, they just wouldnt be Laura mentally, they didnt have her life experiences, just her genes.

So do watch out in the game if you ever run across Laura and she has red eyes.

She is fluctuate from being "poor used girl" to "high profile assassin" to "stellar defender of Mutant-Kind" to "too evil to exist", depending on author and era, but she have a giant advantage over any other mutant girlfriends in hentai games, shapeshifting, no wonder Azazel is quite smitten with her.
