Sorry for chipping in, the next version, 0.9x is the one where the story/plot is going to move again or there is still framework for the game left?
No. After 0.9 is 1.0 to try and finalize and catch everything. There may be new interactions and content added, but 1.1 is the story continuation. They are doing a lot of grunt work now to make life easier later without the need to keep changing systems and keep instability down.

Chapter 4 is when the dev team sat me down for the intervention for putting too much effort into plot outlines.

This is me informing you that while we have ideas for Chapter 4, unlike Chapter 3, we don't have anything remotely close to set in stone.

The whole X-Men being in 5 different books thing is something we'll get to when we get to it.

I can say that Null will have nothing to do with X-Factor. As the whole point of that run was to get the OG group back together.
Yeah, I do not envy you and the rest of the dev team when you get to chapter 4 because of how massively things expand, as well as the fact that pretty much all the X-Men get scattered to the winds even within their own books.

Thanks. I swear i read the dev roadmap, but forgot about it.

The beta version is now available for download on Discord.
Remember that this is a beta version and that if you find any bugs, don't forget to report them.

RonChon:
Game Updates v0.8c.beta1 going up in download-links!
note: there are a good number of interactions that are converted but need their flags and trigger points tweaked. this is the main thing that we'll be working on finishing for the public beta. expect more and more diverse reactions as the beta approaches finalization

for now, it is extremely helpful to report any character dialogue, particularly in the sandbox, that doesn't make sense or feels awkward in any way. there's still a good bit of polish to be applied to the system since we're basically trying to approximate natural language with combinatorics

Anyone here playing the beta version (if so, experience?), or rather waiting for the public release?

Yes. And I haven't gotten that far. Was testing GreenEyedLaura.
Ronchon renamed the chapter 1 characters in the files to "FirstnameLastname" so LauraKinney". Except in the cinematics so in ch1_s1 it's still "laura". Had to check everywhere for what got renames.
After renaming things work.

I'll play more of the update now.

If you aren't on Discord, accept my hug if you want the game version build.

Edit: GreenEyedLaura updated as "GreenEyedLaura_0.8c"

East coast accents sound sexy on women to me. Its like the horseshoe effect or whatever. Theyre so bad that they turn right back around to being good
Never really heard any East Coast accents IRL myself, but I think my high watermark for 'hot' in that particular geographical range would have to be Marisa Tomei in My Cousin Vinny.

Unfortunately, I can't think of any X-Girls who canonically speak like that (unless I'm forgetting somebody), so no chance we'll see this in TNH.

X-Girls? Yeah I can't think of any.
Captain America is the only one I can think of that is from Brooklyn. But he grew up in a household raised by Irish immigrants, so if anything he should have a bit of an Irish twang.

The only North American accent that sounds pleasant to my ears when a woman speaks it is Mississippi. So lucky me with Rogue.

Women speaking in a Scottish accent always sounds endearing to me.
